The lovely waterfront and golf course views are only matched by the privacy, quiet, and calm you'll find at this charming Sunset Beach home. Golfers will love the access to Oyster Bay Golf Links (for an extra fee), and the entire family will love the large, lush yard shaded by live oak trees and featuring a soothing hot tub. For something more active, go for a dip in the pool and take in the crisp outside air. Start the day with coffee and follow it up with a long afternoon snooze on one of the deck's chaise lounges - why not? You're on vacation.

Inside, you'll find high ceilings, lots of natural light, and hardwood flooring throughout the main living, kitchen, and dining areas. The open layout is perfect for entertaining and features comfortable furnishing and cozy gathering spaces. The well-equipped, full kitchen will please the group's chef, and there's plenty of mealtime seating between the breakfast nook and dining room table. When it's time to head out, you're minutes from the beach, and Nicholas Sparks fans will want to pay a visit to the 'Kindred Spirit Mailbox,' just three miles away.

When you return from a day out, relax in the central air-conditioning or get cozy in front of the gas fireplace if it's chilly outside. Entertainment options at home include two streaming-capable TVs with free cable and high-speed WiFi, perfect for posting the day's pics to social media. Don't call it a night until you step back onto the deck to admire the stars rising over the water.

Awesome view of a golf hole from Oyster Bay Golf Links (fun watching players hitting their approach shots into the green). Beautiful sunrise coming up over the canal and lake. The pool was nice as well - better for morning and early afternoon sun. Love watching the alligators moving up & down the canal, too. Master bedroom was the only tv out of 3 that were working, but wasn’t a huge issue for us. Favorite part was a VERY quiet neighborhood and great for walking anytime day or night.

This is a beautiful home on the water with impressive views of the lake and a golf course. We especially enjoyed watching all of the wild life which included the alligators and different species of birds. The owners/host were very gracious in providing us with an ample supply of essentials. We did have a couple hiccups which the host addressed in a timely fashion but prevented us from giving this property an excellent rating. Thank you.

Great Private Retreat

We SO enjoyed our time in this home. It is spacious and there was plenty of room for all of us to be together but not be in each other’s way, lots of space for my young grandsons to play and explore. We loved the openness of it, and the views are so nice. we made good use of the beautiful pool, as well as the hot tub. We also loved the large shaded deck. We would absolutely stay here again.

Overall, the house was beautiful and had everything we needed. Was very close to the beach, shops, restaurants and activities. The pool and hot tub were both in great shape and we enjoyed both of them. The property team was very responsive when we reached out for assistance with a minor issue. Would stay here again!

Great location with a pool

This was a wonderful place to stay for our trip to the beach as a family. The house was large, pool was clean and warm, and on a the waterway with alligators swimming past! We had a few struggles with getting into the house and the AC not working, but these were handled efficiently by Vacasa and the host. Short drive to the beach.

Just okay

We had a few things we were unhappy with at the house. It was 85 degrees in the house when we arrived and it took SEVERAL hours to cool. One of the doors to the back porch was missing a door handle, so it wouldn’t lock. Hopefully they have gotten that fixed. There were a couple other minor things, but the stay ended up being enjoyable. The house is beautiful, but I feel like Vacasa could do better managing it.

BEAUTIFUL HOME AND NEIGHBORHOOD

Beautiful modern home in an upscale golf community (on the 16th green) Could use some TLC to fix minor issues and to spruce up the outdoor landscaping in the backyard. comfortable bedding, large bathrooms, great water pressure, excellent wifi.

Wonderful house

We rented this house over the holidays for our family of five. It was perfect for that. The management company was very responsive to the minor concerns we brought to them. Only reason I give it 4, as opposed to 5, stars is the inability to use the hot tub, which we were all looking forward to.

Sunset Beach, beautiful home!

This home was beautiful, immaculate on the inside! Short drive to beach. The outside seems un-cared for, the pool was green when we arrived. Thankfully we could use the hot tub. The dishwasher was broke and the jets in the master bath. Vacasa worked with us and we were happy to stay here and would consider coming back, especially if the pool issues are addressed. We did see a few alligators at the shore line, so be alert!

We apologize for the issues you had upon arrival, Brooke. It's been discovered the pool is leaking which causes a series of issues leading to the green water. The homeowner and pool company are working on a solution. Maintenance will take care of the dishwasher and master bath tub jets. Thank you!

The house very nice. When we arrived the outside trash can was over flowing I called someone moved the can to the curb but I had to pick up the trash myself it had started to smell. I called the agent but it still took two days also the upstairs air did not work it took two days to fix.

Nice home but not as advertised

The house was very nice inside but the outside could use some care. The pool was very dirty when my family arrived on Saturday and wasn't cleaned until Monday. The hot tub advertised was not working, had very little water (maybe 12") and had frogs in it. The chair cushions on the deck were very dirty and stayed wet the entire week. The chairs and cushions by the pool were very nice though. I'd still give the house itself a very nice rating because it was truly a beautiful house and very clean inside.

Sea trail

The property was beautiful. Virw from back deck was amazing. House had issues though. I immediately called once arrived because a window was broken and the screen doors were laying in the grass. Trash can was full at the road when we got there but property manager emailed and said the HOA called and asked us to move it back even though it was overflowing. Jets in tub doesn't work. Dishwasher doesn't work. AC went out while we were there and no one called us back for 12 hours. My husband ended up fixing it.

Could have been better

There were a few things that made us unhappy with our stay. First, when we checked in at 4:30pm the house was 84 degrees downstairs and 87 degrees upstairs. Obviously that’s unacceptable when you pay that much to stay somewhere. There were two infants 10 months and under staying with us and it was 81 degrees in their room when we were putting them to bed. The house is managed by a property manager (Vacasa). They were quick to message me back, but they didn’t seem empathetic at all. Their recommendation was “to set the thermostat to the desired temperature and wait for it to cool the house” lol. By the next morning, the house had cooled to 70 degrees and there were no more issues with that. Next, one of the sliding doors in the kitchen had recently been shattered by a wayward golf ball. The glass had been replaced but there was no door handle on the door leaving us unable to lock the door. This is an obvious safety hazard for several reasons. We were able to find some random poles in the garage to Jimmy the door were it wouldn’t open. There was also a few small pieces of glass left behind on the hardwood floor in the kitchen. My wife stepped on a piece, luckily it didn’t cut her foot. This was very concerning with infants crawling around. Lastly, the master bedroom had a very strong cheap cologne smell that would just about take your breath away. Luckily it was localized to that room only. The house really is beautiful, just needs better upkeep.

Awesome house, but awful experience.

The amenities listed for this house were a pool and a hot tub. Upon arrival on Saturday, we quickly learned that the pool needed cleaned. It was a greenish color. The hot tub had very little water in it, was dirty and had about 3 frogs living in it. We called Vacasa (the property management) and told them of the green pool and requested for someone to come clean it. They said someone would call me or come to the property within an hour. No one ever called or showed up. On Sunday the pool turned even greener (it matched the grass). Again we called Vacasa and they said they would send someone as soon as possible. A pool company came Monday morning and the guy was there for about 5 minutes and told us nothing, other than the level was extremely high and unsafe to swim in (an 11). He brushed the sides of the pool and left without telling us what the next steps were and when it would be safe for my 4 kids to swim. I called Vacasa again after the pool company left and wanted an update from them on when my kids could swim in the pool and also requested a refund since the pool had been unusable for 3 days so far and the hot tub wasn't filled. The corporate number referred me to the local supervisor, Bella. After 3 requests, Bella called me on Tuesday morning and said we could get a refund for the pool and I mentioned being moved to a property that had a working and safe pool. Bella stated that someone from reservations would call me sometime Tuesday about being placed somewhere else. In the meantime, a maintenance person came Tuesday and put more chlorine in the pool, which turned the pool even more green. I called Vacasa again on Tuesday night wanting to know the status of being moved. I was informed that someone would call me that night and tell me. No one ever called. On Wednesday morning my family and I decided to take things into our own hands and to check out of the house early and go somewhere else that had a functioning, safe pool for my 4 kids to swim in. I called Bella again on Wednesday morning and left a message asking her to please call me asap and let me know if we were being moved because we had another condo lined up. I never heard from her so I booked the condo and we checked out of the property early. I have called Vacasa multiple times and have requested a refund for the 3 nights we didn't stay there. As of Sunday,no one has been able to help me and no one has called me back. I will never deal with Vacasa ever again! Don't stay!
