water front home is located on 100 foot wide canal with your owe 30 feet of free dockage. We are pet friendly. Furnished with 2-queen size beds and a sofa sleeper in the living room to accommodate up to 4 total. We have free WiFi. You have Free access to the Private Cabana Ocean Beach Club just a 5- minute walk from home.(thecabanaclubkeycolonybeach),full bar,grill, hot-tub and music. Our home has a large dock system which is easy in/out of your boat. We have bait freezer next to fish cleaning table on dock. Freshwater hose dockside. Quick access by boat to the ocean (5-minutes)and gulf (15-minutes). Free parking for vehicle and trailer at home. Our home has a fully equipped kitchen and ceramic tiling throughout. Ocean fishing/snorkeling & diving only minutes away. 1-hour drive south of Key Largo and 1-hour north of Key West. 4-restaurants within walking distance from our home. KCB has a 9-hole par-3 golf coarse. Walking, jogging and bike riding paths. Free Pickle ball courts, tennis courts, groomed Bocci ball lanes (4) and shuffleboard(2)equipment at site. free children's play-set. Horse shoe pit on- shoes at site.

Great stay in Key Colony

Overall good experience. Seemed like a typical Key Colony rental. Plenty of space and location is great. Owner was excellent with communication!

Great location and a good central place to explore the Keys

We really enjoyed our trip and would stay again. This duplex is on a quiet street a short walk from a membership club right on the beach with a bar, pool and hot tub. It is the best of both worlds, getting a quiet roomy place to stay then head over to the Cabana Club for some beach time.

Sunshine on the Canal

We very much enjoyed our stay. The dock on the canal was our favorite spot. Watched many sunsets and caught a few small fish! Overall we would stay here again.

Excellent spot in KCB

Curt’s place was just what we needed for family spillover. It was easy to access, had all we needed and my family highly recommends staying.

Great location!

This is a very nice duplex! Lots of wildlife off the dock. We saw snappers, manatees, and even tarpon! We love the location close to a lot of great restaurants and charters! We loved going to the Cabana Club for a little extra R&R between excursions!

GREAT PLACE TO STAY

Loved the view and proximity to the cabana club.. Great large screened in porch...Beds slept well but small. Very dog friendly....Left beach towels we brought for others to use. Great place with great bar. I would definitely stay here again......

Marathon vaca

Beautiful property just as described! The location was very convenient to the club and restaurant. The owner was very responsive to our requests and quickly resolved a minor problem I would highly recommend and hope to return next year!

Great time at Key Colony Beach

Overall recommend this location. It has a large waterfront along with a back yard and patio. The interior has a large kitchen with a bar that is almost 20 ft long! Our family (two teens) enjoyed fishing off the dock. We really enjoyed the Cabana Club, which was a short walk away. They had a hot tub, heated pool, and private access to one of the best beaches in Marathon.

Awesome Stay!!

Overall our stay was very good. Easy access into the house and a quick boat trip out to the Atlantic. The kitchen was equipped well enough. The beds were very comfortable! If I had any suggestions it would be to upgrafe the living room furniture and repair the porch screens. Definitely would stay here again. We had 1 very minor issue and the owner was on it within minutes, with issue resolved!!

Great 2 BR duplex

We enjoyed our stay in this duplex which was very clean and comfy. We especially enjoyed sitting on the screened in porch drinking our coffee and watching the sun rise. The unit is accurately described and we had no problems. Thanks!

Good property on the canal

We stayed in the unit for 2 weeks.The property was clean and the location is perfect. We missed a few things from the kitchen equipment, but it was not a big deal. There was only one thing we didn’t like: we had to share the dock with another unit. This info should be in the description. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

Always a great stay!

This is our sixth stay at Key Colony and we always enjoy our stay! Access to the Cabana Club is great, be sure to get there early! We recommend the Key Colony in for a casual dinner, their Italian food is delicious and prices are the best around. We were only a party of two but this unit could easily accommodate 4+ if you include the pullout sofa. Fish cleaning station, freezer, beach chairs (we left an umbrella!), seats on the canal, manatee visits... Great rental away from the hustle and bustle of Marathon!

Fun Family time get-away!

The house was very clean and ready for the 4 of us to "move" in... and we did. We enjoyed the beachy decor. Our favorite part was being able to simply catch fish from the dock including a 45lb. nurse shark!! It is a quaint community and so many families were gathered on their docks in the evenings to enjoy the water views. We felt very safe leaving our boat tied up to the dock during the evenings and meet many families traveling in the evenings while walking the dogs. Would recommend this location for small families and we look forward to booking again the next time we are in the Keys.

Awesome spot on the water

Had an excellent time here, Curt is great with quick replies and perfect instructions. The view is amazing, and we launched our paddleboards right from the dock and paddled right alongside the manatees! Everything you need is close by, plenty within walking distance, and sometimes it's just enough to fix a margarita and fall asleep under the banana trees and listen to the boats go by! If you are trying to decide between a few places, just pick this one. You won't be disappointed.

Best vacation ever

We drove down from Virginia and towed our boat. We stayed at this property for 2 weeks. Everything was as stated in the listing. The house was clean and neat and the kitchen was well stocked for our needs. We thoroughly enjoyed relaxing on the dock in the evenings and the convenience of having our boat right there. We were in the ocean in 5 minutes. Curt was very responsive to all communication from us and we would definitely stay in this property again. I can’t say enough about how beautiful the KCB area is. We rode bikes to several great local restaurants. Hubby and I both said it was our best vacay ever!! Can’t wait to go back.

OUTSTANDING !

We loved the house and location and can't wait to return. The inlet is a very short boat ride to open ocean. The location is the best side of key Colony because it is quick to the Gas dock and marina. Also not having to go thru vaca cut and the long way around into key colony due to The main highway that splits the streets and canals.obay the speed limits as there is local police and are very strict. The area is so relaxing and easy going the cabana club is alot of fun and the people who work there are very nice. It is a mandatory thing that due to the pandemic masks must be worn at the club. My wife and I are seriously looking to find our forever home there now that we have visited there.we are looking forward to our next visit!

Stayed March 2011

We truly enjoyed our second stay at Curt's home. We had a great trip in 2010, sp we decided to rent his 2 bedroom this year. We have two teen age boys, and although his 1 bedroom was great and it suited our needs, the two bedroom had more room for us. It was so beneficial to have a washer and dryer, too. The home is well stocked and clean. We love to spend time on the dock. The Cabana Club is perfect and always inviting. You feel like you belong there, not as if you are renting or just visiting. We were sad to leave KCB and return to the winter in Minnesota, but we know we will return, and when we do, we will rent from Curt again. Thanks for sharing your home. The Swanson's.

Great stay for the price

We had a great time. The location was great and easy boat access to the Atlantic or gulf side. Be sure to have fenders if you bring your boat and a hair dryer as there wasn't one when we went. The cleaning crew did a poor job cleaning as there was sand and a fingernail in one bed and glitter in the other bed. We washed everything after noticing this. The wireless internet only worked well in the living room corner and didn't work at all in the farthest bedroom. The area is also very dog friendly, so we liked this. Overall had a great stay for the price minus the cleaning and internet issue. Would have given 5 stars if we didn't have any issues.
