We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home that is just as depicted in the photos and was very clean upon arrival. The location is excellent with just a short walk to a very large, uncrowded beach and a short drive for groceries or your choice of many excellent restaurants on IOP or Sullivan’s Island. An issue with the pool and with one bathroom were handled quickly by Avant Stay. We would certainly book this home again when traveling to IOP.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. It's great to hear the home matched the photos and was spotless on arrival, and that the short walk to a wide, quiet beach and easy access to the restaurants on IOP and Sullivan's Island made the location a win. We appreciate your patience with the pool and bathroom and are glad our team could resolve both quickly. We would love to welcome you back on your next trip to IOP.

We had a great stay. Everything was perfect when we checked in. The house was very clean and roomy. There were 8 of us staying in the house and we never felt cramped. The kitchen had everything we needed. Everyone loved that they each had their own bathroom with their rooms. We never ran out of hot water when showering. It was a short walk to the beach. It was nice sitting around the pool in the evening with the fire pit and our cocktails. We will definitely be staying here again when we come back. The house was perfect.

Eight people, zero crowding, and endless hot water, that's a house doing its job! Evenings around the pool with the fire pit and cocktails sound like the right way to end beach days. We'll have it all ready for your return!

We had a wonderful time. Everything was perfect. We had 8 adults with us, so nice that every bedroom has it's own bathroom. Kitchen was well stocked. The hosts were wonderful, very responsive. We would definitely stay here again for future trips. (Only thing I would change is, it would be nice to have a TV in all bedrooms.) Overall, it was excellent. Thanks for making our vacation great!

It sounds like the home was a great fit for your group of eight — the ensuite bathrooms really do make a difference when traveling with a crowd. We're so glad the well-stocked kitchen and responsive communication added to your trip, and we appreciate the note about TVs in the bedrooms; I'll pass that along to the team. Thank you for the wonderful review, and we'd love to welcome you and your group back for a future trip!

Family Spring Break

Family from North and South Carolina met and spent a super week in this amazing house! The kitchen was fully stocked for the few nights that we cooked in and there was PLENTY of seating for our family of 10. We had enough room inside to not be cramped also! Would definitely recommend!!!

The property needs TLC. While the size and space in the house met our needs, and the kitchen was well equipped to allowed us to prepare good meals, a number of items was not as advertised or meet the quality of a property in this caliber of rental.

Family Vacation at the Beach

My husband and I, our 2 grown children and their partners and our 14 month old grandson just spent a week at 5 32nd Ave. it was a great house for us. Everyone appreciated the en suite bathrooms. The beds were comfortable. We hired a private chef one night and the large kitchen was great for her. We all enjoyed the balconies, the pool and the fire pit. One rainy day we stayed in and played games. The large living room with leather couches allowed us all to hang out comfortably. The house is an easy walk to the beach as the public access point is close.

It’s wonderful that everyone enjoyed the en suite bathrooms, comfortable beds, and spacious living areas — especially the kitchen for your private chef and the cozy living room for a rainy day of games. We’re also glad the balconies, pool, and fire pit added to your stay, and that the easy beach access made things even more convenient. It sounds like you made some truly special memories, and we’d be honored to host your family again in the future!

Everything we’ve looked for ..

We are picky! We’ve been renting beach houses for family vacations for so many years in so many locations! All we ask is perfection! Very easy walk to the beach. Comfortable mattresses, king beds in 3 bedrooms, twins or queen in other bedrooms, shady pool with plenty of shallow water for the toddlers, lots of porch and outdoor seating, nearby grocery and good restaurants. This property hit all our desires. One small recommendation would be to add shades or drapes to the great room since it got too warm in late afternoon. Otherwise we all agreed this one is a keeper!

Thank you so much, Melanie! We’re truly honored to hear that our home checked all the boxes for your family, especially from such seasoned beach house renters! From the layout to the location, it sounds like you were able to enjoy everything just as we hoped. We really appreciate your feedback about the great room. Adding window coverings is a great suggestion, and we’ll definitely take that into consideration to make future stays even more comfortable. We’d love to welcome your family back anytime—it means a lot to hear you consider this one a keeper!

Baseball in Charleston

We loved this rental property. We came in for baseball games but also for a family vacation. The house was close to the beach ( weather did not cooperate) close to town and to the ship yard where baseball games were played. House was large enough for fun and games or for those that just wanted their own space. Issue with the hot water the first day but was immediately taken care of. There were no kitchen towels so went through extra paper towels other then that it was perfect! Will look to rent this again next year for sure and pray for better weather😁

Great family experience

Overall the property was ideal for our family of eleven. There was ample space for family gatherings, but also a floorplan that accommodated private space for each family. Proximity to the beach was excellent, while the house location was still removed from the main traffic area. Our family enjoyed the pool but the pump timer needs adjusted to a later time both on and off. It was loud enough to wake people on that side of the house very early and shut off by mid afternoon. Although we arrived Saturday the pool did not appear to have been cleaned before our arrival.

Overall Nice Option

After booking late in the game this summer, we found this house. It suited our family well as each bedroom has an attached bathroom. It's also close to the beach and was an easy drive to the stores. The only downsides were the lack of a cool fridge upon arrival (with Covid and Babies, kinda needed) and the overall cleanliness wasn't 100% ... I think it's just high season, but we found some debris/dead bugs in the house upon arrival.
