Are stay was very nice. The only complaint was the fact that the pickelball courts were not available. One of the reasons we booked this property was to play pickelball. It had a bunch of construction equipment on it. And the construction was pretty extensive.

Aloha, Mahalo for staying with us and for your review. We’re glad your stay was very nice overall. We’re sorry the pickleball courts were unavailable and that construction disrupted your plans—especially since playing was a main reason you booked. We appreciate you letting us know and we will have our team look into the situation and the communication around court availability. We aim to keep listings updated when amenities are affected and regret this fell short during your visit. We hope you come back to Maui soon and that we will have the opportunity to be your host again! A hui hou kakou! (Until we meet again.) Mahalo, My Perfect Stays

This property is listed as having AC, there is a small BTU unit in the living room which cools the livingroom and kitchen where the bedrooms stay 85-90 degrees. It was impossible to get decent sleep because it was so hot. The owner needs to invest in split units for the bedrooms or at the very least blackout shades to help with the west Sun. The pack and play included with the unit was broken and absolutely disgustingly moldy and stained. While the property management company did the best they could and sent a AC tech, and an extra fan, it was still so unbearably hot. The management company denied that a place and play was listed with the rental, Once I showed them screenshots that a pack and play was listed as included with the property, they brought a new one for our last night. We loved the location, so while we wouldn’t stay in this unit again unless the AC situation is fixed, we would stay at Papakea again. I appreciate the property management for following up on issues, however, the terrible sleep quality makes this a 2-3 star listing.

Aloha, Thank you for sharing feedback about Papakea H206. I’m sorry your stay was uncomfortable due to the heat and the condition of the pack-and-play. We appreciate you letting us know and we will have our team look into it. Our team responded during your stay with an AC tech, an extra fan, and a replacement pack-and-play once the listing was confirmed; we’re also reviewing our housekeeping standards and the listing accuracy. We are evaluating longer-term solutions for bedroom cooling and window coverings so future guests can sleep comfortably. I’m glad you enjoyed the location and appreciate your honest review. We hope you come back to Maui soon and that we will have the opportunity to be your host again! A hui hou kakou! (Until we meet again.) Mahalo, My Perfect Stays

We had an amazing week at this condo. Especially loved opening the windows at night and listening to the ocean, the whale watching and the fact we saw sea turtles right on the shore! Comfy beds and well-equipped kitchen were a plus! I would stay here again!

Awesome place! Stunning views and beautiful sunsets. I have nothing but great things to say. Just one negative but not a deal breaker and that is mainly the bathroom areas need a good detail cleaning. It wasn’t dirty just I am a detail person. I would definitely stay in the exact same apartment again.

The unit was spacious and well equipped! Only downside was the AC is only in the leaving room and bedrooms have only vents. Porch has a nice view to both garden and ocean. The location of the resort is very good as well! Very recommend!

Beautiful stay in paradise

The location, amenities and comfort at our stay were all first rate. We had everything we needed - facilities for meals, comfy beds and views from the master BR and lanai/deck to the ocean, pool, swaying palms and putting area were amazing. We watched whales spouting and breeching from the lanai daily, and made good use of the facilities, like pickleball, the putting green, bbq, and pool/hot tub. Many beach walks, snorkeling and boogie boarding were on the menu. Highly recommended for a fun and comfortable stay by the beach!

Condo was nice, quiet location for the most part (one night of noisy neighbors) but we enjoyed everything Papakea had to offer. Our condo had sand toys for the kids, chairs, and an umbrella which was nice to be able to use. I would definitely return for another stay.

Papakea is perfect

This is our 4th trip to Maui and we have always stayed at the Papakea. This trip was just as amazing as the last three. The room was as advertised. Clean, comfortable and just a 1 minute stroll to the ocean for the most beautiful sunsets. Couldn’t be happier with this room and location.

Pool and sunset

We enjoyed our stay. We appreciated snorkeling gears and golf clubs/balls that were provided. The whole property of Papakea Resort doesn't border any swimmable/snorkelable beach, but we saw gorgeous sunset in the evening and the rainbow in the morning! We had fun trying different beach every day, all within 20 minutes of driving.

Peaceful Paradise

Papakea has been a favorite stay of mine for over 20 years. The location is quiet with spectacular ocean views, pleasant beach walks and plenty of amenities. The grounds are nicely manicured daily. The condo is well appointed, sufficiently stocked, and very clean. Checkin/out is very easy with kind and helpful staff. I enjoy cooking/grilling during my stay, but there are plenty of restaurants and shopping within walking distance. Overall it’s a great vacation spot.
