The Howelson Building is right in the center of shopping and dining. Half a block away from the local fly fishing guide shop too. Great stay, everything was stocked, clean and ready to go.

The Place was very clean and nice. The road noise is pretty bad; if you're a light sleeper, I'd recommend something else or at least a white noise machine. Otherwise, great location.

This was a great place to stay for our summer vacation. It was very clean and felt very safe. There were a few broken items and getting into the building was tricky (as described in other reviews). The employee that assisted me from the host company was very kind and responsive the two times I had to call her. She did a wonderful job of helping me, but I think there's only so much the host can do about the peculiar building entry right now. Even with all that I would happily stay here again.

Property was perfect in size, comfort and location. Great to be able to walk easily around downtown. Although we didn’t need it, the mountain shuttle is very convenient to get to skiing.

Great location and great condo with everything we needed. Only issue was bedding- there wasn’t a mattress pad or mattress protector on the king bed and the sheets kept coming off at the corners.

Another poorly run corporate VRBO. Kitchen was sparsely stocked. No pod coffee maker. Instructions not well written - for example where do you dispose of the trash? Best thing about this place is the location.

The host was great. They’re very informative and we had no issues understanding what I needed to do to check in keys, trash all the things we need to do right on a nice lay down document. The house was clean really nicely laid out and it was nice cause we had a balcony as well. That was a unexpected treat.

Nice place. Very loud on main street, but that's no fault to the host. The communication was the poorest part part for me. It took a long time to get a reply when I sent a message. It normally takes less than a few minutes with a private rental. The messages aren't time stamped, but I'd say you have to wait 1 hours for them to get back to you on average. The instructions were poorly written when you get them at check in. You have to drive across town to check in and out. I had to call to figure out how to open the door because you had to use the key to not only unlock it, but to open it. I could not find the garbage receptacle that instructed you to take the garbage to when checking out. They got back to me long after I checked out (I never did find it). But little things like this should be clearly written on the instructions. It's a commercial rental with over 300 properties they manage (I know that because the gal at the front desk told that to someone on the phone while I was waiting to get checked in). The people were nice, but it's a commercial rental. You won't get the perks of a private rental.

Great location, but very noisy. Could not get the heat to come down, needed to open the door to cool off, even turned off the heat. Kitchen was not well stocked. No dresser for clothes or bedside table lamps. Expected more for the price.

This unit is located in the heart of downtown Steamboat, and since your visit coincided with the Winter Carnival, the vibrant location certainly adds to the experience. Regarding storage, there is a closet inside the bedroom, which is why there isn’t a separate dresser in the space. The unit is smaller, so the closet serves as the primary storage area, and we understand this may not match everyone’s personal preference. Similarly, the décor reflects the homeowner’s style, and while it may not be to every guest’s taste, it is their personal home. We appreciate your note about the kitchen not being fully stocked and will share your feedback with the homeowner so additional items can be added for future guests. As for the heat, our maintenance records indicate the system was functioning properly during your stay. The comfort level can sometimes be affected by the layout and how the unit retains heat, which is something the homeowner may discuss with the HOA or their contractors. We appreciate your comments and hope you still enjoyed the downtown location and access to everything Steamboat has to offer.
