Interesting review! Considering on the phone you told me what a nice place it was in one of our MULTIPLE conversations during your 3 day stay, ALL of which were in regards to you not being able to use the televisions, never in regards to anything being outdated. Our staff visited the unit twice during your stay to assist you with your TVs. The first time to get the bedroom one working as you indicated there was an issue. A new HDMI cord was required and replaced. At that time our staff checked both that the bedroom TV was working and also that the living room was as well. When our staff departed the unit you were there and both TV’s were on and functioning. Hours later you called saying the living room TV “muted itself.” While we were on hold with the cable company to see if there was something they could do to help you or perhaps the service itself was having issues you called saying the bedroom TV had also “muted itself!” The same one that our staff had verified was working hours before. Perhaps user error? After spending an hour on hold with the cable company to see what they could do to assist you, you informed us that the TV “unmuted itself.” At this point we determined regardless of user error or TV glitch we would replace the living room TV for you the following morning. A new smart TV was brought on Sunday morning and again staff verified both TV’s were operational upon departure. During multiple phone calls and 2 visits by our staff you never mentioned anything regarding the condo needing updating. However, your text messages informing our company on when you were planning to leave, hours past check out time is a clear breach of the rental agreement you signed. Your voicemail Monday morning at 10:39 am stating you planned to “go over my head” and “go to the credit card company and dispute the bill” if we didn’t respond we considered a threat of extortion, something our company does not capitulate to. We had already texted you back that morning at 9:03 am and did respond to you via email after our Monday morning meetings around noon that the refund you “expected” would not be sent. What is outdated is the mentality that you can bully a company into a refund because you did not get your way on a late check out and after a company fixed every issue you brought to our attention. I hope you find a more updated place to vacation next time.

Thank you for your review. Although some appliances are not brand new, they are all in good working condition. The end of the summer is when we take inventory of linens, towels and kitchen supplies to replace. There is no time during the summer season. We are sorry you heard your neighbors, which is common when renting in a condo building. We can not do anything about the thickness of the walls.

Hi Julie, Thank you for your review. We are sorry you were disappointed in the deck furniture. We do state in our listings that furniture is subject to change. We do not always have time to get the photographer back out to take shots of just the deck. The chains/hardware were rusting on the swing and it was removed for safety reasons. We hope you will visit again.

We appreciate your feedback and are glad you enjoyed the beach and wildlife here. Most of our properties are booked solid until Labor Day Weekend when you arrived. So a number of the housekeeping issues mentioned would be handled in our end of season deep cleans. The drawers are cleaned out then, the ceiling fans dusted and baseboards done during this type of clean. As well, we did not hear from you until the afternoon before you checked out regarding the housekeeping issues. Had we heard from you at the beginning of your stay we could have sent the housekeeping crew back to address some of these issues of concern. As well, it is not stated in any of our correspondence that we provide laundry detergent and our renters typically bring theirs own. When you reached out to us about that we said to just leave the linens and our housekeeping would handle it during their clean. The pool sign up system we do agree was frustrating and was not our decision but one of the HOA. It is no longer in place and the pool has reopened to capacity deemed appropriate by DHEC. Thank you.

Hi Whitney, You rented a 1 bedroom, 1.5 bath condo. Maybe next time rent something larger. There is not much we can do about the floor plan. You rental agreement states to contact us immediately with any cleaning issues. We never heard from you until after your check out, a bit late for us to send some one back if you were not happy. All of our properties need a deep clean right now due to back to back bookings. The condo is cleaned every week with the floors being swept and mopped. Since you stayed all week without a complaint to us, it must have not been a big problem.

Thank you for your feedback. Your check in instructions stated clearly what supplies would be in the condo. We do not provide supplies for your entire stay and this is not like a hotel with daily maid service. I am sorry the baseboards were dusty, but I have no idea what that has to do with COVID!
