Regarding cleaning, towels and linen, for stays of two weeks or more, weekly cleaning and a linen change are provided. We can confirm that this service was carried out on Friday, 11 September 2026. Towels are provided on arrival and replaced halfway through each week. Thank you for letting us know about the ensuite toilet. We will have it checked immediately. The fuse board is located in the entrance hall and is not locked, so the trip switch can be accessed directly. Dear Kate, Thank you for your review. Similar to what we replied to the previous review, this has been a very odd year regarding the weather and is not usual so much rain and cold in April. The week you have been stayed with us, the temperatures were between 9º and 18º Celsius, but this week already is showing signs of improvement. As we have explained by email houses in Algarve are not equipped with central heating systems similar to what you find abroad or even in the north of our country, where the weather is colder. Nevertheless, the house is equipped with air conditioning with heating function, which were working correctly and our only intervention was to adjust the settings (Mode and Temperature) with the remote control. Regarding ants and bugs, we are on an area with very warm weather, full of vegetation with the added fact that it’s spring season, therefore not much we can do about ants and bugs, other than try minimising with ant spray/powder. We also appreciate your recognition of how quickly we resolved the dishwasher issue by replacing it upon your arrival. We do acknowledge that the property is a traditional holiday home and, as such, some aspects naturally reflect its age. We regularly address maintenance issues as they arise, and we will certainly review the points you mentioned regarding door handles, windows and doors. We will also keep your comments about the sun loungers in mind when considering future improvements. Regarding cleaning during a two-week stay, our usual approach is intentionally limited to a quick service with a change of towels and bed linen. This is based on the experience and preference of the majority of our guests, who generally prefer not to have cleaning staff entering the property during their holiday. We understand that guests have different expectations, however, and we are sorry that this arrangement did not suit you. We will consider making this policy even clearer in the property information so expectations are aligned before arrival. With regard to the airport, we would also like to clarify this point. The property is not situated in an area that we consider to be subject to significant or continuous aircraft noise. Flights can occasionally be heard, as is the case in parts of the wider region, but they are intermittent rather than a constant disturbance. We are therefore sorry that this was such a negative aspect of your stay, particularly as individual sensitivity to occasional aircraft noise can of course vary. Overall, we appreciate your comments and will use the constructive points to continue improving the property. At the same time, we hope future guests will understand that this is an established holiday home with a particular character, a very beautiful outdoor setting, and a location where occasional aircraft noise can occur. We are glad that you experienced our communication and responsiveness positively, and that the dishwasher problem and any other reported situation was dealt with promptly during your stay. A rega automática faz parte da manutenção do espaço exterior, contudo compreendemos o transtorno provocado. O temporizador pode, ocasionalmente, desregular devido a picos ou falhas de energia. Assim que tomámos conhecimento, informámos o jardineiro para proceder aos ajustes necessários o mais rapidamente possível, embora nem sempre seja possível uma intervenção tão imediata quanto desejado. Em relação ao grelhador, trata-se do equipamento descrito no anúncio. Nevertheless, the house is equipped with air conditioning with heating function and if this wasn’t enough if you have call or emailed us we would be able to provide some potable oil heaters… Regarding the hoover, this is the first time we someone brings such subject to our attention, reason why we cannot understand the meaning.... Maid service is included in the booking and the service was provided accordingly. Can you please be so kind to send us an email explaing exactly what needs to be replaced or done so that we can address it immediately? Thank you very much and always we remain yours. If we replace them, they will soft for some and hard for others. Thank you very much for your feedback. All situation were and will be addressed accordingly. Regarding the paint dust coming off the lower walls, it’s a situation that is identified but the owner insists in applying paint on top of the areas instead of allowing us to completely strip and apply a fresh coat of good paint (much more expensive), but we will get there eventually… Maid service twice a week is our standard service, which includes the changing of bathrooms towels twice a week and sheets once a week. According to our logs, the maids went to your accommodation twice. Once you were in and the other time you were away. On the day you were away, normal cleaning was made, which included making the beds, moping the floor and cleaning the bathroom. This time also coincided with the bathroom towel change. If this information is incorrect please contact us immediately, so we can check thoroughly. Regarding the information folder, when guests check-in on our reception we always give a set of sheets containing useful information which includes a basic map of the area, general information, useful contact numbers and restaurants. If you did not get this set of sheets I do apologise for our fault. We are already taking measures regarding this information which we find to be of great value to our guests and will now be sent by email also. We enforce the importance of contacting us immediately whenever needed so that we can act as fast as possible and in due course. Thank you very much for your comments. House is equipped with ar conditioned which works both for cool and heat. We are always available to supply portable oil radiators, extra blankets, etc upon guests request. No pool heating in this house. Looking forward for your next visit. Kind regards. Vilamoura-Villas
