LOL) I also just want to let you know that we have recently added many new upgrades to our unit as of August 2019 including: * New windows * New Lanai doors * New drapery * New décor in the living room * New snorkel gear * New boogie boards and skim boards * We added cable TV to all 3 of the TVs in our unit so you can enjoy TV in bed if you wish. * We upgraded our AC units with 6 hour timers * and we organized all our closets to maximize storage. Thank you for your review. We think the view is beautiful too. :) You are correct about the sandy beach. Just to clarify for any future travelers reading this, our resort does have a sea wall in front of the ocean. If travelers are wanting a sloped lawn onto a sandy beach they will need to book into a resort further down the Kaanapali Beach coast. The Papakea Resort is an Oceanfront resort, not a beachfront resort. Hopefully, our pictures show this clearly as we want future travelers to know exactly what to expect when they book with us. A sandy beach is a mere few minutes walk away but it is not directly in front of our resort (unless the tide is low) but we will always have a seawall. That said, the grassy area is a lovely spot to watch the sunsets and enjoy all the free extra activities offered at the Papakea Resort. The Kaanapali beach is a 5km beach that will require a few minutes walk to get to by crossing the grounds of our resort and a very short (less than 1 minutes walk) across a bridge that spans the canal between us and the resort next door called the Kaanapali Shores where the Kaanapali Beach begins (or ends depending on your view. LOL) We loved having you and would welcome you back again at any time. Thanks again for your review and for the reminder to share details about our property as well as the near by beach. :)

Hi Kyle, Thank you for the review. It was our pleasure to have you and your family. We actually checked in right after you checked out and we worked very hard to make our place EVEN BETTER! We replaced missing and worn items with brand new ones. We organized the closets and all the baby gear again. We purchased new snorkel gear and boogie boards. BUT our biggest upgrade was the brand new windows and lanai doors we had installed. We then dressed them up with brand new drapes. The unit is looking fabulous. Other guests had suggested we extend our AC timers so we did that too! We now have 6 hour timers and state of the art glass in our unit so it is as cool as a rockstar! We upgraded the décor a little too; needed to match the new drapery. LOL I hope you will come and stay with us again sometime and check out all our new upgrades. To that end, we just upgraded it again this past August (2019.) We had state of the art new windows and lanai doors installed. The wall of glass is truly impressive now! We also upgraded our AC and added some beautiful new decor. We also replenished our beach gear and bought new snorkeling gear too! If you loved it before you will want to move in now! Glad to hear it. That food court truck is the best! There is so much selection and the lighting and picnic tables make it such a nice place to have a meal. I love that we can just walk there in minutes and don't have to worry about driving or parking. Next time we hope you can stay longer. Thanks for your business. You were great guests! Hi Sarah, Thank you so much for your review. We completely agree with you and hope one day to be able to install a second shower in our loft. There are a few i's to dot and t's to cross to be able to do that but it is on our To-Do list for sure. Stay tuned for updates on our ever-evolving improvements to our unit-D407.
