Best week ever!

We just finished our stay at Holden Aces. The owners have taken care of everything. The home is absolutely beautiful. Layout is perfect and family friendly. Best location on the beach. Can’t wait to come back!

nice place oceanfront!

Oceanfront location and pet friendly. Pool is great and the walkway across the dune is perfect. We enjoyed our stay immensely.

Best of both--oceanfront and pool!

We loved having coffee on the deck overlooking the ocean. Shelling was great on the beach and when the heat was too much, we relaxed in the pool. The ice machine in the kitchen was fantastic. Great communication with the owner.

Wonderful week

My family had a wonderful stay. My husband and I went with our two children (18 and 20), their 2 friends, and my sister and her husband. There was plenty of room for everyone and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed and more. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool and deck area. That is where we spent the majority of our time. We could hear the sound of the ocean waves and there was a nice breeze, even on the lower deck. The upper decks provided a perfect view of the beach. The house was clean, beautiful, and comfortable. We have stayed in a different house each summer for the past several years, and this has been our favorite so far. We would definitely like to go back. Thank you for sharing your home with us this week. We very much enjoyed some relaxing family time.

Another Wonderful Week at Holden!!

My family has been vacationing at Holden annually for over 35 years. We have rented many beautiful homes over the years. This house has become our new favorite. The layout is perfect for our family - my husband and I, our two kids and their spouses and two grandkids - and even has room to grow when the grands are old enough to bring a friend. The amenities are top-notch. Loved the ice maker in the kitchen, multiple crockpots, coffee makers and variety of cookware. Other perks - TVs in every bedroom, reliable WiFi and TV, linens and towels provided, and the porches and pool deck with plenty of seating including swings/chairs by the pool. The communication with the host was outstanding. She was prompt and courteous and very patient with my multiple questions prior to arrival and a couple while we were there. To be clear,- we had no issues at all - just questions about amenities, check in, etc. In summary, we loved this rental and hope to return again every year.

Be aware!

This property was a lovely home to stay in. It was not until the end of our trip that we had issues with the toilet overflowing. We cleaned up the mess immediately. Unfortunately, the water seeped into the downstairs bedroom due to prior water damage from the property. You can see prior water damage from the first-floor bedrooms. We let the owners know immediately. I even offered to send pictures to their devices because you cannot do so via VRBO chat. They declined and stated it would be fine and they would be in town the next day. They immediately denied the claim regarding prior damage and told us we would be fully responsible for paying for the ceiling repair (discoloration, mold treatment, and a plumber). We told them the toilet was working fine, and THEY are the ones who sent a plumber out and pinned that charge on us as well. When we rebuked the charges, the owner accused us of being a jerk, told me my response was unacceptable, and that I was potentially the reason her dog died because she had to deal with the issue of the home. If you have little ones, please be aware that one gate does not latch, and the other does not properly latch. This was inconvenient during our stay due to having little ones with us. I treated this home as I would my own, with the utmost respect. To be called disrespectful by the owner is a slap in the face, all due to not accepting the charges they tried to pin on us. You can even notice the prior damage that has been painted over in the VRBO

We just moved from Las Vegas to myrtle beach. and have had vacation rentals in Utah and Nevada for almost 20 years. We prefer Holden beach over Myrtle beach, so we bought a home in the most beautiful area in the vicinity.

Holden Beach offers small-town charm and unspoiled beauty, which is perhaps why families return year after year to relive old memories and make new ones… like chasing ghost crabs with a flashlight during an evening stroll, or grabbing a bike and pedaling to the far eastern tip of the island to Lockwood Folly Inlet. HOLDEN BEACH'S WILD SIDE Navigate a kayak or paddleboard along the picturesque Intracoastal Waterway, and keep your eyes peeled for dolphin playfully diving at the surface. Or wait for low tide to explore the small pools left behind that are filled with fish and other curious sea creatures. In this wildlife haven, you're sure to find something to delight your whole family. During your visit, have lunch on the deck at one of several restaurants that sit beside the Intracoastal Waterway. Here you can watch shrimp boats cruise by as they make their way to and from the ocean. Or, if you time it right, you can mingle with visitors that come from all over to enjoy the North Carolina Festival by the Sea, a celebration of arts, crafts, and delicious seafood. Holden Beach is the ideal location for a beach adventure

The location is ideal. The ocean is directly in the back yard and the marsh where you can kayak, or crab is the front yard. The walking /exercise trail is directly across the street. We are in walking distance to the pier and a short bike ride or gold cart ride to the center of town. Holden beach is a small island, and you can see sunrises and sunsets from our home. It is very self-contained, so you do not have huge crowds and it is safe and relaxing for all your family and friends.
