Excellent spot! Clean, great layout, fully functional kitchen, and perfect location being close to beach and town. A rental done the way it should be. Plenty of books, games, homey feel and a good information binder too. I have rented properties for years in Manzanita and this one is at the top of my list! Thank you.?

Valentine House Fall Getaway

It is spacious and has a great layout. Location is close to the beach and wbout 3 blocks to Laneda with its shops and restaurants. Another great stay.

One thing I really appreciated was how clean it was -- so many rentals have crumbs in the couches, hair in the corner, etc., but not this place. We will return again and again!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The duplex was absolutely pristine and more spacious than I anticipated. The rooms were a great size. they kitchen was well equipped. The proximity to the beach couldn't be beat and we got lucky with some amazing fall sunshine.If I could change just one thing, it would be the beds. They were too firm for our liking but that is just personal preference.

I like the house but not the barking dog. Because of that I will not probably stay there again.

We’re very sorry about the barking dog across the street and completely understand how frustrating it must have been to have that noise continue for much of the day. We would like to note that Manzanita is a popular vacation destination, and many of the homes in the area are vacation homes. Because of that, it is very possible that the dog you encountered was also visiting the area with vacationing guests rather than being a permanent neighborhood resident. This is actually the first complaint we have received about a barking dog at this home, so we were sorry to hear that it affected your stay. We truly appreciate you letting us know about your experience and are happy to hear that, aside from the barking, you enjoyed the home and the beautiful area. We hope you might consider staying with us again in the future.

Clean, spacious, modern, and very comfy! Minor glitch on check in when vrbo sent us to wrong house! Sunset responded immediately to phone call and quickly directed us to the correct home. 2 blocks to beach in quiet neighborhood. Easy walk to main avenue in manzanita. Checked all our boxes!

A Little Slice of Heaven!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed at Valentine's House for two nights and were so pleased at how beautifully maintained it was. Very clean, spacious, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a fun weekend getaway. Location was excellent as it was a block from beach access, and about three short blocks from Laneda Ave, which is the main street going through town. Sunset to Sunset Vacation Rentals was top-notch and easy to work with. We would 100% stay here again. I also want to mention there was a recent review complaining about noise from a dog across the street. I think it must have been the timing with fellow weekend renters because it was not an issue for us at all. I was sleeping on the sofa bed in the front of the house and definitely would have heard any barking. Recommendations for El Trio Loco for delicious food and margaritas, Steeplejack Brewing for Waffle Sweet Potato Fries and Brussel Sprouts, and Manzanita Grocery and Deli for delicious chowder to go.

Great location

We really enjoyed this property. It was a great location. Easy walk to the beach and the little restaurants. Perfect if you have kids because when they get sick of the beach you can go take a break, and then easily go back out when they have recharged!

A Delightful Month on the Coast

Great stay!

We enjoyed our stay at the Valentines house. House was clean and had everything we needed for the weekend. You can see the ocean from the house and it was a quick less than 5 minutes walk to the beach. The communication with the property manager was also great. We didn’t need any help but knew how to reach out if we did. Overall, great stay and look forward to visiting again.

Manzanita get away

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Valentine's House is in a great location. Only 4 blocks from Laneda,the main drag. We had sun on Friday! You can see the ocean waves from the balcony. It was very relaxing sitting in the sun listening to the ocean Friday afternoon. Everything was very clean and in working condition. I had to call the office twice during our stay and they came by quickly to help. They showed us how to open the lock and the trick to locking the back door. The house is set up nicely. The only suggestion is that they might want to get a new coffee maker.

We loved the couches being updated and would recommend additional updates to a couple of things. A gas fireplace would be much more enjoyable and less messy. New carpeting or at least a thorough deep cleaning of the carpet. In addition a bidet on one of the toilets would be nice.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: "Valentine" is a lovely home, with plenty of space. This kitchen is well equipped, even with a muffin tin, which we used for ice cubes. This is one of the better equipped properties at which we have stayed, w/plenty of paper supplies, towels, plastics, laundry and dish soap. The walk into the village and to the beach is easy and flat. "Fresh Market" is a short drive for groceries. The restaurants downtown are busy but tasty. We enjoyed our stay here.

Relaxing Manzanita Getaway

Only a block to the beach and about 3 blocks to the main street with its shops and restaurants. Appreciated that there was adequate room in the kitchen cupboards to store our groceries. Enjoyed the deck sitting in the sun and watching the waves in the distance. Friendly and professional property managers. Thank you for the welcoming package on the kitchen counter.

We were eating breakfast at the dining table and were joined by alot of ants! Very upsetting!
