Hi there! I'm Vera, originally from Chicago, Illinois. These days, I’m enjoying a slower, more grounded pace of life after many years working as a nurse. I love spending time outdoors and gardening in my backyard. Hosting has become a new passion of mine. It's a way to meet interesting people from all walks of life and create a welcoming space for others to relax and recharge.
A few years back, I found myself in a season of deep caregiving. My mother was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer, and at the same time, I was raising my young children. I had to step away from work to focus on caring for both parents and kids full-time. It was one of the most challenging periods of my life, but also one of the most meaningful. I learned how important it is to have a calm, comforting environment, whether you're healing, growing, or just trying to make it through the day.
That experience helped shape how I approach hosting now. I want guests to feel truly cared for, to have a place that feels like a breath of fresh air, and to know they’re welcome just as they are.

One of the things I love most about this neighborhood is its peaceful and welcoming atmosphere. It’s quiet and safe, perfect for morning or evening walks. And while it feels tucked away, you’re not far from anything you might need: shops, grocery stores, coffee spots, and a few great local restaurants are just a short drive away. So you get the best of both worlds: a restful, quiet place to stay, with all the essentials and conveniences just minutes down the road.
