Meets the bare minimum…
My stay started a little rough. The self check in instructions were incorrect, but I was able to text the host and we got it figured out. Note that he was only able to get me to the lock boxes and I had to try the combination on multiple boxes until I found the right one. They also had incorrect instructions on how to lock the apartment door, but I figured it out and let them know. Hopefully they will update the instructions. As for the apartment, it’s a good sized apartment, but it’s furnished with the cheapest furniture one can get at target or walmart. There was dishes and a coffee maker, but no coffee, so off to Walmart I went. The shower has the lowest flow I’ve ever experienced, so give yourself a little extra time to shower. There’s a washing machine and dryer, but no soap. If you plan on laundry, bring some. The apartment complex was not overly noisy, except on Saturday night. Bring ear plugs. Also, it’s not in the safest feeling area, so be aware of your surroundings when parking and walking. There was always parking in the front area, which is good. There’s a homeless shelter two blocks away, so there are some homeless people in the area. There’s nothing to walk to for a quick bite, but CHI was an easy 20 minute walk. Overall, the stay was commensurate with the cost. Low cost, minimal amenities. If I were a woman alone, I wouldn’t stay there, but as a man traveling to the Berkshire annual meeting, the apartment met my needs.
