IMPORTANT: The pool and hot tub at Poipu Athletic Club will be renovated Sept 9-Oct 15. Please do not book these dates if the pool and hot tub are important for your vacation.

Welcome to KP 40 at Kiahuna Plantation, a private top-floor corner condo in Building 8, just steps from the beach. Enjoy vaulted ceilings, an open kitchen and dining area, a peaceful garden-view lanai, beach gear, parking, and refreshing Kauai trade winds.

ITEMS TO NOTE:

- The entire Kiahuna Plantation Resort does NOT have elevators. If you have mobility issues, please reach out to us and we will direct you to a suitable property for your needs.

- This property has an AC ductless mini split system with a head in the living room ONLY. Because the condo is less than 700 sq feet, this usually works well to cool the entire condo for most guests but we are adding this note to be transparent to those who may be more sensitive to heat.

- ISLAND LIVING

TROPICAL ENVIRONMENT

Kauaʻi is known as the “Garden Isle” for its lush, tropical landscape—and that beautiful environment is also home to a variety of insects and other island wildlife. Even with regular professional cleaning and pest-control treatments, guests may occasionally encounter geckos, ants, mosquitoes, roaches, or other tropical insects during their stay.

Many classic Hawaiian properties also feature jalousie (louvered) windows, which are designed to allow the trade winds and natural airflow into the home rather than creating the completely sealed environment of a modern hotel or resort.

We take great care in maintaining and cleaning our properties, but the occasional presence of tropical insects is a natural part of island living and is not necessarily an indication of cleanliness or a lack of pest control.

Perfect location and condo located in nice location within the property. It had everything we needed and AC was definitely appreciated. Communication with the host was easy and they were very responsive. Would love to stay there again.

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy plantation-style property in Poipu. The location was perfect—just minutes from Poipu Beach and within easy reach of great restaurants, coffee shops, and local food spots. The property was peaceful, surrounded by lush tropical greenery, and had a charming Hawaiian feel that made it easy to relax after a day of exploring Kauai. It was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped for our stay. If you’re looking for a quiet, convenient home base on Kauai’s South Shore with easy access to beaches and the local food scene, this is an excellent choice. We’d happily stay here again!

Great host, location and stay. The air conditioning was a significant factor in our decision to rent this unit and it worked great!We loved the easy access to Poipu Beach.If it had an ocean view I would give 5 stars.

Our stay at KP40 was a great adventure. We really enjoyed being on the south side of the island because we were always a short walk to a great beach, the turtles at Poipu, or great dining experience, and a short drive to the Nā Pali Coast or to see the sights in Princeton. We enjoyed morning coffee on the balcony with birds signing and other soothing island sounds. If you're looking for a home base to explore Kauai or a nice place to recharge and relax, KP40 is a great place to do both. The house was clean and well maintained, the AC was nice when needed, but since the house is an end unit, most of the time we just opened the side windows and the glass doors.Roz and the team made check in & out super easy. We can't wait to go back.Me ke aloha,John

Memorable Stay

It was a lovely stay in Poipu. This was our first time Kaihuna Resort and the location of the condo is ideal. We rarely used the AC because of the amazing breeze that blew through the unit. Accommodations were great.

We Will Be Back

The property grounds are beautiful with easy walking access to the beaches from your rental. The Planation has beautiful large grassy lawns and one of the areas above the beach where you can sit and watch water activities, walk down and swim and snorkel. Sunsets were phenomenal at that area. In addition, free access to the Poipu Athletic Club, with every type of activities to start the day. Also, late afternoon relaxing at the Pool/Jacuzzi and of course cocktails. Roz was a great host addressing any question day and night

Peaceful paradise

Everything about our stay was great. Communication with the rental manager was terrific, from the time we first booked the rental all the way through our stay. She was very responsive to our questions and concerns, and everything was done to insure that our needs were met.The unit itself is perfect for a couple or small family. The kitchen is so well-equipped that we ended up eating all of our meals in the condo. Rather than going out to eat, we preferred eating on the patio and listening to the birds singing. A/C was a nice plus. Although the unit does not have an ocean view, it is only a 4 minute walk to the beach. Beach towels, chairs, and sand toys were all provided for our use.We love Kiahuna Plantations, and we are happy to recommend this unit.

This condo was clean, spacious for two, and has a wonderful garden view from the lanai. The garden was a nice, relaxing change of scenery after long days at all the nearby beaches. The property managers were incredibly responsive and friendly, and the master bed was very comfortable.Note for groups: The pull-out sofa is large but has a thinner mattress, so it's probably best suited for kids or teens rather than adults for an extended stay.Check-in was a breeze as long as you follow the provided instructions. We’d love to stay again!!
