There is something special about this home. From the moment pull into the driveway you are transported to the quintessential Cape House. The decor was so thoughtful and charming - and the gathering areas were perfect but there are still little nooks to give everyone a separate place to relax too. The backyard was immaculate - the hydrangeas and lavender drawing in bees and butterflies was perfect. And the location was great - a short walk to the beach and everything was a short drive. Mary was an incredible host - Very warm and communicative. I would stay here over and over and over again. Thank you for the memories.

The cottage is beautiful and decorated as someone's home rather than a vacation rental property. St. Landing beach is a short walk and great for a stroll on the beach or in the ocean during low tide which is an amazing experience. Mary is a great property manager and it shows in the fine details that made this our perfect getaway and a memorable first experience of the Cape Cod area. The fenced in backyard was the best playground for our daughter and her best buddy 1 year old dog.

Beautiful property with an amazing large hydrangea-fenced yard and small pollinator /butterfly garden near an outdoor seating area. I truly enjoyed watching the bees on the lavender plants while I had morning coffee. Very short walk to a lovely small bayside beach. Older house is clean and very well appointed with homey additions like a library of summer reads and board games. I'm a MA resident, have been coming to the Cape for 20 years, and would rate this as a top stay. Highly recommend the lobster rolls at Cape House, which is walkable from the house. I would definitely stay there again. Only complaint is that I felt like I got too many repetitive emails re rules and housekeeping, including one in ALL CAPS (which means being shouted at!) regarding check out. Cheers!

The home and yard were lovely and it was an excellent location for the beach, it was very walkable. However there were multiple differences in the listing and the checkin/out details. Our checkin was delayed due to it not being ready and the agreement was for 11am check out and 4 cars. The owners rules, in all caps and bold, is 10am checkout and only 2 cars. For those traveling with a dog, this really should not be advertised as pet friendly. The pet rules listed when we arrived were very unreasonable - dogs not allowed in any bedrooms and “under no circumstances” should they be left in the house alone. If they are crated the crate time must be limited to 1 hour. We have traveled dozens of times with our dog and never seen this. Since dogs aren’t allowed on the beach this essentially means you’re planning a beach vacation and not able to visit any beaches or go out to eat. Also you are required to vacuum (the previous guest clearly did not as I vacuumed up hair that wasn’t my dogs). The house manager was responsive and helpful but overall the house rules and expectations were really unusually excessive and incorrectly advertised.

We enjoyed our stay overall. The house was nice, comfortable, and in a great location close to the beach. The host was responsive and made an effort to address the issues that came up.The biggest issue was the washer and dryer. They had been damaged by a previous guest before our arrival, so we don’t fault the host for causing the problem however we had no idea in advance of this issue. The host did try to have them repaired, including having a plumber come during our stay, but unfortunately they remained unusable for our entire week. Having a washer and dryer is an important amenity, and not having them was a significant inconvenience. We received 120 in compensation, which we appreciated as an effort to address the situation, but we did not feel it adequately reflected losing both appliances for the entire stay-trips to the laundry mat at night, trip to Target for necessities, and stained clothes.For guests traveling with pets, be sure to carefully review the pet policy. Pets can only be left alone in the house for one hour or they must be crated, which is a fairly restrictive policy. They also are not allowed in the bedrooms. We did not notice this policy until the day before.Overall, we liked the house and location, but the combination of the laundry issue and other inconveniences would cause us to never return. We appreciate the host’s efforts to resolve the problems and hope everything has been addressed for future guests.

It's unfortunate that we could not get the new washer and dryer hooked up due to required major plumbing required. However we did notify her in advance of her stay of what was happening. Extremely difficult to get a new washer and dryer installed when you have guests coming and going back to back but we did everything possibly we could. Sadly out of our control when previous guests broke it. Pet policies are in place so that the animals are safe otherwise it's a liability for us and we think we're pretty generous allowing pets overall.

Such a cute and cozy home in a beautiful location! The proximity to the bay was the perfect walk for optimum beach time and the fenced in backyard was perfect for our golden retriever to join in on the vacation too! Mary, the property manager, was extremely responsive, kind, and helpful. We truly enjoyed our stay!

Really lovely stay in Brewster. The house was great for us, had plenty of space, and we loved having the backyard for our dog to run around in. All of the other basics were all taken care of too like having the charcoal for the grill, being able to do laundry, and beach towels and chairs. We loved the location too, nice to be able to walk to the beach, and very accessible to see other parts of the cape. Mary was very informative and helpful too, and made the stay easy. Already thinking about coming back for next summer.

Perfect House

This was the perfect house for a stay by the bay. The house is done very nicely, but was also perfect for our four year old and three year old. They especially loved playing in the back yard. Location is also great. You can walk to the beach, drive, or do a combination if you want to. Lots of good spots just a short drive away and very close to the Brewster General Store and ice cream! It was a perfect stay. Kudos to Mary as well--great property manager.

Wonderful Beach cottage for families

We had a wonderful time in this cute cape cod beach house. The fenced in backyard is lovely and absolutely perfect for the family to gather after a day at the beach. The inside is very cozy and we were very comfortable here. Restaurants and beaches are very close by. Scoops (ice cream store) and the general store are exactly 1 mile away. The best part for us was the little beach that was about an 8 minute walk from the house. Cape cod beaches are hard to get into as the parking lots fill up quickly so this was a lovely treat for us to have a beach that was walking distance from the house. The neighborhood is very friendly, family oriented and safe. We truly had a great time here and would definitely love to come back again! The property manager (Mary) was very thorough and responsive. We never had to wait for any information pertaining to our stay and she was extremely helpful with any questions that we had.

The house itself was cute, charming, and full of character. The yard was beautiful, and the hydrangeas were fantastic. The location was also excellent, with the beach nearby and plenty of restaurants and food options within about five minutes.Unfortunately, the overall cleanliness of the house was not acceptable when we arrived. It looked as though the property had been closed up for the winter without receiving a thorough cleaning before guests returned. There were cobwebs on the light fixtures and behind the sinks, and dust covered nearly every flat surface. The floors were so dusty that our feet were black shortly after arriving. The refrigerator also had dirt and old food in the seals and gaps, and several of the dishes were not clean.We informed the property manager, but they were unable to arrange cleaning until the following evening. At that point, it did not seem worthwhile to disrupt our stay.This could be a truly fantastic property if the cleanliness issues are addressed. Hopefully, our feedback was taken seriously and a thorough deep cleaning has since been completed.
