Our host was the most helpful and kind host. Full of suggestions and useful advice about so many things! The home was very clean, roomy, comfortable. The kitchen had most essentials but no hand towel or dish rags. If in Quepos I highly recommend this home and would stay there again!

Heather is a 5-star host! She provided excellent communication and invaluable advice for our Manuel Antonio visit. The place itself was clean and stayed nice and cool with strong A/C. The location is great - about 15 minutes from the park entrance. Pros: Great host, clean, powerful A/C, and dedicated parking (though a 4x4 is definitely required to reach it!). Cons: The kitchen could use some refreshing as it’s a bit more worn than the photos suggest. Also, just a heads-up that shampoo isn't included (which was correctly noted in the listing, but good to remember to pack!). Overall, a great base for exploring the area!

Feb Trip

This two bedroom unit is basically brand new. Beds were very comfortable. AC worked like a champ in both bedrooms and living area.This is minutes to the beach and very close to all the restaurants. The outside shower is a great touch for getting off the beach before going in. Great Value and I will stay there again.

Good value

We enjoyed our 10-day stay at Heather's place. The house felt spacious and is well situated just off the main road between Quepos and Manuel Antonio. If you rent a car it would be best to have an SUV or 4-wheel drive as the house is at the top of a steep hill. Local buses are reliably available at the bottom of the hill. The main road is busy and not safely walkable but you can catch a bus and hike into the more secluded beaches. (Bring your own beach towels). We are strong hikers but the walking distances provided on the site are inaccurate. For example, Playa Manuel Antonio and the park are about a 10-15 minute drive or bus away. You cannot walk there. We appreciated the kitchen which was well stocked with dishes, utensils, etc. Beds were comfortable but quite squeaky! Showers- indoor and outdoor and the air conditioning were great. If you are bothered by traffic noise, ear plugs would be helpful. If you end up in the downstairs suite, you can also clearly hear the footsteps, chairs scraping and water usage of the guests above. Heather was wonderful with good suggestions and communication.

I appreciate your kind words about my communication and suggestions! To clarify, while some guests enjoy hiking in the area, I never recommend walking to Manuel Antonio Beach or the national park due to the busy road. That’s why I always mention the frequent local buses, which run every few minutes and make getting around easy and affordable. As for the driveway, while it is steep, many guests manage with a regular car, though a 4x4 can make the drive more comfortable. I also appreciate your feedback about the beds and noise—I’ll certainly look into possible improvements. Thanks again for staying, and I hope to host you again in the future! Best, Heather
