My husband and I are both originally from South Carolina, and the beach has always been a special part of our lives. In fact, we met at the beach in South Carolina!

My husband has worked on Amelia Island for more than 20 years in property management and real estate and currently serves as the 2026 President of the Amelia Island Nassau County Association of Realtors. His years on the island have given him an incredible knowledge of the area and its real estate market. We recently purchased a second condo at Amelia Surf & Racquet Club that we are remodeling as another investment property. I began visiting Amelia Island nine years ago and, after teaching art in Duval County, joined my husband on the island in 2020 to help with his real estate business. Today, we live nearby and love everything that comes with island life. We enjoy walking our dog on the beach, playing golf, fishing, spending time outdoors, and dining outside, whether at home or at one of our favorite restaurants in historic downtown Fernandina Beach.

Hosting gives us the opportunity to share a place we truly love with others. I want our guests to feel comfortable, well cared for, and able to make the most of everything Amelia Island has to offer. From the beach and beautiful sunrises to the restaurants, golf, history, and relaxed island atmosphere, we hope you enjoy Amelia as much as we do.

The south end of Amelia Island has a special atmosphere, with lush greenery, old oak trees draped in Spanish moss, beautiful canopy roads, and easy access to the beach, golf, biking, and walking. It is a peaceful part of the island that feels tucked away while still being close to everything Amelia Island has to offer.

We chose Amelia Surf & Racquet Club because it combines that natural beauty with true oceanfront living. The community is directly on the beach and offers two oceanfront pools and tennis courts, while also being conveniently located near The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island and The Golf Club of Amelia Island. We live just one community away, so we know and love this part of the island particularly well.

From the condo, you can wake up to the sunrise over the Atlantic and walk out to the beach or pool in just a couple of minutes. One of the things we love most is that you can actually hear the ocean from the condo. The soothing sound of the waves creates a peaceful atmosphere that makes it easy to relax, recharge, and truly feel like you are on vacation.

It is equally wonderful for guests visiting Amelia Island for a nearby work conference or event. After a busy day, you can return to the peaceful sounds of the ocean, enjoy the beach or pool, and unwind in your own oceanfront retreat.

For us, it offers the best of both worlds: a peaceful oceanfront setting where you can relax and rejuvenate, with the shops, restaurants, and charm of historic downtown Fernandina Beach just a short drive away.

The condo has been fully renovated, including a modern kitchen and bathroom, and the design takes advantage of its higher ceilings to create a bright, open feel. Its location and slightly north-facing orientation provide an expansive, unobstructed 180-degree view of the Atlantic coastline that can be enjoyed from both the living area and bedroom.

One of our favorite features is being able to watch the sunrise over the ocean without even getting out of bed. The bedroom features a Tempur-Pedic adjustable bed positioned to take full advantage of the view. For guests who prefer to sleep in while on vacation, seam-to-seam shades provide excellent light coverage when it is time to rest.

The private oceanfront balcony is another favorite spot. Our high-top POLYWOOD dining set allows you to enjoy the view without the balcony railing getting in the way. It is perfect for coffee and breakfast while watching the sunrise or for dinner and cocktails as the evening sky changes color over the island.

Our kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to prepare meals at home, whether you are making a quick breakfast or settling in for dinner. Coffee lovers have plenty of choices, too, with a Keurig, traditional drip coffee maker, and French press.

With the beach just steps away, ocean views throughout the condo, two oceanfront pools, and thoughtful touches designed for both comfort and convenience, we have created the space to feel like a true Amelia Island retreat for two.
