This cabin was a perfect location right on the Crooked River which connects to Sebago Lake. There were two docking options for our pontoon boat rental since the cabin is on a private peninsula.The kitchen was perfectly stocked with cooking utensils, pots, pans etc.Thanks for a great stay!

The little beach was overgrown and the outdoor shower was disconnected - disappointing. Otherwise the rest of the property was wonderful. Would stay there again.

Hi Monica, We are very sorry about the beach and the shower. The beach does take a lot of work to keep Sandy and without any weeds. The outdoor shower is completely my fault and I'm exceptionally sorry. The water needs to be turned off during the winter and I had thought that it was reconnected before you came. Had you called I would have been sure to have somebody there right away. While I am so grateful for your patience, I am equally sorry that you didn't get to use it and I fully take responsibility. Your family left our home in lovely shape and I'd be grateful to have you back... Thank you❤️

The Crooked Cottage is lovely! Peaceful without being too far away from everyday necessities! A little bummed the beach has grown up quite a bit since the featured photo, but the kids dug their own spot and still had a blast digging in the sand! We enjoyed fishing, s’mores by the fire pit and some much needed down time! The yard games are awesome and such an added bonus as well as the outside shower 10/10 would recommend! Thank you for sharing your special space with us! (Stayed 7 nights August 2026)

Where to begin: our hosts were very responsive, helpful and kind. Their cottage was exactly as described, was as immaculate as a cottage in the woods could possibly be, and was well supplied with everything we needed. The outdoor property was expansive and felt secluded on the little peninsula in the woods, even though there were other properties nearby. Beautiful dock, outdoor seating, and at night the solar torches they set up provided the perfect ambiance. If we had more time we would have enjoyed sharing the outdoor space with family there along the Crooked River, but instead it served as our quiet little home base while we traveled to visit family in the state. We also would have brought along our tubes and kayak to cruise along the river! Next time!

June visit

Place was great. Plenty of room for our family and a unique spot that spans the peninsula so you can float from side to side. Short trip to Sebago State Park or all the fun in Naples.

Very clean, well equipped and excellent location.

My daughter and I only stayed one night (by plan) but we both agreed we would be back again this summer if available! Very nice.

Fun get away!

Great secluded location, as though you are camping. - Ample towels, kitchen supplies etc. - comfortable bedding The lazy river is probably a 10-15 minute float, which is a good amount of time.

Nice get away spot.

Nice spot on the crooked river. Property is clean and well maintained. The grounds are very tidy with multiple options for outdoor seating areas.

The property and location are fantastic, with river access on both sides of the house. Crooked River is a slower and quieter pace than Sebago Lake, which we enjoyed very much. Proximity to Sebago Lake State Park is also a plus. Be aware that the 3rd "bedroom" actually contains a sofabed and washer/dryer, and access to the only full bathroom is quite difficult unless in sofa position.

Quiet and peaceful holiday.

We enjoyed the country location on the Crooked River. The river was quite low and we did ot try to swim there. We loved the rustic interior and decor. It was a perfect size for our family of 4 adults.

Hidden Treasure near Sebsgo Lake

Highly recommend this property! Great place to rent. Few houses in area have AC, so that was a great amenity as our family’s first day was quite warm, The place is clean and well kept. Loved the yard! 2 docks on Crooked River, and fishing was good as well. We plan on coming back soon!

Crooked Cottage is adorable and rustic. The home was clean, with most of the necessities. i loved having a washer/dryer and a grill. No AC in the upstairs bedrooms but we ended up with cool July weather so it wasn't missed. Easy shopping nearby. The property is great, plenty of space and alot of river frontage. We enjoyed our week in Maine.

Lovely

Angie and Clayton were very responsive before, during, and post stay. The addition upstairs is absolutely charming. The cottage was clean and well equipped. Loved the badminton court! Very peaceful retreat. Definitely would recommend.

Girls Weekend Getaway

This spot was the perfect location for a quiet, kid free girls weekend. The property is absolutely beautiful and has easy access to the water for some swimming or fishing. The camp itself was cozy but also spacious enough. We had 5 adults and we had plenty of space for activities, plus we all had our own bed! All in all we had an amazing weekend and made great memories that we will never forget.

The best of everything!

This is a great property! It is private and quiet yet you can be in downtown Naples in a few minutes. Very clean with lots of natural light. Plenty of room inside when it is raining but also lots of space outside when it is nice out…and the river passes on both sides of the property because it is on a bit of a peninsula! Also, some older reviews mentioned issues with high mineral content in the water…the house has a filter now and no issues at all with my sensitive skin!

Relaxing get away

Great quiet spot to kickback and relax. Perfect for what we were looking for. River access to the lake (about 50 min in the kayak) but the lake is a driving distance away, which is the only drawback having to load up little kids. The beds were a little firm is my only complaint. We had a blast and the kids lived in the river. Thanks for wonderful memories!

We had such a wonderful time it's hard where to start.We traveled here with our 2 granddaughters and 2 of their friends. They all had a great time tubing and fishing and swimming in the river and in the lake. We brought our bass boat and used the boat ramp at the park to launch it.( free for military btw).The kids played board games and cards every night and made smores by the fire. A very peaceful location for sure. We saw deer here, a very friendly chipmunk, and cool turtles too.We were sad it was time to head back to reality

River adventure!

We had the most magical time at the crooked river cottage. We dropped our boat in the Sebago Lake park boat launch and drove it down the river to the cottage and left it on the dock. It was about a 20 minute ride down the river and the kids loved it. The next day we took the boat to the sand bar at sebago and to captain jacks for lunch. The cottage was clean, sweet, and so much fun. We can’t wait to plan our next visit!
