JoAnne was very responsive. Place was immaculate. And kitchen was very well stocked as was the bathroom. Would definitely recommend.

Maybe the easiest VRBO I have ever had. PLENTY of supplies of all types already there, great communications, great instructions. Nicely decorated, pristinely clean. The location was great for a Ouray wedding! We used it as a hub to visit Ridgway, Ouray, Telluride and Mountain Village. Then up and over to do the Million Dollar Highway and down to Silverton and Durango.Only interesting oddity was its two BRs up, one bathroom down. So if you're a middle of the night gotta take a break type, you gotta do stairs. But plenty of nightlights!Note: This is an older home, and so outlets are in a bit of short supply, though we got by just fine. And this home continues something I've seen in other VRBOs, dim and/or limited interior lighting. But that's just my taste.

Relaxing

This cabin was very well stocked. We enjoyed the location. It was nice and peaceful. This is a great place to unwind and relax.

So Perfect! The home is was everything we hoped for. It is exactly as pictured. Close to so many fun options of things to do. A fully stocked kitchen if you love to cook. Awesome host. We could not have loved it more!

So beautiful, I didn't want to leave.

What an amazing and cozy place to stay. All the comforts of home were provided. The creek in the back was so relaxing. I am still thinking about this wonderful vacation and look forward to returning again next year.

Very clean and cozy!

Perfectly located, spotless clean and cozy cabin! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and loved sitting outside in the wildflowers, next to the river. Just the perfect little get away and just what we needed. Thank you so much!

Great home base for Ridgeway and Ouray

Adorable little house, EVERYTHING you need in the kitchen, laundry, and bath. Really nice host. We enjoyed both towns and riding bikes on the peaceful farm roads. Very clean.

Creekside cottage

This lovely cottage was perfect for our stay in Ouray. This was one of the cleanest, most well stocked places that we’ve stayed in. We had a mule deer cross the stream right behind the cottage and walked just beyond the yard! The location was perfect for exploring all that Ouray and Ridgeway has to offer.

Cabin between Ouray and Ridgway

We recently stayed at this charming mountain cabin and had an absolutely fantastic experience. The cabin is beautifully situated just outside Ouray and close to Ridgway. It was just a short drive to the dirt bike trailheads. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to prepare meals, including modern appliances and plenty of cookware. The cabin was clean upon arrival, which was greatly appreciated. Cell service and Internet can be spotty. We highly recommend it for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle and immerse themselves in nature.

Picture Perfect Mountain Getaway

This cabin is exactly what a mountain getaway is suppose to feel like. The cabin is very well maintained both inside & out, the inside is comfortable and decorated well and the outside with 4 adirondack Chairs around a fire pit with a stream running by it is exactly what we were looking for to get away from the city and relax. We had a fire one night inside and the fireplace worked perfect, warmed the cabin up nicely on a rainy night and was just relaxing to sit and watch. The other nights we were lucky enough to be able to sit outside and have fires while we listened to the stream running and just enjoy each others company. We had deer come by the path running beside the creek daily and if you just sit quiet they will just hang out. I love this cabin and was already planning our next trip before we even left.

We enjoyed a five night stay at this wonderful creekside cabin. Perfect for just the two of us retirees looking to get out of the summer heat of Phoenix. JoAnne has thought of everything! The kitchen was stocked with so many necessities, as well toiletries, games, books, and information packets about the surrounding area. Nice touch!The cabin is very comfy with a rustic decor. It is nestled by a swift-running stream about a half-mile off of the 550 in a very quiet, rural-like spot. No noise! Joanne checked in on us early the second morning to welcome us and to ask if there was anything that we need. Very thoughtful. This location was perfect for us since we had plans to visit Durango, Silverton, Ouray, and Telluride. So much hiking to do in this area. We really liked the Durango vibe, and our favorite place was Telluride. We highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a complete mountain getaway. There is plenty to do in the area during the day, plus complete privacy when you come back home after a big day exploring. Thank you for a wonderful stay, JoAnne! It was perfect!

Best (of four) places we've stayed in Ouray

We've stayed at four different cabins in Ouray and this was our favorite. The outside sitting area/creek is very relaxing and private; by far the best atmosphere of any place we've ever stayed. The home was very clean and roomy (a whole family could stay here and be very comfortable); it was also the best stocked with supplies of any place we have ever stayed. We traveled with a group and we each took turns hosting a dinner; we had six people over one night and the only thing we supplied was the food... everything else (spices, cookware, place settings, dishwasher detergent, etc) was supplied in the cabin. It's close to Ouray (5-6 miles) and very close to the Ouray KOA campground (about a half mile); if, like us, you have friends staying at the KOA you will find this place VERY convenient. I would definitely stay here again! If you stay when it's hot out and need more than one bedroom you should be aware of the following: We stayed in late July and it was in the 90's during our stay. There was a portable air conditioner downstairs but the house stayed cool enough that we did not need that air conditioner. But, both bedrooms are upstairs and only one had a portable air conditioner; that air conditioner cooled that room very well (we only used the room with the air conditioner and were very comfortable). The other upstairs bedroom got uncomfortably hot during the day and, while opening the windows at night did cool the room, it took some time for it to cool down.

Clean, great location but needs attention.

This cabin is located in a perfect location for access to both Ridgeway and Ouray. It was clean and the beds were decently comfortable. The kitchen was adequately appointed. The owner needs to give the property attention. There were notes staged around the cabin. In the kitchen, not to use the Jenn-Aire grill as it wasn’t working and to push the refrigerator door closed because the seal was not working properly. Also, asking us to dispose “small bits of trash” in town when we went out because they have no trash pick up unless you call the owner to arrange it in advance. They said there was a recycling container available that would be picked up after our stay. There was no such container, but we found a bucket to use. We were told not to open certain windows due to dust from the road. Having paid a cleaning fee, I don’t think it’s unreasonable to open a window, even with dust. The cabin was fairly comfortable on the main level, but the upstairs bedrooms were extremely hot, especially with the request not to open the windows for a cross breeze. There were several small fans that we utilized upstairs to move air, but the fan noise drowned out the beautiful sound of the creek behind the cabin. The front screen door was warped and didn’t close properly allowing flies and wasps indoors. Closing the main door would’ve created a sauna in the cabin as the screen door allowed a slight cross breeze. There was another note at the entry that asked us to remove our shoes upon entry. Not everyone is comfortable in bare feet, and again, we paid a cleaning fee. We would never track in mud etc, but dust perhaps. The living room was decorated nicely but there was only one small LED floor lamp which was not adequate for reading light in the evenings. We unplugged a bedside lamp from upstairs and brought it down which worked fine. Outdoors, there is ample seating with a nice dining table and chairs along with 4 Adirondack chairs. There were 4 square chair cushions for the Adirondack chairs but only 2 cushions for the dining chairs. 2 of the Adirondack chairs where very unstable and needed repair. A beautiful wrought iron gazebo and chairs along with a hammock stand was located over the food bridge by the river. Again, no cushions for the chairs, and no hammock for the hammock stand. How wonderful it would’ve been to lay in a hammock by the stream. We stayed there 4 nights and for the price including fees, I expected more. Over priced, clean but only adequate.

Nice cozy and relaxing place. Super quiet with lots of wildlife.

This property is perfectly placed in between Ridgeway and Oaray and only a short drive to Telluride. The property manager was wonderful too, she made sure we had everything we needed and even mailed us something we accidentally left behind! WONDERFUL PLACE!

Cozy Getaway

We really enjoyed coming back to a cozy bungalow after a hard hike. Good location to access some great hikes and the cool mountain towns of Ouray, Telluride, and Silverton.

Creekside Cottage

The property was so quaint and quiet. The creek was calming and the cottage was very clean and very well decorated. Definitely will stay again. Plus the host was very accommodating.

Cosy Creekside Cabin

This cabin is very welcoming and provides everything you could want or need. The running creek was such a delight. It was exactly what we hoped for and was as depicted when we booked. We spent 5 wonderful days there and wished for more!
