Enjoy a mountain getaway just a short walk from the slopes of Purgatory Resort. This inviting townhouse puts you close to skiing, snowboarding, hiking, mountain biking, and the shops and restaurants of the resort, while providing a comfortable retreat with mountain views, a private balcony, wood stove, and access to a shared pool.

The location makes it easy to spend your days exploring without spending much time in the car. During winter, walk to Purgatory's ski slopes and enjoy downhill skiing, snowboarding, Nordic skiing, snowshoeing, and other snow activities. When warmer weather arrives, the surrounding mountains offer scenic hiking and mountain biking, along with opportunities for horseback riding and other outdoor adventures. Downtown Durango is less than 30 miles south when you're ready to explore the city.

After a day on the mountain, return to the townhouse and settle into the comfortable living space beside the wood stove. The home offers a welcoming place to relax, take in the mountain scenery, and recharge for another day outdoors.

The fully equipped kitchen makes preparing meals at home easy, whether you're starting the morning with breakfast before heading to the slopes or gathering for dinner after a full day of adventure. Wonderful vacation

Walk to the slope is a little icy for little kids but overall a great stay. The kitchen is well-equipped which is so nice and the place is clean. Plenty of space to sit around and eat. Overall a great experience.

Overall Great Stay

Great Location, Great place to stay. Overall 5 Stars. I would have liked to have more towels though...More towels in the kitchen, more towels in the bathrooms and just more towels in general. There was a lot of water to clean up coming in from being out in the snow...and we had a lot of snow while we were there.

Purgatory Condo

This property is very nice, but it has not been kept up as well as it could be. A deep clean is needed. We had some issues, and reached out to Vacasa who contacted the local management group and they were very responsive- for which I was grateful. BEAUTIFUL location.

Hassle filled booking and workers crew all around

So when we booked the property, nowhere did it mention that they require you to download a rental agreement sign it and then send it.. big hassle when you are on the road.. Only when they recieve the signed rental agreement then they would send you the code. Then the checkout is early at 10 am. Beginning 7 am we started hearing painting crew and then we had to close the balcony as the painting crew were on it and overlooking inside the apartment. This all should be mentioned in the property that you can only stay inside closed apartment and won’t be able to enjoy views as such. I would not stay here again.. the plus point was that the property was clean,

Not so Good

Kitchen dishes were not clean. Entry area had strong smell of mold & mildew. It was very warm and there was no AC. There were no ceiling fans. Floor pedestal fans did not work well at all, especially the one in the master bedroom. There was no kitchen trash can or bags. We used our own! The only trash cans were the very small ones in the bathrooms. Totally insufficient!! Furniture seemed cheap and not comfortable. The location was amazing. The place was NOT.

Perfect Location!!

This condo was the perfect warm and cozy spot to come back to after a day of skiing on the mountain. Everything was as described, clean and well put together. We would definitely love to come back to this spot. It’s true you can walk to the ski lift!

Awesome Condo

We loved the updated, clean condo. The mountain view from the family room/kitchen are AMAZING. The condo has everything you need. The only downside is that you have to go to the building next door to use a shared washer/dryer. My husband and I had a wonderful vacation.

Bright modern condo at Purg. I've stayed at plenty of condos up there and this has to be the cleanest, up to date and comfortable place to stay at. Truly enjoyable!

Fine accommodations, poor hospitality

The space was comfortable and well equipped. The water is very hard which I didn’t expect. The WiFi is poor. Even the direct Ethernet connection is poor. My Verizon hotspot worked alright. Video calls are not easy to make in this location. The staff is friendly and professional but are not given any authority at all to make exceptions for individual needs. The communication process is also frustrating. Every email sent and call made to the support address/number is answered by someone different. I learned this when making a health-related request for late checkout. I was seriously put off by how this was handled. They expressed almost no interest in working this out with me. Instead I was told multiple times that the housekeeper would need to start cleaning promptly at 10am. I hurried to get out by then, and I did. Since I had nowhere to go, I waited around and the housekeeper did not arrive until 11am anyway. That was what I requested and was denied. I asked that a manager call me to discuss my experience, and no one responded or called. I let it go, but I will not rent or refer unless Vacasa proves they understand that this was unacceptable.

It is our policy to have guests check out promptly as housekeeping has many units to clean and a limited amount of time to do so. At this time we are not allowing early check in or late check outs. If a guest needs to check in early or late the ey can do so by booking that full day. Great Location

We had a nice stay, everything was clean and well maintained. Great location. Spent a few days enjoying the mountain coasters and paddling on the lake. Beds and couch were a bit stiff, may not be a problem for those who don’t mind a firm bed. They were redoing the carpet in the hall so we got stuck inside for a bit one afternoon until it was done, wasn’t a huge deal though. Overall great place for the price.

Just a couple of things that would IImprove the space/rental. It was freezing cold and took over 12 hours to warm up. None of the heaters were on. Need better directions for fireplace, no matches or kindle. The biggest item was there was a ‘wet dog’ odor when you walked in. and was very overpowering! Almost thought about not staying because of the smell..

The Durango Purgatory townhouse was perfectly located for adventure, two balconies, was very clean and roomy and the accessories were plentiful (kitchen items - blenders, crock pot, etc.)

A truly Peaceful and lovely place.

This condo is an amazing value for your dollar. it’s clean, beautifully appointed, and very well taken care of. The place has every modern convenience you could ask for. Highly recommended.

Love Purgatory

We were overall pleased. It was clean, and spacious. The only complaint would be the lack of comfort of the furniture. The bed was ok but the couches and chairs were not relaxing. The TV is awkwardly placed over kitchen table so watching TV in late evening was super awkward. We ended up bringing in the camping chairs. Washing machine and dryer in basement of building next-door (bring quarters $1.50/machine because the current coin shortage makes quarters hard to find).
