A beautiful, peaceful, and quiet location in the countryside not far from Cayuga Lake, with easy access to Ithaca and all the attractions of the many state parks in the area (Taughannock, Buttermilk Falls, and Treman, to name just a few). The house is sparkly clean and fresh smelling, and very comfortably furnished. The dishes, glassware, and pots and pans were plentiful and tastefully chosen. We loved the great selection of wine and cocktail glasses and the restaurant-quality gas range in the bright kitchen, which made it easy to cook nice meals to enjoy in the dining nook, with its windows looking out onto the lawn. The hosts went above and beyond in providing us with a brand-new drip coffee maker at our request (there is also a Keurig coffee maker with a generous supply of coffee). The bathrooms (a half bath off the kitchen, an en suite bath with shower downstairs, and a bath with a tub but no shower upstairs) were large and well stocked with towels, and having a clothes washer and dryer at our disposal was convenient. My only wish would be to update the outdoor furniture (table and chairs) and have a more defined sitting area to make it more comfortable and inviting to dine outside in nice weather, since the lawn and surroundings are so pleasant and private. All in all, the house was a welcome, restful place to stay while visiting family and friends in Trumansburg, Ithaca, and the Cayuga Lake area.
