Clean, cozy, with everything yo could need.

This property truly had it all, it was exactly as advertised and then some. The kitchen is well stocked and made cooking and grilling simple. The outdoor space makes it truly special. The dock is also a great setup for fishing or enjoying the sunset.

Amazing property

Amazing stay! Clean, great location, nice lake, and great views. Hosts even had a little welcome board set up for us. While we didn't need them for this trip the two extra bunk cabins are a great addition. Will definitely be back!

Beautiful, serene property!

Beautiful home, clean with many amenities. Swimming, fishing, kayaking and spacious. We had an awesome time. Great area, tons of room on the property. Everything was as described and expected. Good communication with the host. Would definitely book again!

Perfect Lake Home Getaway for Families

Thank you so much for such an incredible stay. We loved the serene lake views and appreciated that the cabin was well stocked with everything needed to make our family feel at home. The additional 2 bunk houses were the highlight for our children. The fully stocked kitchen, grill and ample seating made meals with the family fun & functional. The host and his family were so incredibly kind and attentive to us!!

Moosehead

Had a great visit and would book again. Check in was easy and owner communication was terrific. Our older teens enjoyed the bunk houses! The air conditioning and ceiling fans made everyone’s stay comfortable. Facilities were clean and stocked for a stress free stay. Thank you Carey Family for sharing your property 😊

Incredible Place and Location

Beautiful House. Kayaked and fished everyday. Took the Pontoon out a few days. Owners are awesome and helpful. Soo many extras. Really a first class place to stay. We used the house for our honeymoon having the separate cabins was great. We would absolutely stay here again

Wonderful cabin with a great view and modern amenities.

We spent a fall weekend up here and it was the perfect trip. The cabin is spacious and clean. It comes with all the cooking supplies you may need and has a beautiful view of the lake. We had not trouble fitting everyone in the house which has two bedrooms and additional buck houses during the non-winter months. It was a very nice stay, with a great host, and we hope to be back again!

This was absolutely perfect from start to finish. Dane was extremely easy to talk to and quick to respond before the trip even began. The bunk houses were a dream for the teenagers and parents alike. The house was well appointed and stocked, we had everything we needed. Can’t wait to come back!

Stunning House and Grounds

The house was immaculate in terms of cleanliness. It has everything you'd need to feel at home. The yard is huge and nicely kept. The lake is beautiful. We were worried about the excessive heat warnings and the bunk houses maybe being too hot for the kids but both had AC (and good WiFI). Communication was excellent and we felt very welcome. I can't recommend this property enough.

This cabin was truly soul food for my family and I. The serene beauty surrounding it feels almost unreal, and peaceful in a way that allows you to fully exhale. Every detail was thoughtful, cozy, and perfectly done. The kitchen is stocked with any supplies one could possibly need. The bathroom closets packed with fresh fluffy towels to dry off after a dip in the majestic lake. From the quiet mornings to the relaxing evenings catching a walleye off the dock; everything about this stay felt restorative and magical. The cabin was spotless, comfortable, and a sit in the big red leather recliner looking out at the lake is more than enough reason to love it. We left already talking about when we can come back. In fact our 8 year old asked on the way home if instead of going to Disney next summer, can we come back to moosehead lodge instead. Absolutely perfect in every way, and the most communicative, accommodating hosts we have ever had the pleasure of working with. We will be back!

Beautiful cabin

We enjoyed our stay at this property. The cabin is very nice, great layout, nice furnishings, it had everything that we needed and everything is as pictured. It is a quiet & peaceful setting with a beautiful lake view, has a private feel with woods on one side and large pine trees create privacy on the other side, completely blocking the view of the neighbors from the cabin and the patio. Everything is in good condition and very clean, including the patio furniture, porch and bunk houses. The owner was great to work with - friendly, responds quickly, and great communication. I would recommend this rental and would stay again.

Best VRBO Stay Yet!!

Within 10 seconds of stepping out of the car upon arrival we looked up and saw an eagle soaring overhead. What a good omen! :-) House and yard was fantastic! Had deer visit, the eagle quite often, a loon or two, blue and green herons, turkeys, hawks and too many other birds to count. Quiet end-of-the-road location. Just wonderful. Back to the house -- had everything you need for a fun stay. Very, VERY clean. While there we booked a second stay here for October. Rating this VRBO with only 5 stars doesn't do it justice.

Family bonding time

As with any trip, I was pretty stressed out from the travel process. Within minutes of arriving at the cabin, however, all of that stress literally melted away! I spent the first half hour or so just sitting on the dock and enjoying the sights and sounds of the lake. It was perfect, and even more than what I was hoping for when I saw the listing. We came up from Florida but have a lot of family in the area, so it was nice to be close while still having our own space. The property is beautiful inside and out, and has a lot of little comfortable touches that make it feel like home. I can't wait to come back to this little gem!

Perfect unplug vacation

Our family has been on the go all summer long, and finally found time to disconnect, unplug, and relax. This location was perfect for that. The house was very clean, well stocked with linens & kitchen items too. We enjoyed quiet nights on the patio playing games and listening to nature. We got lucky down on the dock catching fish... there was no fishing...all catching!! Little bluegills and 1 bass even!! Our kids loved this party of our day. We checked out the smaller bunk houses available too, would be great to have if you have a group with you, though we didn't need them. If you're looking for things to do, a quick 30 minutes gets you to St. Croix area or 1.5 hr to Duluth. If course the Grantsburg local creamery & brewery were a hit too!! You'll love the serenity that comes along with this beautiful location.

We had the best time on our annual girls weekend. I would 100% recommend this place. The cabin is so nicely kept up and had everything we needed and more. I cannot say enough about how wonderful the communication was. We can’t wait to go back!

The house was great. It has a fantastic kitchen and gathering area. The property was very nice with a great yard to play games and have kids runaround. The lake is very nice and shallow for a was in for kids to play. The owner was very helpful. I would stay in the area and house again.

Just a very nice, well kept, well decorated and well stocked property. Pretty easy to find, nicely situated on a small hill overlooking Little Wood Lake, a quiet little gem. Great sunsets! Dane, the Host, was very responsive to several questions we had before check-in and very nice to deal with. Very welcoming! The “cabin” - was much bigger than a cabin — had about everything you might want in a rental home, including AC, which we used on several hot days. Everything was very clean, everything was in good working condition, including a nice, clean hot tub, two kayaks, and a fireplace and fire pit. Everyone in our extended family enjoyed staying at this property, fishing off the dock (caught three Northerns right there) and spending very relaxing time at the lake. The furniture and beds were also very comfy. We had a great week at this property.

The place was fantastic !! Leaving some corn out so our granddaughter could see some deer was a nice touch. The place was clean and had everything we needed and more. The view from the cabin was excellent and seeing the wildlife roaming thru was unforgettable. The pictures don't do it justice, it’s exactly what you would expect a lake front home to be. Looking forward to coming back and enjoying this wonderful gem again. Our host was easy to work with and just a text or call away. Well done !!
