I had high expectations when we booked here. I was so excited to surprise my family with a much needed week away. We spend all year traveling and on the road for my children’s sports, I couldn’t wait to relax by the lake, fish, sit by a fire, and explore the surrounding areas. Little did I know….. First, the lake was beyond low, the chairs we brought to sit on the dock you see in pictures, was not there. We couldn’t use the fishing gear we brought. The area was blocked off. The fire pit showed in the picture was not there. Turns out there was a no burn sign placed on the refrigerator. I love the cold and we love a good fire, talk about a let down. That lake and the dock was why I booked!!! Instead, we were stuck inside with the fireplace, bc who wants to sit out the porch with 2 cameras at your face the whole time. We certainly tried but it was very much uncomfortable. We paid 125 cleaning fee for the dust to be piled on every light fixture. There were stains on the carpet and the instructions of what needed to be done before we left was annoying. Hot water lasted a shower and a half. 4 of us shower in the morning….that was fun. Thankfully my littles showered at night. 45-60 to get anywhere not the 28-30 minutes they advertise. The towns aren’t worth it either. They are over packed and not worth it. Needless to say, We will never come back. I’m so disappointed and sad. We even left a day early and the host didn’t even wonder why. It’s pretty shameful.
