We had such a wonderful stay in manzanita at hemlock heights, the rental was just what we needed to have a great time on the beach for a few days.

Great manzanita getaway

Very good house for two families of four. We appreciated the two king beds and all four kids loved the bunk room. The house was well equipped and well decorated.

We all loved this spacious clean home. The kitchen was very well equipped. The beds were comfortable. The neighborhood was quiet (even over 4th of July) and friendly. It was not far from the ocean or Main Street. We would definately recommend this home to others.

Great house

Our family stayed here for three nights in November and had a great stay. The beds are super comfortable (our daughter loved the built in bunk beds), the kitchen is well equipped, and there are lots of games and puzzles available. There is lots of natural light on the main floor with a small peek at the ocean (you can hear the waves) and the deck looked great though we didn't use it given the time of year. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect Beach Getaway !!

Absolutely LOVE this house!!! Great floor plan and amenities for families with young kids all the way to teens. Well furnished and stocked. We enjoyed the hot tub and 3 block walk to town and the beach. Our only feedback would be to add a puzzle or two to the game cabinet. We will be back!!

Beautiful, spotless, well stocked home!

The home was perfect for our Thanksgiving getaway! Everything was spotless, modern and comfortable. The kitchen had just about everything we needed to prepare a large feast and the fireplace added cozy comfort. The entire house was so well supplied, including a huge variety of board games and more than enough towels for the bath, kitchen and hot tub. Manzanita Beach Getaway is top notch in their communication and assistance! Thanks for a great stay!

So nice

We loved this home and would love to go back! It was clean and very well kept. The big back deck was nice to sit and listen to the ocean and the squirrels chatter. Only thing we would change is the mattress' in the bunk room. They are not very comfortable, even the teens who can sleep anywhere had a hard time.

House on the hill

The house was nice and clean and very well appointed, but it was 90-100 degress over the 4th and no AC. I don't really expect AC at a beach house on the Oregon coast, but it was very difficult to air the house out in the evenings. The high ceilings trapped the hot air and the ceiling fans did nothing. There is no space around the house to sit outside, other than the sloped gravel driveway or in the carport. The deck faces east into the forest, which is odd, given the ocean is south and the house is on a south facing hill. Also, the deck furniture is low quality fake plastic adirondack chairs that are very uncomfortable. If spending time outside, soaking up the salt air is important to you, this is not the property for you. Lastly, the only other issue was the hot water. It would take forever to get hot water and the water pressure/shower head was so restricted my wife couldn't get enough flow to wash her hair. Other than those specific issues, the property is well appointed and very clean. My wife particulary liked the mattress in the master and my kids said the bunks were very comfortable.

Thank you John for your comments. I think the review is a little unwarranted though. The coast rarely sees temps above 80, air conditioning is not the norm on the coast. I live here and don't have it. We provide plenty of fans. Theres a lot of windows that open and can create a cross breeze when its cool in the morning and evenings. If you are not familiar with doing this, that may be the issue you were having. The spacious deck off the back of the house faces a wooded area and is so peaceful and nice. You can hear the ocean and can enjoy the BBQ and seating outside. The comment about not having a place to sit, baffles me. Its a wonderful deck and has 6 chairs and 3 side tables with a weber bbq. Plenty of room. We had maintenance look at the hot water and all seems to be functioning as it should. It is an on-demand water heater so may take a bit to get warm upstairs. We take pride in our homes and appreciate the comments on how clean and well appointed it was. If ever visiting and in need of more fans or anything at all, please call us. We are available 7 days a week at our office in manzanita and have staff on 24/7. Thank you again for your comments. Surprised as we advertise on many platforms and this is the first comment like this. We hope you come back again in the future. -MBG
