The Wildflower Cabin on Big Wood Lake

Welcome to the Wildflower Cabin on the beautiful Wood Lake in Grantsburg, Wisconsin! We'd be delighted to have you as our guests and hope you'd enjoy a comfortable and memorable stay! This is an oasis retreat full of amenities for all ages. Every inch of this cabin has been carefully planned out, from the colors to the decor. We want to make this cabin something to remember. Where memories come to bloom! Our guest book, with all the instructions, is located on the kitchen island. 



ALL BOATS ARE WELCOME, FREE TO DOCK DURING STAY! Our composite dock accommodates most recreational watercraft, including pontoons, wake boats, speedboats, jet skis, fishing boats, canoes, kayaks, and paddle boats. Just be mindful of occasional lily pads near the dock.



WE LOVE PETS!! HOWEVER...

You can blame Tony, the owner, and his daughter, who unfortunately have pet allergies. Which, trust me, is such a bummer! So, our best friends (non-human) will unfortunately have to stay at home or with the grandparents. We can accept therapy dogs on a case-by-case basis. Just let us know so we can make appropriate accommodations.



TRAIL DOWN TO LAKE

The cabin sits on a hillside above Big Wood Lake, giving you beautiful elevated views from the porch. The tradeoff is the path down to the dock. It's a switchback gravel slope, and it can be slippery at times. Guests with mobility concerns, balance issues, or little ones in tow should plan to enjoy the lake views from the porch or walk up and down the path with caution. According to our permit with Burnett County, WI, we're up to code for the trail and don't require safety rails.
