My wife and I enjoyed the whole experience. It was a very nice and clean property. We loved the privacy and how quiet it was during our stay. The view of the lake was fantastic.

The family and I arrived late at night due to work and school that day and the property was well lit and ready to go for us. The weather was perfect, no mosquitoes, and just an all around perfect time. The property itself is breathtaking and has everything you need for a wonderful time.We will definitely be back!

We stayed for the weekend and had a great time! Loved enjoying our coffee on the deck watching the hummingbirds and listening for the loons. Hammock was comfy for napping. So quiet and relaxing- would definitely come back. Thank you!

We loved staying here the cabin is absolutely amazing also the lake and property and I hope nothing changes just such a historic place. Everything was as listed we didn't need anything. Was easy to get a hold of Kurt and Ellen for questions. Also extremely dog friendly being secluded. Would highly recommend and can't wait to stay again. Thanks for sharing your amazing place.

The cabin was as pictured and described and was very nice. A true hand-built log cabin. There were many different areas on the property to hang out. We brought more supplies than we needed since they had most everything we needed. We were there during the week, so it was pretty quiet. Friday night, things got decidedly much noisier, some late-night partiers. The only real challenge was having to use the bath house at night, but it was much better than having to use the original outhouse! We brought our dogs and they loved being there, especially with all of the other smells in the area and, of course, the many chipmunks. I even caught I nice Northern Pike off the dock, which I released. We also had a nice bonfire on one of the drier evenings. All in all, we had a very pleasant stay and there aren't always places we can go with our dogs. The check in instructions were excellent and the interactions with the owners was great.

Beautiful cabin and location. We felt so lucky to spend several nights being “unplugged” in the northwoods.

We really enjoyed our stay! The weather changed on check-in day, and we were considering taking our UTV instead. I had several questions about the driveway, and Ellen responded right away and even sent photos to help us decide. We appreciated her quick response and willingness to help!The craftsmanship in this cabin is incredible. I especially enjoyed noticing the details in the log work and scribing, the handcrafted door pulls, along with the original window cranks and cabinet latches. The stone fireplace made it extra cozy, and arriving to find a fire already going was a great touch. The bed was comfortable, kitchen nicely appointed with everything necessary to cook and clean up. I loved using the cast iron on the propane stove. The outdoor bathhouse was warm and comfortable and shower was great.We took Kurt & Ellen’s suggestion and headed to Billy Timber’s Pub for a Wisconsin Friday night fish fry, and it hit the spot! Back at the cabin, we connected to the Wi-Fi and enjoyed a movie by the fire.We would have liked to spend more time outside, but the wind had other plans! Hopefully, we’ll get to enjoy more of the setting on another visit.Thanks, Kurt & Ellen, for sharing this special place with us!

Fun family trip to Northern Wisconsin!

This was a great place for our family to enjoy Wisconsin lake life while we were visiting for a wedding. Such a beautiful location!

Love this place!

This was our second year at the cabin and it did not disappoint. What a great place to rest and relax for a week. We particularly enjoyed the free firewood this year! Thank you for such a great place to stay!

We enjoyed the lake wildlife in a private peacful old world cabin enviroment. The family has an absolute jem and I am greatful for the opportunity to expirience the northwoods with my family!

This was a cabin which at that time had an outhouse (since upgraded). We thought the property was fantastic and very well equipped kitchen with many amenities (nice shower room, gas fireplace, fire pit with large supply of firewood, charcoal grill, canoe, raft to swim to, intestines, hammock, 2 docks). We had an incredible stay and hope to return next year.

Beautiful, quaint property. Cabin has rich character!

Overall this property is perfect for a getaway up north. Two great piers for fishing. Canoes and a row boat for water activities. Wish I had a week to stay here!

Beautiful spot

Absolutely beautiful location with so much shoreline. Good fishing, clean shorelines, good docks. Kitchen stove was finicky to use but did work.

Beautiful property

The views were beautiful.excellent location fishing was ok. Would have been nice to have usable water for drinking or cooking just to know ahead of time about the water quality would have been a plus,but we did enjoy the stay and the property would definitely go back

Student Organization Officer Retreat

We loved how picturesque the property and cabin were, and the easy access to the lake. There was a raft, tubes, and a canoe that we took advantage of as well as a fire pit and rope swing. Overall a really beautiful place.

Loved our stay here! While everyone else was suffering from heat and humidity we were cool and having fun on the lake! The views were beautiful, there were so many access points to view and visit the lake. The kids had a blast catching frogs, fishing, swimming, and canoeing. The owners were friendly and responsive. We felt so lucky to have this treasure shared with us so that we could experience it and make our own memories here!

Wow this is exactly how we want guests to feel!!!! It means a lot to us that ur unplugged and enjoying a step back. It reminds me of our kids catching frogs, turtles, snakes and fishing off the piers and don't forget the out house!!! Although now we have a new septic and toiket.
