This cabin is absolutely George-ous. Dedicated to a patriarch who understood that wonderful memories are the foundation of a great life. George welcomed everyone and so do we. Relaxing stay

Cabin was clean an neat. View was nice and the surroundings were quiet. Exactly what were were looking for. 2 things that would have made it 5 stars. The recliner/love seat is the only seating in the “living room” which is fine but it's falling apart and doesn't work great. The only other thing the cabin needs are some large mixing bowls. We made guacamole and had to make it in a pot because there wasn't a single mixing bowl in the cabin. Neither of these things were deal breakers for us, we will be back.

Cute Couples Cabin

[We] thoroughly enjoyed this cabin, its location and view. We have stayed in the Lydia Lodge owned cabins before and I think we just got spoiled the first time around. It appeared as though previous renters had left items like coffee, seasonings, toiletries behind to help the next renter(s) out. This cabin was not as well stocked; even lacking things like a wine key to open a wine bottle. The hot water smelled of rotten eggs the entire weekend. The mattress was also just terrible. As other cabins have fire pits with chairs, this cabin does not. I would suggest that be added considering the indoor space is limited for two people. Overall, a quaint little spot for a quick weekend getaway, just come overly prepared with anything you could possible need.

My husband and I kept walking in and it smelled like natural gas which was concerning. Other than that, the place was in a great location with a great view.

Cozy and comfortable

We enjoyed our time at this little cabin so much. We had a lot of space for our dog to run. Perfect place for kite flying! We liked the railed covered deck because our dog didn't have access to a way out. We spent much of our time admiring the view from the hot tub and rocking chairs. This cabin was clean, perfect for two and cozy! The night sky was beautiful. Highly recommend.

Our Perfect Fall Getaway

This is our 5th time staying at Gorgeous Grandview. The views are amazing, the cabin is cozy and the perfect size for 2 people, and the new addition of WiFi is great. We will be back next fall!

Condition

Back door sticks pretty bad. The recliner was difficult to close without getting on your knees on the floor and pulling the footrest hard to one side while holding the lever open. Two wires in the fireplace were twisted together and left bare. I put a piece of electrical tape on both wires but, really should have a wire nut on both wires for safety. Would love to see the fire pit area modernized. Have stayed at George-ous Gradview before and probably would again.

The view was absolutely beautiful!! The hospitality of the residents of nearby towns were knowledgeable and welcoming. We're planning another visit in the fall!!

New Years Stay

The hot tub had stained ring around it inside, would have liked to been notified about that. Everything was dusty inside the cabin especially the fire mantle and the cobwebs on the ceiling. The mattress is very hard and uncomfortable, Besides that the view and cabin are beautiful.

Property was clean, great location,

We will be coming next year. Only thing they need to be careful about is, I had Wine not package, there was a bottle of wine, but no wine glass. I give them a call twice, no one answered. It wasn’t big deal for me because me and my guests don’t drink alcohol, I had it for swag. Everything else was great.

I recommend directions on how to use the gas fire place. First night all we could do is smell gas. Went to front desk and female working Saturday morning acted like we were bugging her. Invest in a real mattress. Most uncomfortable bed I have slept in to date. Great location to stay.

The location was perfect, offering scenic views that truly made the experience special. The cabin itself was nice, but unfortunately, there were a few issues that dampened our stay. One of the main attractions, the jacuzzi, did not work. Despite multiple calls to the office staff on our first full day and a visit from maintenance, who claimed to have fixed it, the water never warmed up. Additionally, the satellite dish was not functioning, and we were informed it would take a week for a technician to come out. While we didn’t mind being without TV, we were very disappointed that the jacuzzi was unusable. On top of that, we had to deal with several hornet/wasp nests on the back porch of the cabin. Other than those issues the cabin was comfortable and we enjoyed our trip.

our 35th wedding anniversary

This cabin had so much charm and the view was breathtaking. The only thing I would recommend is to have a small side table between the two rocking chairs. Wanted to set my coffee cup and wine glass on a small table. Also, there was only 1 wine glass in the cabinet. We drove to the restaurant and lodge and was given a glass to take to the cabin.

Spring Break Retreat

Beautiful cabin! The location and the cabin were great. I am a teacher and this spring break my husband and I took to the cabin. Read the entire time and thoroughly enjoyed out peace and quiet. We will be back sometime in the future.

Loved everything!! We loved the quietness. We loved our cabin. We did not like all the trash lying around, while walking through the woods. Its as though people just through their trash bags in the woods instead of taking it to the designated areas . Please see if you can do something about it!

Review of George-ous

This was our first cabin rental anywhere. I am happy we picked Lydia Mountain Cabins, however the furnishings were very old. The lighting was dark and the kitchen table could not be used for meals because the boards were warped. Upon our arrival we discovered a lot of mouse droppings under the kitchen sink so we felt the need to wash all dishes and pans before we used them. The outdoors was enjoyable with the exception of no chairs for the firepit. The clearing was perfect for the pet. We will definitely visit again but have picked out a better cabin that my daughter always rents. Also, drawers should be checked better because we discovered some adult toys. The Arthurs PS. I would love to see Turkey Ridge become a 2 lane highway ! LOL
