Cozy Cottage Between the Beach & Bay East – Walk to Water!

We’re Casey and Cash—originally from New York and North Carolina, now happily rooted in sunny San Diego. As a family of four, we love spending time outdoors, whether it’s biking along the coast, hiking local trails, or just soaking up beach days with our kids. Hosting allows us to share a little slice of this beautiful community with others, and we truly enjoy helping guests feel at home while they explore everything San Diego has to offer.

We chose this neighborhood because it offers the perfect blend of beachside charm and laid-back community living. Tucked away on a quiet, family-friendly court, it’s peaceful while still being just steps from all the action. We love starting the day with a walk or bike ride along the scenic boardwalks, which wind past the bay and ocean and lead to some of our favorite local restaurants, coffee shops, and boutiques. It’s the kind of place where neighbors say hello, kids ride scooters in the court, and the sunsets are always worth stopping for.

What makes our beach cottage truly special is its nostalgic charm and the unique character of the court it sits on. Unlike many of the narrower lanes in Mission Beach, our court is wider and offers lovely views of the bay—giving the whole area a more open, relaxed feel. It’s a quiet, family-friendly spot where neighbors know each other, kids play outside, and the pace feels just a bit slower. That warmth and sense of community make it more than just a place to stay—it’s a place to feel at home.
