Denne ø hus er en meget fredelig, frisk og glad flugt. Det er i hjertet af byen og gåafstand til skibet n Shore og Lighthouse bageri. Det har en komfortabelt møbleret hule og stor spiseplads. Der er 2 soveværelser og 2 badeværelser, med 1 queen size og 2 enkeltsenge. Køkkenet er fuldt udstyret til at forberede dine måltider. Det er møbleret med en vaskemaskine og tørretumbler til din brug. Udenfor er en stor dæk og meget stor baghave med udsigt over shell højene parken.

Perfect location

We enjoyed our stay. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well-appointed. We wished for screens. The sofa was uncomfortable but the chairs were comfortable. We both loved the location. Our interaction with the owner was great!

Wonderful!

This home is conveniently located and the owners a very accommodating. We loved it and have already planned a trip to come back.

Peaceful stay

Great home away from home

Clean, quaint, newly remodeled home away from home! Nice location, amenities are as promised in listing. Our family loved our stay in this place and would return in future vacations. Added bonus owners were pleasant people as well when we met them. Recommended this place to friends even before we got back home!

Loved our stay at the cottage!

Joe & Gina are like old friends the minute you meet them. We enjoyed our stay at the cottage-clean, very cozy and comfortable. We especially enjoyed sitting on the back deck and listening to the birds. We stayed 3 weeks and left very happy and relaxed. Hope to come back to Dauphin Island and would definitely stay at the cottage again.

Perfect Getaway

If you are looking for a quiet place to relax and get away from it all, this is it! We spent a week in the house, and couldn't have been happier. It seemed like everything we needed had been thought of and provided. We loved the location, as it was just far enough removed from the busier part of the island to feel like a real vacation. Would highly recommend this place!

Great place

This is the second time we've rented this sweet little house. We love it. It's well-kept, cheery and has the essentials you'll need, right down to an air pump for the vintage bikes in perfect condition that are included with the rental. We'll definitely rent again.

Winter retreat

Birders Cottage is a sweet, clean, simple, yet totally equipped rental home. It is close to everything; it is scenic and quiet. Plenty of dishes, utensils & cookware. Linens supplied are top-notch. Deck is lovely in sunshine with view of Indian Shell Mounds. Easily accessible from Mobile.

Wonderful Home

Wonderful, clean, fully-stocked kitchen, comfortable furniture and lovely landlords! Gina and Joe were wonderful and gracious at check-in, could not ask for a nicer place. We particularly enjoyed the bikes provided and rode around the island daily. Beautiful deck with arbor in the back. Quiet and relaxing neighborhood. Very dog friendly. We will certainly be making a return trip.

Perfect seclusion!

Dauphin Island is amazing to begin with but this little home made it even better. First of all, the host has just about everything you would need already there: coffee, cooking supplies, linens, extra pillows, etc. Second, the location was quiet, secluded, yet close enough to the beach and water that you felt like you were right there. Lastly, the host was always quick to communicate before and during our stay. Highly recommend. If you are bringing a dog, keep in mind the floors are slippery for their little feet.

Home away from Home

This house was a great stay and more than what we could have asked for! Joe and Gina met us the day of check in and gave us a tour and overview of the home which was so nice and personal! The home has many amenities so you don't need to bring anything other than your personables! This home was in a quiet yet accessible location and just made us feel at home! It was really hot/humid the week we stayed and this home stayed nice and cool and never once we're we miserable inside! They are dog friendly as well and my dogs loved the space in the back yard to run and play! We will definitely be staying here again! If you want to be on the island but stay in a quiet place away from the hustle and bustle.....you have to check this out!

Perfect Place

I've rented a lot of houses on Dauphin Island over the years and this one is the best I've stayed in. The decor is beautiful, bright Key West colors and a bird theme repeated throughout the house. The location is good; an easy bike ride gets you to the grocery store, the beach, the ferry, the fort. The house comes with a charcoal grill and five bikes, nice perks. The house has been meticulously cared for. It is loved, and it shows. Owner Joe met us the day of check-in and showed us how everything worked and where everything was located. The entire experience was excellent. We'll be back next year. This is my new favorite beach house on DI.

The Best Getaway Ever!!!!!

Our cottage was magical!!! Decor was so nicely done with a beach theme. Very updated and spotlessly clean!!! Loved the location on a shady, private lot. We enjoyed the bikes that were at our disposal...biking to the Lighthouse Bakery for breakfast and lunch. Dauphin Island is a treasure as is this quaint cottage!!! Had delicious seafood dinners from Islanders and JT's Sunset Grill. Took ferry to Gulf Shores to eat at LuLu's for lunch and to buy t-shirts :-) Would recommend this cottage to others...would almost rather keep it a secret...lol!!!!!! Our hosts met us at the cottage with keys and a gracious greeting. Provided a binder with info on restaurants, attractions, cable TV channels...etc. #bestgetawayever!!!!!

Amazing Home

This home is very well maintained and clean. This is the first place I didn't have to clean upon arrival. The owners definitely take pride in it. The kitchen is well stocked with nice pans, baking or cooking, utensils, toaster, coffee pot and some other stuff we didn't need to use. The drawers were neatly organized so it was easy to find things. There were plenty of towels as well. If you are staying for more than a week you'll need to do laundry of those. There was also soaps for laundry, hands & washing dishes. They made sure you had paper towels & toilet paper upon arrival. We felt very comfortable here, just like at home. This is one property I highly recommend! Definitely a 5 star! Best eating spot....Dinners Ready. This is a small place where 2 or 3 ladies make homemade meals daily for 2 people to take home and bake or microwave. We baked all the meals and they were all so yummy. In fact we froze and brought some back home with us...and they were still frozen in our cooler after a 15 hr day. We enjoyed the beach behind Ft Gaines, weather permitting. Ft Gaines is a must see. The ferry was fun to take over to Ft Morgan (unfortunately we did not see that), but able to check out Gulf Shores and Orange Beach. Like always, it's always sad to see vacation end but we had a nice time. We love the coastal beaches on the Gulf!

Wonderful Vacation Home

We loved this house! The location was so nice, and all of the trees made it feel very private. We spent a lot of time on the deck. The back yard is really big, and also very private. We enjoyed watching the hummingbirds, butterflies, and dragonflies. The house was VERY well-stocked. The pots and pans were good quality, which made life easier, because we did cook quite a bit! There were lots of nice touches. The owners really did seem to think of everything to make our stay comfortable.

Nice quiet neighborhood. Joe and Gina made sure we had what we needed. VERY comfortable beds and furniture . We really enjoyed the grill and deck. Will definitely stay again.

Beautiful location with birding trails and Bay Area.

House is adorable with a very relaxing, soft beach vibe; house is clean and spacious. Lots of windows to enjoy beautiful surroundings and rainy days. Large luscious, green backyard with a nice deck. Couple of birding trails across the street from the house for a morning walk. Most relaxing location I have ever stayed.

The Bird Cottage!

This sweet cottage has become a home away from home for us! We have stayed here, I think 4 times, now. It's very well appointed with all that we need, always very clean, and is so cute and comfortable! The location is great; walking distance to the bakery, Ship & Shore, and the art gallery. Joe and Gina are wonderful and are always very easy to deal with and helpful. Thanks again to you both and we hope to see y'all soon!

Fantastic place

This is the 2nd time we’ve stayed here and it’s a great place! So nice inside and the perfect location for birding as you walk across the back yard to enter shell mounds! We again loved our stay and look forward to visiting again soon! Regina and Joe could not be nicer hosts and we met their super nice neighbor this trip.

I was born and raised in Mobile, Alabama. I have been vacationing with my family on Dauphin Island since I was 5 years old. I currently live in Theodore, Alabama, about a 30 minute drive from DI. I have been a nurse for the last 37 years and an ultrasononographer for the last 14 years.

This house has been in our family since about 1955. It was built by my grandmother on 2 lots. The lots were purchased before the bridge was built and the house was built shortly after that. We have spent the last 1 1/2 years renovating it. We have put lots of tender loving care into its' revival and we love it.

Derfor er dette overnatningssted unikt

This pretty little cottage is in a prime location for birdwatching. It is close to the center of town and a very cheerful home away from home. The house is at ground level and there are no steps to climb.
