We booked last minute because our gulf trip got cancelled due to the hurricane. Felt like we got a lucky ticket with this property. Beautiful view, extremely clean (I am a clean freak, book a lot on Vrbo, and I have never seen cleaner floors anywhere else). Check in was easy and communication was consistent and clear. Would give it 10 stars if I could.

Sofas, chairs, throw smelled terrible. Had not been cleaned for a long time. Furniture was worn. Was given only 1 washcloth for 4 day stay. Bedroom closet door was off track, toilet seat was not secured, and bedroom doorway threshold was off. Walls and baseboards needed painting.

Great location, beautiful ocean view

My in laws and my family stayed at the property and loved it. The door needed a deadbolt or extra lock though since my 3 year old was always opening the door and running out. Aside from that everything was perfect!

Amazing!

The condo and location were amazing. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because no one told us the elevator was not working and we were on the 4th floor. My husband had a torn achilles, so I had to carry everything up 4 flights of stairs - luggage, cooler, groceries, etc. The otherwise, the actual condo was fabulous.

Hilton Head Vacation

Property was very nice, the condo was clean, the view and location were spectacular. The elevator was not working, this is a 4th floor unit, there was no mention of this from the renting company and when we questioned it they pointed to the rental contract, said they could offer no money back and they were not responsible for the maintenance and property grounds. They did not care about our inconvenience and offered nothing in return. Not even a small gesture of a gift certificate to a local restaurant Or anything to make us want to deal with this company or one of their properties ever again.

Thank you for your feedback. We're so glad to hear you enjoyed your time in Hilton Head and that you appreciated the condo's cleanliness, view, and location. We're truly sorry for the inconvenience caused by the elevator being out of service. Unfortunately, the elevator's operation is managed by the building and is outside of our control. We understand how frustrating this must have been and regret how it impacted your stay. Your experience matters to us, and we appreciate you taking the time to share it.

Great location

Pro: Great location. True beachfront unit. Very clean. Included bikes and beach chairs/umbrella was a plus. The resort is secured with digital cards etc.The property is well maintained (except, as noted below). The beaches are wonderful. Good quality restaurants are plentiful within walking distance.Con: The elevator in the building was not operational and it has been undergoing renovation for way too long. I realize that the owner is not entirely responsible for this problem. But I had to dock one star from my rating. We were exhausted from spending most of the day on planes and airports and were very disappointed when we found out that we had to lug our luggage to the fourth floor. This certainly did not help my bad shoulder. We would have looked for other options had we known about the elevator issue. Other issues to look into: sluggish drainage from both showers. It is time to retire the mattresses, especially the ones in the 2nd bedroom. We had a great time in spite of above issues.

We also appreciate you mentioning the drainage and mattress concerns—these will be looked into promptly. We're glad you still enjoyed the beachfront location, our amenities, and the island overall. We’d love to welcome you back for an even better stay!

The view of the ocean was absolutely breath-taking. We truly enjoyed our stay at Shorewood. Everything we needed or wanted to do was within walking distance. We will definitely be staying here the next time we visit Hilton Head.
