AMAZING STAY!!!

Our stay was wonderful! The best part of our stay was the guest service manager. She was really kind and welcoming and made us feel like home. The entire home was very clean and everything we needed was provided. I would stay again!

Also, the bathroom attached to the bedroom with twin beds needs a sprucing up .

We are glad you enjoyed your stay! Thank you for the five stars. The owner has already ordered a new rug. She was not aware of anything that needed sprucing up in the guest bath, but she will investigate.

Beautiful Island

Beautiful beaches, relaxing atmosphere, great accommodations. Brett was great to deal with. Anything that we needed, he was able to find, or point us in the right direction.

Christmas vacation

We had a great time in the condo with the Caribbean 100 yards away and the Atlantic Ocean side a 1000 yard the other way. The accommodations were very nice and clean. We had the assistance we needed from the host. Most of our time was spent exploring the island and the beaches but the time we did spend at the property was great. The island is less developed than other islands we have been to. It is lacking in nice restaurants and grocery stores but the isolated beaches and water were amazing. We ended up make most of our meals back at the condo. We did make a trip to Harbor island one day and enjoyed the nicer restaurants and the Pink Sand Beach.

5 - Excellent

We had the best time at Buttonwood Reserve. Access to and views of the Atlantic and Caribbean oceans were highlights. Great pool and many toys. We lost water one night due to a storm, and the grills and paddle boards are in need of repair (Staff notified; kayaks were awesome!) but minor inconveniences for the privacy, gorgeous location, and respite the place provides. Brett was very accommodating and responsive when in need. If departing from North Eleuthera Airport, arrive 2-3 hours early from the original time, not the delayed time. We followed the one hour recommendation in book and almost missed flight. May need to update book. Highly recommended Buttonwood. The place is magical!

There is something special about waking up and being about to see the Caribbean & Atlantic Ocean. The build quality of the condo is well done. The furnishings in the unit & on the porch are of high quality. The selected decor & amenities give the place a home feel without being cluttered. All linens are name brand & comfortable. The large book & DVD collection is fun. The grounds are inviting & feel very safe.

Enjoyable stay

Each bedroom had a reading nook in the windows which was a definite winner for our readers. Two patios (one on either side of the unit) allowed for enjoyable morning coffee overlooking the Atlantic and refreshing drinks in the afternoon overlooking the Caribbean. I did like that each room had its own A/C unit so that we were able to conserve electricity. The unit had a good variety of utensils and cookware which made breakfasts easy.Each unit has a golf cart so we were able to cart down to the Atlantic (and saw the recently finished pickleball court = bring your own paddles). The Atlantic side beach has a good amount of sand and very private. The swimming pool looked great.

Wonderful Stay at Buttonwood

Central location on the island made it great for exploring beaches, settlements and other sites. Golf cart made it easy to enjoy their beautiful private Atlantic beach. Property staff very courteous and helpful. Da Perk was our favorite lunch spot, and Rainbow Inn was good for dinner. Highly recommend.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our group of 30+ rented 7 of 8 condo units at Buttonwood for our daughter's destination wedding. Another couple rented the last condo. They were very nice and we only ran into them a few times. We had a magical week! We rented the main lodge and had several meals catered in as well as hosting the wedding reception there. The condos were very nice and as described. The views could not be beat! When issues came up management was quick to respond and went out of their way to assist us with any requests. We enjoyed the pool which was at the perfect temperature to relax. The pickleball court is awesome and our group had several fun sessions using it. There is a nice shade pergola for those that just want to spectate. Some of the golf carts were in need of some TLC and battery replacement? A few times we ran out of juice at the beach a half mile away. The kayaks may also need some repair, while out on the water a couple of them were taking on water and had to go back to shore. We flew into North ELA which is 45 minutes from the condo. Would not have been a problem but we had to do several trips as family members arrived and departed at different days. Looking back we would have come into Governors Harbor for a bit more $. All in all, we picked a winner in Buttonwood and had a wonderful week with friends and family!

Fun at Buttonwood Reserve

Our family of 26 rented out all the condos at Buttonwood and the main house for our annual family reunion, and it was a fantastic and relaxing week! The condos are lovely and the location with access to two beaches is spectacular. The pool was so great and a fun meeting spot for our family. Our condo was clean and comfortable with everything you’d need for a great stay. The on site property manager was quick to action any questions or requests. Before the stay all the info from the rental company was super helpful. We hired Shauna from their recommended list for dinner catering in the main house and she was fantastic and the food was all delicious, and we spent fun evenings all together. We especially loved the beaches and swimming in the warm water, and driving over to the Atlantic beach side in the golf carts was extra fun. The only challenge was the noseeums, the tiny bite-y bugs that show up mostly around dusk, they seriously ate some of us. Bring bug repellant and wear long pants and shoes with socks in the evening! But that was a minor issue compared to how wonderful, lovely, and fun our week long stay was at Buttonwood! Can’t wait to go back someday!

The Best Views Ever!

Reviewer Comments: Our chosen rental had the best of both worlds for visitors to Eleuthera, you have an unobstructed Caribbean view right across the street, and a view of the Atlantic from the rear balcony. You will enjoy sunrises and sunsets both from here! We collected a myriad of shells from the beach directly across the road, and enjoyed a sunset with cocktails on the private dock there as well. The golf cart onsite takes you to the private Atlantic beach, and also available for guests are a heated pool, a boogie board, a paddle board, 4 kayaks, a large cooler, 4 beach chairs and an umbrella. Perfect!

I almost dont want to leave a review because the island is not commercialized and I hope it never gets that way. Buttonwoodn is a lovely property. It is private and quiet. All of the caretakers are so nice and we enjoyed speaking with them daily. The units are well maintained and pretty decor. The views of both sides are incredible from the upper unit balconies. Check in/out was smooth. Anything we needed or asked for was taken care of promptly. Great experience with both Buttonwood and the island itself. We are planning to be back in the spring!

Home away from home

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our first time in Eleuthera and the Bahamas. My wife turned 40, and we wanted to spend some quality time together. We were so glad we chose to stay in Buttonwood. The property is well-kept, the staff on site are friendly and helpful, and the apartment was sparkling clean. We loved 2D as well as you can see the Carribean side and the Atlantic side. We would watch the sunrise while we have breakfasts and watch the sunset at dinner time. There is a grocery store a few minutes away, but we would recommend going into Governor's Harbour to get your grocery. If you are a wine drinker, there is a nice wine store there too.The reason we chose this property is because we wanted to get away from the crowds. Having a private beach on both sides was great. We would take walks along the beach on the Atlantic side and there will be no one around. All in all, we enjoyed our stay, and would definitely stay here again. Do make sure you bring mosquito repellent as the noseeums bites were crazy.
