This is a perfect home for a family beach weekend or vacation. Lots of space, a well equipped kitchen and a perfect location near the beach and all the fun, make this charming home the answer to our needs. We walked everywhere all weekend. The weather cooperated too, which is always a plus!

This was a fantastic place for our family trip to Santa Cruz. The location couldn’t be better—easy access to the beach, restaurants, and attractions. The home was well-stocked with everything we needed and very comfortable for a family of four. We felt right at home and would absolutely come back!

Over all the place was clean, although underwear from a previous guest was found under one of the beds and some of the outside trash cans were full even though we checked in on the evening after garbage pickup. Bath mats would be useful as the floor can be slippery. Location and proximity to attractions is great. All the bedrooms and showers are up stairs so, this should be considered if a guest has trouble with stairs.

Thank you for your thoughtful review! We're glad to hear you enjoyed the home's convenient location and its proximity to local attractions. We sincerely apologize for the housekeeping oversights you encountered. Finding an item left behind under a bed and arriving to full outdoor trash cans is not the experience we strive to provide. We've shared your feedback with our housekeeping team to help ensure these issues are addressed. We also appreciate your suggestion regarding bath mats and will take it into consideration as we continue to improve the guest experience. Thank you as well for mentioning that the bedrooms and showers are located upstairs. We hope to have the opportunity to host you again in the future!

The house was in a great location, clean, cozy well stocked with adequate parking on site and on the street. Easy beach access. The front door was extremely difficult to lock and unlock. There was a small hole, with an outlet/plug, on the floor in the Living room which caused pain to one of the guests when they stood on it. Seems it should be covered somehow.

Thank you for your kind words about the location, cleanliness, and beach access—we’re so glad you enjoyed those aspects of the home. We also appreciate you bringing the door lock and the uncovered outlet in the living room to our attention. Guest safety and comfort are very important to us, and we’re addressing both items to ensure they’re resolved for future stays. Needs deep cleaning & repair

Location fantastic. House is generally good. Large, great for a family stay. Very, very, very much in need of a thorough cleaning: door knobs, area around corners light switches, walls all very dirty. Truly with a bit of maintenance, solid, extensive deep cleaning would be an outstanding house.

Perfect Location

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This place has a perfect location close to just about anything you would want to do in Santa Cruz. Even walking to downtown was an easy 25 minute walk along an easy walking path that overlooked a canal. Could not ask for a better location. The house, as mentioned in previous comments, could do with some updating, but did not affect the stay in the least. Kitchen was fully equipped, and there was plenty of room for four adults and two children! Could not be happier with the stay!

Needs basic maintenance (not just updating)

I had read the place needed updating which I could see in the pictures, but it actually needs a lot of maintenance: dirty carpet, walls, leaking sink and dishwasher (lots of puddles and warped floor), garbage disposal not working, light bulbs out or missing in bedrooms, bath, living area. We had a linen glitch but it was resolved, albeit slowly, though it was the holidays. Location good, parking good for the area. Door lock/knob doesn't work well which they should describe in emails so you don't have to call to figure it out when you arrive.
