Not too far from the beach or many of our favorite restaurants. My family loved the golf cart access and not having to load up the car to head to the beach or pool. It was also great for an evening ride around the property or over to Baytown to watch the fireworks.

Leese stay at Linkside 462

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: So disappointed upon arrival and very depressing; the web pictures were not up to date therefore did not present the property correctly. Once we got inside drapes were dirty & on the floor; fabric chairs/sofa were stained had to cover w/sheets before using them; shower door missing & a soiled plastic showered curtain hanging (staff delivered a new plastic shower curtain); patio chairs broken (staff delivered new ones); no screens on patio doors - could not enjoy fresh air; patio doors are bad w/large cracks for mosquitoes to enter (all sliding doors needed to be replaced); golf cart uncovered & filthy dirty had to wash seats & stirring wheel before using; no hot water only warm; overgrown landscaping, patio/courtyard was a disaster (staff was sent out to blow off & trim scrubs so we could go & come from door. We made several calls & the staff were always willing to correct but we shouldn't have had to call. All these things should have been done before we arrived, which led us to believe the property had not been prepared for rental. We found it embarrassing being in this house because all the neighbors’ properties were well kept. It was obvious that this property had not had any TLC for a very long time. We loved the area but would not stay in this rental again. Based on our experience with "My Vacation Haven" we would be very reluctant to rent again. A big thanks to staff for caring and trying to do the best they could.

Fun trip

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We've have stayed in Sandestin for years at many locations in the resort and just love it. Linkside is our favorite part with quiet streets and access to bay and beach. The home was very clean and as described. The drawbacks were that we NEVER had wifi access the entire week even though many communications were had with the rental company and a tech was supposed to be sent out. That limited access also to TV programs, devices in the evening but more importantly, my husband was unable to work when he needed to. There was very minimal cooking supplies in the kitchen, so bring everything with you. I did love that a box of new items like soap and sponges were supplied in each bathroom and kitchen. Another drawback was that we were unable to use any of the outside furniture. They were filthy and covered in algae. The weather was beautiful while we were there, but we couldn't sit outside.

Online pictures are very deceiving.

The property was much smaller than the pictures portrayed. The unit sleeps five, including cot. The parking should fit 4 cars. The owners had two golf carts and a car there, leaving only room for two. The kitchen is too small to cook in. The tubs do not drain well. The unit wasn’t very clean. There were multiple roaches. The dryer did not work well. Very few outlets work. That makes it very dark at night because the lamps wouldn’t work. The ice maker doesn’t work. The golf cart is very old and the brakes don’t work very well. Before booking, I inquired about access to resort amenities. I was told that we had access to pools, golf, fitness center, beach access, etc. That’s not the case. That’s only if you book through the resort. We had to park in public parking at the resort to access the beach. The beaches are way too crowded. The only thing we reported to Vacation Haven was the parking situation. Nothing was done about that. We did not want to spend an entire day while maintenance and housekeeping fixed the issues. We paid over $2000 for 5 nights. I was a rip off. Do not stay at this house.

Exceptionally clean and recently updated home

This was our first time to Sandestin and we loved it! You never have to leave the complex. Having a golf cart is the main form of transportation and you can even get to the Publix grocery store with it. The home has everything you need. It was so clean and updated. The pictures showed a keurig but there was also a regular coffee pot.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall the house was in good shape, clean, and had just about everything we needed. The golf cart was great and very helpful with getting around! There were a decent amount of annoyances though. The first being the driveway. Good thing we only had one car because if there was another it wouldn’t have fit in the driveway. There was a covered Mini Cooper and another covered golf cart parked on the one side of the the driveway keeping us from parking there. The hot water tank is also WAY too small for this house. Half the tub would fill then the water would get cold. 10 minutes into a shower and the water would be cold. Major issue with 4 people all trying to get ready at the same time. The dryer also heats the whole house and smelled like it hadn’t been used in a while. Also had issues with the internet the first two days. I had to reset it over 10 times and maintenance came out to do the same thing. Magically after 2 days of resetting it whenever needing it it started to work.

We love the location but this property is in need of a update. The master Bath was awful.

We were very disappointed in everything about this property. Also, the golf cart was old. As much money as we paid to rent this property, we thought it would be nicer. Weeds growing up on patio area and master bath was awful.
