We're sorry about the mildew/smoke odors, the first-floor shower leak and bathroom smell, the mattress firmness, and the AC not cooling—those are not the standards we expect. We will review these concerns with our housekeeping and maintenance teams to address cleaning, repair the leak, evaluate HVAC performance, and assess mattress comfort. Thanks Rebekah, glad you enjoyed the location - being right by the beach is always a win. We wish we had heard from you during your stay about the towels and paper towels. We always keep extras stocked in the closets, so they may have just been overlooked. Also not quite sure what you meant about the showers - they’re all draining and functioning properly, and we recently installed brand new shower heads. That said, we’re always open to feedback and looking for ways to improve. Hope to have you back again and maybe earn that fifth star next time.

Hey Tiffany, thanks for the kind words about the home. The location is in a super popular part of Newport and that’s exactly why so many guests book it. You get coveted boardwalk access and you're just steps from the sand in one of the most iconic coastal spots around. It’s a rare find in terms of both access and charm, and people love being in the middle of it all. That said, we do want to clarify for future guests: while the home is near some popular nightlife a few blocks away, the kind of noise you mentioned isn’t a nightly thing. It sounds like you caught a rare pocket of activity from next door. This isn’t a party zone and it’s absolutely possible to have a relaxing stay here. Most guests do. Also just to correct the Wi-Fi info comment: this unit has its own private high-speed router. It’s not shared with any other space nor has it ever been set up that way. We were just there and it’s running great. If we had known you were having issues, we would’ve happily helped in real time. Thanks again for staying with us!
