On the Dune

Had a wonderful week at this property! Loved that it is in the middle of the island so we didn't have to traverse the entire island to get somewhere. Property is well maintained. The views from the patio are amazing - loved sitting out there morning.

Great place

The cottage is a comfortable size for two couples, the two bedrooms with there own bathrooms are identical to each other. The kitchen works well, we made breakfast every morning and cooked a few dinners. The beach was great and super private, the location of the cottage made it easy to explore a lot of the island and other beaches, would definitely stay again.

Wonderful Beachfront Home

This house was perfect. Great ocean views on a huge beach. Good central location a few minutes from Governor’s Harbor. Large kitchen and living spaces. A really charming house with plenty of cooling for hot days. Highly recommend.

The view could not be beat. We loved having a beach that felt completely private, we stayed two weeks and only saw other people once on our beach. Very clean and kind staff. Host was always fast to respond. A very comfortable space. I gave four stars because the on site restaurant was closed every time we tried to go to it, which was three occasions: breakfast (we learned they don’t do breakfast), lunch, and dinner across various days. The other thing was that we learned in Eleuthera sometimes there are island wide power outages, it happened twice and the power came back on within an hour, but there isn’t a generator on the property, so I’d recommend bringing portable chargers just in case. Overall we would absolutely stay here again. It was a good central location on the island, which made exploring both North & South side more convenient. It is a close drive to other restaurants and grocery stores. The stars at night were unbelievable.

House was pretty much as advertised

The house was clean inside and had plenty of dishes and pots and pans to cook and . Bedding was nice and comfortable. The beach would’ve been nice, but it was windy every day and the waves were way too high for the children to play in the water so we had to go to another beach every day in order to get in the water. I’m thinking most likely it was due to hurricane Milton going through Florida while we were there at The Dunes. The stairs going down to the beach need a little attention. There are some boards that are kind of scary and a couple of places and some has overgrown where you have to duck to get down the stairs. But overall, we had a nice stay.

We are glad you enjoyed your stay but so sorry to hear the water was rough. That is not the norm! That beach is protected by a barrier reef and usually has minimal surf, but the hurricane in Florida created some very strong winds. Thank you for the heads up about the stairs. The owner has promised to repair them promptly.

Great walking beach

The beach was great to walk for miles on everyday and never see anyone, the shoreline is covered in garbage. The water was amazing, steps up and down to the beach (51, I think) were easy enough. The property itself seems a little run down. The trail to the empty restaurant was overgrown and they didn't spray for the bugs at all. The pool was dirty most of the time and don't try to get cozy on the lawn chairs, because you wont - or the beds for that matter. The food at the restaurant was nice, service, not so much. It appeared someone didn't like their job. At least we meet up with some really great folks from Switzerland and made our stay great. Miss you two!!! make sure to get a quote from taxi driver before you go, but Dr. Seabreeze was a hoot!

Fully equipped cottage with two identical bedrooms, both with ensuite bathrooms. Air conditioning and flat-screen tv's in every room. Located on a bluff overlooking the ocean (52 steps to beach). Patio facing ocean.

Perfect spot!

Our first time to Eleuthera and we absolutely loved it!! The villa was clean and in a perfect location central to everything on the island. We enjoyed our beach walks in the mornings and the view from the deck was amazing. We will hopefully be returning in the fall.

On the Dune cottage

The cottage has a front porch overlooking North Palmetto beach, one of the loveliest on the island. The stairway down to the beach was right beside our porch. We walked for an hour every morning, and spent many afternoons relaxing under a tree on the beach, or at the lovely, clean pool. The property was well maintained and the cottage was clean. We had excellent maid service

The cottage was clean and the staff was so helpful. The owner was very helpful and brought us a battery operated light when the electricity was out. I would definitely consider staying again because of location and the staff.

Clean and beautiful view

The house was very clean, and the view and beach access out your front door was amazing. Miles of unoccupied beach with super soft sand. Beautiful blue water as far as you could see. quiet surrounding and easy access to the main road.
