Hostess was welcoming. The setting is beautiful, however the villa is very tired. The fan and light over the kitchen counter did not work, lighting was not bright, kitchen area is very dark, the living room couches were very uncomfortable and marred, the living area was also very dark. We asked for bug repellant to replenish the spray in the bathroom on Monday/Tuesday. Did not receive the repellant until Friday. Many of the remotes were not functional and were not labeled. The many candles, both electronic and traditional were not functional when we needed them. The power went out on Friday, and remained off over 36 hours. We heard generators running all around us in other houses, however our villa had no generator. Without power, we couldn't flush the toilet, take showers or wash the dishes. We were surprised that through out the week, no one serviced the pool or came to clean up. We would suggest that the villa is desperate for a "deep clean"...bugs in the bathroom globes and dust on the pans hanging from the kitchen rack and the kitchen globes need some attention. Spices in the kitchen should be discarded due to moisture making them solid and impossible to use. We had to wash and clean dishes, pots and pans before we were able to use them.
