We absolutely loved staying in this condo, and will come back again! The condition was perfect, including our favorite room which was the enclosed porch where we could easily open the sliders and let the fresh salt air come in and listen to the waves. The host was super generous to even arrange for us to stay an extra day! Thank you for letting us rent this beautiful condo!

Island house

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: While we LOVE the staff, location of the complex and location of this unit, it is tired. We’ve been staying here for 5 years, so we know what we’re talking about. There have been some appliances updates, but it’s time to update the rest!

Great views but very dirty and poorly managed apartment

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Unfortunately, this is the first year at island house after 15 years of going to another complex. We came to celebrate our son’s 1st birthday. Upon arrival, we instantly noticed the dust pile on all the furniture, including in the rooms, and fans. The master bedroom had mold surrounding the air vent and a huge black spot on the ceiling. The rooms also had carpets which contained a plethora of sand. The sliding glass door to access the beach was completely broken. This was a huge hassle for the family. We called maintenance and all they did was put WD-40 which lasted a few open and closing of the door. After the first night, we all woke up with runny noses. The inside of the window in the master bedroom was completely cracked and raised concerns for safety. WIm de We will not be returning as we did not enjoy our stay. For the price of the unit, this is NOT worth it. We tried to advise the property manager upon check out but was advised they were not there. We are also sending the property manager the pictures of the condition of the unit. Kindly forward this to the unit owners and make them aware of these conditions.

Reviewer Comments: We always make the best of our stay. We have been going to 1s for the last 10 years. We love Siesta key. But the unit is a real dump, so many things wrong and the owner does not care to up grade! Electric outlets in master do not work, floor slopes. Tiles need to replaced. Wallpaper in bath is peeling off toilet not flushing right, mold on ceiling. Fan in twin bedroom needs to be fixed. Only good thing is the location.

Island House a Family Favorite for 40 Years!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family has been staying at Island House since the 70's and we absolutely love it. The units vary in upkeep, but typically we have no major issues. 1S is a great unit with awesome views and beach access. It is in need of remodeling, but heard that is already scheduled. The unit is a little different as one bedroom doesn't have an adjoing bathroomm, but no huge issue.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location of this apartment couldn't be better! We love Siesta Key and being able to have such a wonderful view and proximity to the beach, is definitely priceless!I didn't have any problem with Property Management. I just asked a few questions and they responded right away. Now, the apartment needs major renovation! The back doors wouldn't lock, the blinds were not in good shape, some outlets were not working, bulbs needed to be changed, etc. The carpet in the rooms were not my favorite.Overall, the experience was great because we had a blast in our vacation, but I would have definitely preferred to stay on a place a little more updated and better taken care of.
