Beautiful setting, the creek was lovely to sit by. Close to hiking trails. We stayed near the end of October and were able to watch leaves falling like rain. Would absolutely stay again.

The stay was a great getaway for a short trip. The view of the river was relaxing and we were close to some nearby restaurants and hikes. The place was clean and there were plenty of dishes to use for any meals/leftovers. There were chairs near the river to sit and enjoy coffee/food. It was truly a relaxing trip.

Beautiful location along the river with the hot tub. The cabin was minimal yet sufficient. The rotten egg stench from the hot water was unbearable.

This cabin was the perfect retreat for a weekend near Mt. Hood. We loved having the river right outside, especially while relaxing in the hot tub. Bathroom and kitchen were both well stocked. Host was easy to communicate with.

The best girls weekend!! Hot tub and a fire pit along the river! This place was truly amazing! I’m very picky about the beds I’ll sleep on and the pullout couch was one of the best I’ve ever slept on. Such a cute cozy cabin.

Perfect riverside retreat

My husband and I stayed at the property for 2 days and nights to rest and relax. The house is perfect! We enjoyed sitting by the water and listening to the sounds of nature. We used the hot tub both nights and had a gorgeous view of the night sky. It was everything we were looking for and more!

Beautiful

We enjoyed everything the house had to offer. From the close proximity to the mountain. To great food and did I mention the ZigZag River runs right behind the house. Start your fire and enjoy the hot tub and the peaceful sounds of the river flowing. We will definitely be visiting again.

Cramped for when it rains

It rained all during our stay, which gave us little to do besides reading and tv. The property would benefit from an awning or tarp to cover the patio which would have made our stay kinda perfect, despite the rain.

While rainy days can definitely change the pace of a trip, we like to think there’s something special about curling up by the fire with a good book, the river flowing outside, and the rain tapping on the windows — a peaceful way to unwind and slow down. We really appreciate your suggestion about adding an overhang to the patio — that could make a great addition for guests looking to enjoy the outdoors no matter the weather. We’ll absolutely evaluate the feasibility with the owner.

Must say no dryer in description

One must at the cabin is a dryer. You needs to invest in that. We can hand wash clothes and dishes, but a dryer is an absolute must and you have a spot for it.

Overall, we were disappointed with our stay. The highlights were the peaceful back patio, the hot tub, and the beautiful view of the stream. The location was also excellent for accessing the Mt. Hood hiking trails, which was the main reason we chose this property and only reason we stayed.The cabin itself did not meet our expectations. There was a noticeable old cigarette odor when we arrived (allergy issue), and a strong sulfur smell whenever the hot water was running. The bedroom was much smaller than it appeared in the listing photos, with only a few inches of walking space around the bed, making it very difficult to move around comfortably. We were also concerned that one of the windows would not fully close or lock, so we couldn’t secure our belongings in the cabin while we were away. The neighboring cabins were much closer than expected, offering very little privacy, and the structure felt more like a converted shed than a cabin.The biggest disappointment was the value. Although the nightly rate was advertised at about 238 per night, additional host, service, and other fees increased the total to more than 900 for a two-night stay. Given the condition of the property, the security concern, the odors, the limited privacy, and the extremely cramped bedroom, we did not feel the experience justified the price.We appreciated the outdoor setting and convenient location, but based on our experience, we would not stay here again or recommend it at this price point.

Enjoyable trip but misrepresented home.

Pic's and descriptions are technically accurate but rather misleading. The bedroom is so small that one has to crawl across the bed to get in. No room to walk on either side. Hot tub lock code had been changed from what we'd been told. Fortunately they remedied that immediately. Listed as "beach" but all we had was an enbankment that you could clamor down to rocks. Enjoyed our time none the less.
