Beautiful Balcony Views and Central Island Access

This is a perfect location that is peaceful, but near the center of all the larger cities and distant activities. We had the best time and enjoyed the view off the balcony every morning. Very charming island setting for adventures all over the island.

Beautiful Space!

Such an incredible stay! This location is quiet and private but also close to a lot of activities! Kihei to the east and Lahaina to the west, you are in the perfect spot! Absolutely beautiful views! We can't wait to come back!

Beautiful ocean view. Location was good, middle of Maui. No A/C, but not needed with the breeze. Very quiet. Had a very nice time.

We enjoyed our stay!

Amazing sea view from the balcony in a very quiet and well maintained complex. The rental is managed by a very proactive agency. The apartment is very functional with everything we needed for our stay, including beach accessories. We enjoyed our stay!

Overall stay was great! Beautiful location. Only complaint would be that the sheets and blanket on the bed was dirty and had stains. This is something that needs to be replaced!

Great location and comfortable space. If you need beach access direct from the condo, you're out of luck, but overall a great value.Would have liked to have not heard the leaf blower and lawn service during the hours that the pool area was open.

Home away from home

This place is a perfect quiet getaway with an excellent view of the ocean. Condo was very clean and well equipped - kitchen had pots pans, microwave toaster and lots of other amenities. There is a hot tub and pool outside as well. There is a small beach outside where i got to see turtles almost every sunset.

There were bugs in the condo. We dispatched as many as we could catch. This is the sixth time we’ve stayed at Maalaea Banyans and the only time we had a full sized bed. Had I known that, I would’ve chosen a different unit. But the view was gorgeous and we were on Maui, so a successful trip! Mahalo

The bugs mentioned were gnats which the entire island chain was impacted with during April of 2026 due to the unprecedented rain storms. The face that this unit does not have AC and us thus exacerbated by the windows being open and gnats attracted to the lights. The bed in the unit is indeed a queen, not a full.

Very cozy, comfortable condo in a great location!

We loved the location, it was quiet and convenient. Beautiful views and as a bonus turtles come in the early evening to rest on the beach. The condo is well appointed with everything you need. The bed was very comfortable. Great communication from start to finish. Would definitely recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay. When we visit Maui we always stay in Ma'alaea. The view is amazing, we even saw a pod of spinner dolphins from the lanai! Very appreciative that this unit had beach gear to use. The condo has all the dishes and cooking utensils needed. It was overall clean and comfortable. Really grateful for the Keurig machine! We will keep this unit in our favorites list for next time!

Every part of it was A

I love being here! The part that I loved the most was that it was centrally located, walking distance to the harbor and aquarium and you can get to anywhere on the island for about the same time and distances. We literally went everywhere. I loved the ocean view. Super score and not too much tourist in that area so it feels more private. Don't pass this one by because every part of it was A

Well cleaned and well equipped

We love this 1b apartment. It is a not a new building I guess it was built at 90s, the decoration are old which we love the style, there are a lovely guestbook started 1992, some old ocean festival posters, travel books published 2000s when internet doesn't has fast speed, and other interesting books and dvds. Besides, the place is well cleaned and well equipped with kitchen supplies, beach chairs, and yoga mats. A good beach with 5min walk nearby

The only things that I would recommend is the owner should invest in a heat pump to cool off the condo and hide the wire routing to the fan behind the ceiling sheet rock and wall sheet rock.

the condo was full of cockroaches and other bugs. called and got traps did very little. the glass wear is terrible only four drinking glasses but two leaked. a lot of glass wear that is useless. washing machine is unlevel so you can't close the doors. we sat on floor to push it back in place with legs would not move any other way.

Would Rent Again Without Hesitation

First of all, parking was ample and check-in was a breeze. The condo complex is well maintained and the view from our rental was amazing. The unit was clean and actually pretty spacious, with a cozy bedroom and plenty of room to relax in the living room. The small kitchen was just right. One small thing: the washing machine may need updating as it needed a little coaxing to get started. I would definitely rent here again if available next time!
