Thanks for taking the time to leave feedback. the first sentence in the description of this house says "it's easier and saves you a money to make an inquiry and contact me directly instead of booking online, but i do accept online reservations. Just click "ask owner a question" to the right." i'm forced to take online reservations (like this renter did, and i advised against it), but my house is not for everyone. i explain this to everyone i talk to on the phone and via email. my house is not fancy. it's not perfect for a group of non younger ladies to vacation at. I tried to explain this as clearly as possible. i'm fine with a 3 star review, because my house is NOT a LUXURY resort. it's an awesome cottage on the most beautiful fresh water in North American located ideally with access to the North, South, Middle and Sni Channels and of course the big Lake St Clair. Thanks for staying with us. You are welcome back anytime we have availability. I deliberately upload bad pictures of my house to keep everyone's expectations aligned with the property. My house is actually nicer than the pictures; so i don't under understand the review; but that's OK.

For people reading this...this is probably this guest's 3 year in a row renting my house. They must like it or they would find another place. 100% thankful for all returning guests (about 65% of guests are repeats) and this guest, Justin, is SO awesome! they always clean up well and let me know of any issues! thanks a million!

Yes, the interior cold use some painting and maybe the exterior deck too (rest of the house has vinyl siding, so not sure what else to paint on the exterior). I'm sorry the kitchen was not super clean. i'll be sure talk to my house keeper about this immediately. That's not acceptable, not at all. i'm sorry you walked into a kitchen that was not super clean. I really strive to keep this old house (over 100 years old now) as clean as possible. I want all guests to be happy when they arrive and throughout their stay. Yea..the neighbors are so entertaining. They have the best stories and know all the history of the entire town and area!
