The Cottage at Still Pond Farm is a hidden gem. The location is beautiful, the house was well laid out, clean, and thoroughly stocked. Joanna couldn't have been nicer, and even jumped in her cart and brought us wood so we could have a fire in the fire pit the night we arrived.There are walking opportunities on the property, and drivable access to hikes near the blue ridge. Sitting on the porch with a book was awesome especially when one or two of the barn cats showed up for attention. Our family was always on the lookout for Smokey, the cat, who was never far away.This was the wedding weekend for one of our children so we had easy access to the nearby venue, and a place for other adult children to stay. We took pictures around the house and fire pit due to the picturesque beauty.My wife and I plan to visit again for a long weekend to enjoy the VA mountains, and the peaceful setting.

We had such a great stay. The property was beautiful, especially at the firepit at night. It was a wonderfully peaceful place to disconnect from our normal city life with our kids. My young kids got to run around and pet horses. Wildrock was an awesome outdoor playscape nearby. The property host was very responsive to all my questions. We would love to return some time.

Beautiful location & great house!

We attended a wedding close by & our family stayed here for a weekend. So much nicer than a hotel! Beautiful grounds, lots of privacy & very kind owner. Charlottesville is short 15-20 drive. Highly recommend!

Great weekend at Still Pond Farm Cottage!

My family of four had a wonderful time at the Still Pond Farm Cottage in Stanardsville, VA. We especially enjoyed the cozy fireplace, the comfortable beds, and the friendly cats that greeted us every time we returned to the cabin from going out and about.

Beautiful stay

This was a beautiful property with a cozy cabin. We enjoyed the friendly horses and Smokey the cat. It was quiet and relaxing and just what we needed for a few days away from the hustle and bustle of life. We’d definitely recommend this for anyone who enjoys country living and beautiful, quiet spaces.

The perfect rustic cabin feel but with all the amenities you want. Very clean and well-maintained. The host quickly fixed a light in one of the closets when we asked about it. Beds were comfortable. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the porch while listening to the birds. Close to several wineries!

Lovely farm cottage with stunning views!

Fabulous Girls’ Trip!

We had so much fun visiting the wineries near Charlottesville. This property was a picturesque farm setting nearby and the log cabin was clean, roomy and filled with all the things we needed for our weekend. Our host responded to all of our questions timely and helped us when planning our stay. We would definitely visit again!

Lovely spot

A group of five women had a wonderful long weekend here. The surrounding area is gorgeous and the farm is spectacular - friendly cats, horses, chickens. Small but adequate kitchen. Highly recommend.

Wonderful!

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. The property and the cottage are beautiful. This is such a nice, quiet and relaxing spot. The owners and their farm staff were very kind and helpful prior to the visit and when we arrived. We definitely would love to come back!

Beautiful

Our stay was wonderful and more then we had hoped for! The house is surrounded by beautiful horse pastures. The house was roomy enough for our family of 7. The wrap around porch was great to sit and relax.

Family get together

We had a great time at Still Pond. The cabin is accurately described in the post and really has everything one would need for a stay away from home. The host is very responsive, understanding, and generous in sharing this unique property nestled on a beautiful horse farm in the Virginia countryside.

Tranquil Retreat

If your looking for a peaceful lovely place to stay in a rural setting but just a short drive to Charlottesville and Skyline Drive and all they have to offer, this is it. Have stayed in many VRBOs in the past and this was one of the very best. We will be back. Also should mention this is centrally located in Virginia wine country.

Unique Cottage Retreat

Our family of 6 enjoyed our stay in this comfortable, nicely decorated, well appointed cottage. Horse stable and barn cats right outside our door were a welcomed treat. Perfect for a weekend getaway, just bummed the falls colors weren't quite on full display. Owners were helpful and attentive.

Great stay at Still Pond Farm

We had a lovely stay at the Cottage at Still Pond Farm. The rooms are brighter than they appear in photos. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was fully stocked, and the setting was beautiful. We were in town for UVA graduation and it was a pretty 30 minute drive to the festivities. The owner was always very responsive to messages prior to our stay. We had no issues during our stay. I highly recommend this wonderful cottage!
