Cute place with nice finishes. The jacuzzi was a nice surprise! I thought one of the rooms was on the ocean side so I could listen to the waves but not the case. Still we could wake up and I could have coffee on the deck looking right at the crashing surf and that was wonderful. Walking distance (about a mile) to restaurants and coffee and yoga. Cute neighborhood and easy to access the highway. I wish the code on the door wasn’t like 12 numbers bc I had to pull up my phone to get in the house so me and my little kids would have to be standing around while I did that. Everything we needed to cool but bring your own salt, pepper, & spatula. Thank you!!

Dishes in the cupboard were dirty. Dishwasher did not work. Reported it, they sent someone to fix it but did not use it because it had mold in it. The grill was filthy and not useable.

Magnificent Views

Wonderful views of the Pacific Ocean. Close walk to Ocean Beach Bars, Shops and Restaurants. Sunset Cliffs are only 500 yards away. Comfortable two bedroom with deck, and everything you need for a stay.

Only in the Winter

There is NO air conditioning. Inside temps during our August 2024 visit were 91 degrees. The carpets were dirty, silverware was dirty, and the 3 (if 4) working fans did not cool it down. The view was phenomenal, which was the best part of this trip. Would not rent again unless the installed air conditioning and changed cleaning companies…

Great views

Nice house in a great location. Surprised by no air conditioning but we made it work with fans. Need to put/fix screens on a couple windows.

Location is great BUT…

The place is completely filthy. From carpets to floors to vents and bathrooms… FULL ON GROSS. Surprisingly the housekeeper showed up 25 minutes before check out and started cleaning the patio area. The pictures are NOTHING LIKE THIS PLACE REALLY IS

Cozy stay with a stunning view! but child safety and improvements recommended

The view was spectacular! The room was very comfortable, like staying at a 5 star hotel. However, Could use updates on a few of furnitures, especially the deck. Deck doesn’t look like the pic at all. Pretty dilapidated, with bird poop on benches but the gorgeous view made up for it. Also, not very child proof, safety issues of my toddler getting out of the house so easily, with street access by front door (I was always on high alert with my toddler). I wish they accommodated my late checkout request of noon instead of 10am esp since there were no guests coming that day. Instead cleaner came an hour early. Also the silverware didn’t look that clean, which makes sense as I saw how cleaning lady washed them and it was done haphazardly.

Outside deck ocean view is the only good thing here.

Overflowing stinky trash can & several garbage bags in front of house between front door & bedroom window greeted us on arrival. Outside dryer vent clogged & bad smell coming from laundry appliances which we’d hoped to use (although no detergent provided). Filthy & ripped chair, very rickety coffee table & barstools. Sliding patio door stuck on track every time it was opened & screen came off track frequently. Entryway window screen with torn corner so couldn’t leave open which was desperately needed for air flow. Cobwebs w/bugs hanging from kitchen pendant lights. Called the number given upon check in & operator said I’d receive return call about my complaints in 24 hours as it was a non-emergency/security problem however I never received a call.

Worst Vacation Experience of Our Lives

We had reservations to stay at this oceanfront cottage with Vacasa and had paid an incredible amount of money to be able to stay there. When we arrived, the distance from where we had to park to the front door was longer than it should have been. The property had been advertised as being all on one level, but when we arrived, we learned that was not true. The property itself was not nearly as nice as pictures on the site had shown. Since I have orthopedic difficulties that make it difficult for me to go up and down stairs, this was a disadvantage right away. The property had been advertised as having Wifi. When we arrived, we could not get Wifi to work, so we called for help. Help couldn’t come out until the next day. After we had left the property, we received a call late in the afternoon of the next day indicating help was on the way. The property had no air conditioning, so we were only able to sleep off and on during the first night there because even with 2 fans, the temperature was 82 degrees. After that, we realized we couldn’t stay there any longer, so I called Vacasa to cancel our reservation. They were glad to do so, but they refused to refund anything even though we left that very morning. We had to move to a hotel to be able to get air conditioning. This trip ended up being a financial disaster. We had hoped for a vacation of a lifetime, but then Vacasa happened. Don’t ever let this happen to anyone else..

Beautiful vacation home

This vacation home is beautiful and clean and has an absolutely magical view of the ocean and pier. We love the neighborhood and the easy access to the beach and restaurants. A few small things could have made our stay a lot nicer, however. Like, a working can opener, a few extra towels, softer sheets, better working kitchen utensils overall, a softer couch (it’s rock hard) and most importantly, a bottle of all purpose spray cleaner and a cleaning cloth or a pack of Clorox wipes so we could clean up after ourselves. I didn’t think to bring cleaning supplies and all we were supplied with was a small bottle of dish soap and a pack of very thin dollar store paper towels. It’s such a nice vacation home but I feel that the little creature comforts could definitely use an upgrade. Over all we loved our stay here.

Big Disappointment

Property was nothing as it was represented on vrbo website. Deck looked NOTHING. Like picture. Chairs were broken, railing and table was in great need of painting. There was no stairway to ocean from tge property. And there was no beach at all !! Kitchen and bathrooms were updated. Rest of house needed updating. Very, very 😞

Beautiful home

House was perfect. The view was amazing and super clean. Minor things would be the outdoor can use some TLC like paint on the porch and some Launch chairs to lay on the sun. The ironing board is broken. Other than that this home is perfect and we had a great stay. The house has no AC but the wind and fans help. Looking forward to future longer stay.

will stay again

we really had a great time. great location beautiful view. the only two things I did not like were.... the grill didnt work properly and it seemed there was more of a beach area below but once you were there, there wasnt much of beach to enjoy. we did go down the beach by car and it was good there. other than that I loved this place and would stay here again.

Windows to an Ocean View

This house has a great elevated view of the ocean and a rocky expanse of beach. Surfers entertained us every day and many people visited the adjacent overlook to gaze at the Pacific. The neighborhood is quiet but within walking distance of the area's food and shops. Off-street parking is a plus. House had most ameneties and nice bathrooms.
