My listing explicitly states that the home is not handicap accessible, and the listing includes clear photos of the property, including the stairs, bedrooms, bathrooms, and overall layout. At no point before booking—or between booking and arrival—did I receive any questions or communication regarding accessibility needs. Had I been asked, I would have been more than happy to answer any questions about the property and help determine whether it would be an appropriate fit. The accessibility concern was first raised after check-in, when the guest determined that the home did not meet the needs of members of their party and requested to cancel the weekend for a full refund. Because the home had already been reserved exclusively for their stay, and its accessibility limitations and layout were disclosed prior to booking, I was unable to provide the requested full refund. I also want to clarify a couple of other statements in the review. There was no mold found in the home, nor was mold established as the cause of the symptoms mentioned in the review. Additionally, the furniture throughout the home is standard-height, quality residential furniture and is accurately represented in the listing photographs. I completely understand that this property will not be the right fit for every guest, particularly someone requiring a wheelchair-accessible home. That is precisely why the listing identifies the property as not handicap accessible.
