Perfect Getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved our stay here. The groundskeepers keep the place looking amazing. Sargass was bad but they had it cleaned up every morning by the time you have your coffee done. Akumal has become a little more touristy but is still beautiful as always

All you need… We enjoyed our stay! Spacious, clean. Airconditioning and fans. The best terrace/balcony with sea wind. Because the appartment is in the north part of the bay, there was less sargassum than in the South part. Bed in second bedroom quite small, and no window curtains.

Half Moon Bay is a little piece of paradise and the condo is on the most beautiful side of the bay. The condo has amazing views and very easy access to amazing snorkeling. The condo had all the amenities we needed and was very comfortable and welcoming.

Spacious suite in a great lication with all the requisite comforts and an amazing view. Management was very responsive to all queries. Great value for money.

Everything was very easy and convenient. The unit and its decore were lovely. Very well equipped. Location was perfect.

Akumal Beach

This place is amazing. Every detail is perfect. Location is amazing. Make sure you rent bikes and you can go into Akumal Pueblo and explore- it’s an amazing little town with incredible food. Waking up to the beach every morning was magical.

We fell asleep listening to the waves and woke up to enjoy our morning coffee on the patio. Responsive and helpful staff. We'll definitely return.

Fantastic condo!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a week here, and we were above the sargasso that can be so diffficult at this time of the year, but the stay was good. The north end of Half Moon Bay is pretty free, allowing for snorkeling, swimming, paddling about, with little or no problems.We have stayed here before, and will again in is a lovely well appointed unit, good cookware, beautiful art objects everywhhere, very well kept. Love it.And the view is very nice,especially late evening when the lights come on from the LOWW story houses at the south end of the bay.Thankfully there are no highrise buildings on this bay. It's just beautiful here.There are also 2 restaurants close by, one for unique breakfasts, and one open for dinners/drinks.

Family of 4 Vacation

The property is beautifully decorated and provides ample space for a family of 4. It has a very well equipped kitchen and extra sheets and towels. The location is great. It’s easy to walk to restaurants and just a short drive to a variety of activities. The beach is a bit rough due to the rock and coral, but, once you’re out in the water, the snorkeling is amazing. The only surprise for me was that you basically share the deck with the other rental. There are two small plants separating the two rentals which was a bit uncomfortable when both families were outside. It would have been nice if they had put up a screen or found another way to create privacy between the two rentals. Besides that, I would highly recommend this rental!

The view from the deck was very beautiful. We much enjoyed sitting out in the mornings and evenings, watching the water through the palm trees blowing with the breezes. Midday was pretty sunny and warm, but lounging on the chairs down on the beach was quite refreshing. And the northern location helped keep most of the sargasso away; it was still there, but nothing like what we saw further south. The place itself was just a little worn around the edges, but perfect for our needs: a/c and fans in the bedrooms were very helpful at night, comfortable couch for resting, functional refrigerator/freezer, coffee-maker, microwave, etc.The shower space was a bit small, which was fine for us but might have been a bit awkward if anyone else was staying with us. And as another guest mentioned, the deck *is* shared with the unit next door, with just a couple mid-height plants dividing the space (not entirely clear in the photos/description). This ended up to not be a problem for us, just something to be aware of.All-in-all, we had a wonderfully enjoyable and relaxing stay.

Beautiful rental, wonderful view

Reviewer Comments: This is one of the nicest rentals we have had along Half Moon Bay, and we have stayed at many over many years.The bay is beautiful, no matter the weather. And it is easy to walk around the small neighborhood leading to Yalku cenote. The street is kept quite clean of all debris, mostly tree leaves,etc, and it is easy walking.The overall experience was as pleasant as always, what we have come to expect from Akumal Direct, and I am sure we will rent again in future,We had no direct contact with the management, either at checkin, or checkkout, so that I cannot attest to, however Marcia responded well to my emails, and the staff were fine (we speak Spanish, which helps).Overall, Akumal is still one of the best, most secure places to stay on the whole coastline, in my opinion, and we will continue to come.
