We have been coming to St John for over 20 years bringing family and friends. This is a great property. Close to the beach and beautiful view. As mentioned, AC is in all the bedrooms. Just be aware it can be warm at times in the main living room and kitchen as you face the sunset (which is amazing). I would definitely stay here again. Hospitality was brilliant from the host. Excellent property.

Amazing stay at On a Clear Day..

Amazing location, far enough from crowds but not too long to Cruz or Coral Bay. House was really immaculate, well taken care of, had all amenities we needed. Property manager very responsive. Hope to return to this house again soon!

Having traveled yearly to St John for over 20 years, I can give this house and location a good recommendation. Francis Bay/Annaberg is one of my favorite areas on St John because it is quieter, the snorkeling is great, easy access to less traversed trails, and good for running on flatter quieter roads. It's 20 min to Cruz Bay and 10 min to Coral Bay. The house is within walking distance of Francis Bay Beach and is suitable for 3 couples--3 suites with king beds and private bathrooms and with balconies and beautiful views (we also had a couple of teenaged boys with us who set up on air mattresses in the workout room). The house has a gorgeous view and is well stocked for cooks and for beach adventuring. The property managers are wonderful and responsive (our AC was not working upon arrival and they came out and fixed it on the spot). The main section of the house is not air conditioned and faces west, so in the late afternoon it can get quite hot - those sensitive to heat--be mindful. However, the bedrooms are well air conditioned for a respite and good sleeping. I would definitely stay here again! Thank you to Terry and Jeremy for promptly addressing all of our needs while there. We had a wonderful time in Paradise!

Family Getao

Very nice. Just as described with excellent view and easy access to Francis Bay. Great access to Cruz Bay or Coral Bay. Generator was very much appreciated with the rolling brown outs. We rented Jeeps and would recommend that other guests considering this location do the same. Would most certainly return to St John and this property.

Luxurious with the best view on the island

Arrival and check-in was easy and flawless. The villa is luxurious and has a well laid out floor plan. Francis Bay Beach (our favorite) is very close. Easy access to Coral Bay and Cruz Bay. We've rented villas on St. John for years, when our children were young. They are now adults with children and they unanimously said this villa was the best. This was the first time we enjoyed the villa so much that we spent much more time at the villa. Excellent choice for 7-8 people who like the beach.

Another MLE (Memorable Life Experience)

We just returned from On A Clear Day and can’t wait to return!! We spent the week between Christmas and New Years with our children and theirs significant others and we all had a fabulous time. The house was so well stocked with all we needed and although the pool was a huge favorite the easy walk to the beach was a home run!! We were blown away by the view every morning and made sure to watch the sunsets every night together!! Terry was so wonderful to work with. Flight delays threatened to derail our first day but with Terry’s help we were able to get to the house and wake up to that amazing view!! Thanks again for a beautiful vacation!!

Perfect

On A Clear Day was everything advertised and more. The home was beautiful and comfortable inside and out and well equipped for cooking dinner and hitting the beach for our family of 5. Our crew made use of the snorkeling gear and the for hours each day. The proximity to Francis Bay and Maho and Cinnamon was very convenient, and it was a quick trip over to Skinny Legs and other restaurants and shopping in Coral Bay, which we love for its slower pace. We accessed trails just a short walk down the drive to Francis Bay and Annaberg School and ruins to a secluded beach. What a treat! Terry was a wonderful host, before and during our stay. We have stayed in more than a dozen short term rentals in the Caribbean, and this one is our favorite.

Family Fun

On A Clear Day is a fantastic, beautiful, one of a kind house. It was perfect for our family of 9. We were able to spend quality time together and have privacy at the same time if needed. The "kids" room which is close to the "parent's" room was a big plus as the age of the kids were 5 and 7. The pool was a highlight for all of us, but especially the children who were in it first thing in the morning and last thing at night. The bathrooms, bedrooms, and kitchen were all well equipped. As were beach items including chairs, towels, beach bags, and beach toys. The location for us was perfect. Quiet and remote, but not too far from any beach we wanted to explore. The sunsets are stunning. Being able to walk to Francis Beach was perfect, although the kids needed a ride back up to the house. Don't miss the chance to spend some time at On A Clear Day!

On a Clear Day YOU CAN see forever!

Our family of 8 adults and 1 toddler had the most wonderful time staying at "On A Clear Day". This home had everything we needed and more. The home was in immaculate condition and the pool was wonderful. There was a beautiful view from ALL rooms and sitting on the pool deck was so relaxing. The house provided a decent amount of pool toys , rafts and snorkle gear, as well as beach chairs for the whole family. We all utilized the work out room. I could go on and on but you must see for yourself. We most certainly would rent this house again if we were to return to St. John. The location was great. We could actually walk to Frances Bay . Mayo Bay was one of our favorites and was within a 10 minute drive from the house. Terry the property manager could not have been more helpful. We used the services of Landlubber Logistics to have the house stocked with all the essentials upon are arrival. This was such a treat. I definitely would use their services again.

Wonderful Thanksgiving Getaway!

We (8 adults, friends and family) stayed at this lovely property over Thanksgiving, and it truly exceeded our expectations. We have been coming to St. John for over a decade and stayed all over the island. The highlight for us was its fantastic proximity to Francis Bay beach; it was a 5 minute walk from the house which is rare on St. John as you usually need to drive at least 15 minutes to get to any beach. Being so close made it effortless to enjoy early morning swims and late afternoon snorkels in the calm waters. It felt like having our own private beach. The property itself was spacious, comfortable, and impeccably maintained. The kitchen was well-equipped, which made preparing meals or cocktails easy. The extra fridge was a plus. The west facing views from the deck were incredible. The pool was fantastic and we were originally concerned that it not having a heater would be an issue but it was easily 82 degrees every day. Because the house was west facing, the one thing we would suggest is to have sun shades or a cantilever umbrella on the pool deck in order to have the option of some shade while in the pool. Terry the property manager was wonderful to work with via text, email or phone and when we ran into some issues with the ice maker, she got an appliance repair person out there the next day to fix it. If you're looking for a relaxing retreat with easy access to one of the island’s most pristine beaches, this is the place to stay. We can’t wait to come back!

The house was beautiful and had the most gorgeous view we’ve ever seen. It was very clean and stocked with everything we needed during our stay. We appreciated the auxiliary ice maker, snorkels, chairs, coolers, and beach bags. The bedrooms were nice and cool at night and the beds were all very comfortable. The living areas and kitchen were warm at times but the breeze coming through the windows seemed to help, along with the huge fan in the living room. We enjoyed the pool and appreciated the use of the floats and poolside grill. Terry was so friendly and very informative. She answered all my questions and offered tips to help make our trip as fun and easy as possible. We all had a great time and hope to visit again soon.

Perfect for family and friends

We recently stayed here with my family and another family (4 adults and 4 kids). Plenty of room for us all, and the pool was a huge bonus for the kids. We also enjoyed easy access to Maho Bay which turned out to be our favorite beach!

Absolutely beautiful view and fantastic accommodations. Unsurpassed spot to stay on St John above Francis bay. This is a one of a kind experience. Worth every penny.

This villa made for a perfect vacation! It had a beautiful view, it was well stocked with quality appliances and equipment (everything worked!), the beds were comfortable, lots of wildlife around, close to great beaches and snorkeling, it was quiet and secluded.

Breathtaking

The views were extraordinary! We were able to snorkel, paddle board, hike, and run all within a very short distance from the house. The lap pool was also great.

Perfect House!

We vacationed on St. John in June with another family and had a perfect vacation! The house was set up very well for our 2 families. We were able to get away and have some peace a quiet if necessary. We loved that the bedrooms had their own patios to sit outside and enjoy the view. The kitchen was well stocked, it very convenient to have the washer/dryer, and the pool was fabulous! The screened in area with dining table was great and we ate all our meals out there. We have been to St. John for the past 14 years and will only stay in Francis Bay. There is no better beach in my opinion :-) We enjoyed snorkeling the right side of Francis and saw the beautiful turtles every day. At the house we had donkeys and deer visit us daily along with bananaquits and hummingbirds. You will not be disappointed if you choose to stay at On A Clear Day!

family vacation in heaven

It is a jaw dropping moment when entering ON A CLEAR DAY Villa. The privacy and view make it difficult to ever leave the pool! Pictures can never give it justice. We had nine in our party and never felt closed in, or crowded. The villa was in pristine condition with all the kitchen, electronic, and beach toy ammenities you could ever want. We have rented villas many times in St John and by far this surpasses all. Terry, the manager could not be nicer.

Exceeded my Expectations

The villa and location were excellent! The villa is first class and exceeded my expectations. The views from morning to sunset was breathtaking, and one of our favorite rituals was hanging out in the pool every night to watch the sunset. The owners thought of every detail with this villa. BTW, must have jeep to get around the island and to the house. My husband had so much fun driving the steep hills and turns. After visiting several of the North Shore beaches, Francis was our favorite. The snorkeling was fantastic and there we no crowds like we found on Trunk or Cinnamon Bay. We also snorkeled Salt Pond Beach which was like snorkeling in an aquarium. After our week in "On a Clear Day", we are spoiled and will want to stay here again on our return. Thank you Beth and Terry for making our booking and experience so easy

Wow.

Here is my review: This is the nicest house on the planet. A testament to good taste and well thought out design at every level...energy use being one. Neither these photos nor mine can do it justice. AAA+ property managers. Im still stunned that my bad luck with a villa rental elsewhere landed me here. One of the great weeks in my life.
