Shore Ting was amazing! We loved having the open air screens and listening to the waves crash in the evening. Hidden beach below was fun to explore and sunrises were beautiful. Mark was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. We would definitely stay here again.

We love ShoreTing. The house is clean, cozy, and has amazing views of the ocean. The secluded beach is relaxing and perfect for coffee and breakfast. At low tide you can explore more of the beach and walk to the nearby caves. Finally, Mark is responsive and makes check in and check out easy and he is accommodating to his guests. There are books and games in the house which we had fun reading and playing. Also, it is in a great location close to surfer's beach and Gregory Town.

We enjoyed every thing about this place. It's the perfect place to get away. Mark was very responsive and he even help me get out of a pinch while we were there. Use caution when driving to the cliffs!! Thank you Mark!

Exceptional

A stunning property with everything you need for a wonderful stay. It’s comfortable, unique and allowed for a truly unplugged four days for my husband and I. Fast internet allowed for a few seamless work calls. Highly recommend and we’ll be back!

Secluded retreat

Shorething provided us with the isolation and relaxation we came to Eleuthera for. With its secluded beach and quaint apartment overlooking the ocean we were in need of nothing more. Our groceries were sufficient for breakfast and we explored nearby restaurants for dinners snd sunsets. Thank you as this is one of our favorite properties.

It’s a wonderful off grid experience!

The owners are very up front and honest about what it is and what it isn’t. It is a wonderful off grid experience. You are in the “woods” there are spiders and lizards, there are also some pretty spectacular views off the cliffs. Centrally located on the island easy to get north or south. We were very happy with the location and the property. A great get away for adults!

LOCATION LOCATION !

This is the must stay location if unique lodging, rocky cliffs, private beach, amazing sunrises, and just the most scenic Bahamas beach experience is what you seek. Mid Central Eleuthera location makes travel to south or north ideal. Make sure you have an SUV (no mini car rentals) as road to unit is a rocky narrow alley through bushes that will scratch your car(rental guy freaked) All in all great place to stay.

3rd year at ShoreTing

Mark's place has the best views and best little beach you can ask for. We have our coffee every morning on the private beach. Also, no need to worry about the power going out. Last year in a hurricane we still had power. Easy to get to Gregory town and ELH airport from this location. Local caretaker responds to texts if anything is needed.

Beautiful, Exotic and Fun

This was exactly what we were hoping for and what our souls needed! You are situated right on the edge of a cliff, and it feels like almost a luxurious camping excursion. It’s private, quiet, clean and charming. Nights are amazing with a bottle of wine, music and stargazing. You are really out there, so you definitely need a rental car if you want to go to the calmer Caribbean beaches to swim. Mark was quick to respond to any inquiry and the locals literally blew us away with their kindness. I absolutely recommend rainbow beach and taking a couple days to get ferried over to harbor island. It’s off season right now so my girlfriend and I felt like the entire pink sand beach was our personal beach. All in all, very very happy spending a little more to have a place that feels incredibly comfortable after a day out in the sun. 5 stars

Unique spot!

My husband and I absolutely loved our stay. We felt remote, but had easy access to everything! The location can't be beat, at night you can see about a billion stars, and in the morning you wake up to the sound of lapping waves from the ocean. The king bed was comfortable, and the other hang out space was perfect for our evenings. We ate breakfast every morning outside on our own little porch. I cannot recommend this place enough if you are looking for a unique place, with a little seclusion. The private beach was also beautiful, although we weren't able to swim in it during high tide, but it was nice to have steps away to hang out on. This place is about 5 minutes drive from Gregory town, and about 10 minutes drive to either Gaulding Cay Beach or Surfers beach. We picked up food at the local 7-11 to cook ourselves breakfast and lunch during our stay (and used the cooler that was provided for our day trips). The last 1/2 mile of the drive to the home is dirt path so I recommend getting a higher car than a regular 4 door sedan (which will also be good for exploring other beaches on the island). Again, loved our stay and highly recommend!!

A real gem

I can not say how wonderful this place is. Magical almost. As with most homes at the beach it must take all the ocean throws at it. She needs a facelift and the cushions in particular are a little worse for wear. The bed pillows need to be replaced as well. But he mattress is comfortable and the bedding is nice. It's the location and the way this home is situated that makes it so magnificent. The private beach below the bungalow is wild, beautiful and mesmerizing. The pounding surf is simply amazing to listen to and it never stops entertaining you. The thought of so many things when they designed this place and it makes your stay wonderful. A bigger fridge and kitchen sink would be nice. The sink in particular is a bit of a challenge as the plates and most of the cookware is larger in diameter than the sink...which is not a kitchen or even a bathroom sink but rather a small bar sink. That was the biggest drawback and it isn't a deal breaker. We were so inspired by this home that we are going to recreate it on a piece of creekside property we own back home in Austin.

Perfect getaway

I can't recommend this place enough. If you are looking for a peaceful, secluded stay this is the perfect spot. I fell asleep to the sound of waves crashing each night and loved how in touch with nature this place is. Mark was an excellent communicator and provided so much information on the property and Eleuthera in general. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

ShoreTing

Great location if you want to be close to Surfer's Beach and Gaulding Cay. Mark is very responsive and transparent regarding the unique nature of the property. Highly recommend renting a car from Robert, he met us at the airport and was very accommodating.

Special place

This is a very unique property. Very quiet; well-designed exterior and interior. Great example of sustainable architecture. Amazing star-gazing. We could see the entire Milky Way. Helps to have some experience with camping or sailing to manage the panels. Not complicated though. Would love to go back.

perfect getaway

The house is a perfect getaway for 2 people; short drive from Gregory Town and right on the ocean. We had our coffee down on the little beach every morning. On our second day the propane tank ran out and so we didn't have any hot water, which was inconvenient, but the property manager came over the next morning and sorted it out. We enjoyed our stay and would love to come again.

A Wonderful Getaway Location!

I wanted a casual low-key place for my wife and I to get away to and this was a perfect place. The pics are exactly as the place is! We love the design, the access to the beach just 20 feet away and being close to things to do. I would travel back to Sure Ting in a heartbeat! Mark, the owner, is so easy to deal with and very helpful!

Decompress, detach and unplug; unparalleled beauty!

No better place for a couple to get away and recharge. A beautiful home on a cliff overlooking the ocean and a private beach. Coffee in the morning, wine in the evening - reading, games, crossword puzzles and naps in between. Perfect!

Amazing time and space

What an amazing property. We really couldn’t have asked for much better. The surroundings both day and night were amazing to take in. The island itself was extremely friendly. Some great little places to eat. The house was the perfect size and had everything we needed. The design is so smart and simple with an amazing ability to bring the outside in when the flaps are up. The beach below is a small piece of solitude. So easy to let the day pass from one to the next.

Private Retreat

We enjoy our time on Eleuthera. ShoreTing was as wonderful as the pictures. It offers privacy and quiet reflection. The waves on secret beach were crashing full force most days but we did get time to enjoy it also. We hope to return again one day soon!
