A perfect quiet retreat

Have visited the Los Gatos area many times and this was our nicest place to stay. Quiet, comfortable and self-contained but our host Aileen was always available to help. Strongly recommended!

Wonderful place

I stayed here for almost 2 weeks. Very quiet and relaxing. The owners are very kind and considerate. This place is a "home away from home". Highly recommend this over a hotel room!

Fantastic

In one word, Fantastic. This lodging ranks at the top of vacation accomodations... location, hosts, guesthouse, gardens and pool. To sum up our experience, " We wanted to come back before we even left!"

Home away from home

The owners of this property are phenomenal. If you want to have all of the amenities you’re accustomed to and feel like you are at home - stay here!! Beautiful grounds & pool. The nicest people you’ll ever meet. The guest house was perfect! Thank you both❣️

Beautiful location, cute casita, but not for business

If we were here to disconnect from the world this would have been a perfect location. The hosts were pleasant and the pool was beautiful. However, the internet was mostly unusable and the inside involved a lot of DIY. Overall, this place would be ideal for couples looking to get away.

Theresa, thank you for taking the time and opportunity to record your review regarding your stay. We welcome reviews as it affords us to better understand expectations and needs. We strive to meet those needs where and when we can. Your review stated that ‘the internet was mostly unusable and the inside involved a lot of DIY’. When your party arrived there was an initial issue connecting to the wifi. We called our IT technician to resolve it. I recall checking with you that day, before he departed if you were able to connect. I was told that issue was resolved. On another occasion during your stay I checked again about the wifi and you remarked that it was fine except when all three of you were trying to access the internet. If I had been made aware contemporaneously that you were unable to access the internet I would have been more than happy to contact our internet provider and/or the IT technician to resolve any issues. I do need clarification regarding your review comment about ‘the inside involved a lot of DIY’. I am not sure what you are referring to. If you can clarify I would be more than happy to respond further. Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback.

Beautiful setting for rest and recovery

We came to run the Quicksilver 100 km and Aileen’s property was close to the park. Our stay was fabulous as Aileen’s property is peaceful and very relaxing. Aileen is the perfect host as she offers recommendations and knowledge of the area. Aileen has fruit trees and herbs in her garden which she happily shares with you. We will be putting Aileen’s property in our “repeat” list of places to stay.

The perfect place to stay in Los Gatos

Barbara and I really enjoyed our stay at Aileen’s Guest Cottage while visiting my sister and family in Los Gatos. The living area and kitchen worked extremely well and was very comfortable and great for entertaining guests. The outside area around the pool was also a wonderful place for entertaining as well as relaxing in a beautiful garden setting. The upstairs bedroom worked well with a very comfortable queen bed. Aileen is an excellent host making sure we had everything we needed. The cottage was also well supplied and met our needs extremely well. We will want to return on our next trip to Los Gatos.

Comfortable cottage in lovely, quiet neighborhood.

Aileen is a very accommodating host who provided lots of conveniences to ensure I had a comfortable stay. Check in was easy and I felt very welcome. The cottage is roomy with good seating in the downstairs area and a comfortable chair in the upstairs sleeping area. The queen bed is comfortable. The kitchenette has all the necessary equipment for making a simple meal. Parking in the driveway is very convenient as I did not have to search for a space on the street. The grounds are secure and well lit (and lights can be easily turned off/on from inside the cottage). The location is close to downtown Los Gatos and downtown Saratoga. There is good freeway access to Hwy 17. I would most certainly rent again.

Air Conditioning?

The property was beautiful, very clean, super well located. My only problem was it was advertised as having air conditioning. The AC was a large floor unit for the bedroom upstairs. There was no AC downstairs where I was sleeping. We had 100 degree temperatures the week we were there. I received one text during the week saying we should please close the sliding glass doors on the main floor when the AC was on. I had to open them at night to cool the room off. The pool saved me. I went out very late to take a dip & lower my body temperature most every night. Thank heavens for the beautiful pool!

Great place - beautiful back yard.

Really enjoyed this place. Very comfortable. Great outdoor patio for dining, relaxing, sitting in the sun. The hosts are very nice. Would definitely stay there again.

We were sheltering in place, so didn’t do much except ha g out by the pool reading and swimming.

This is a little paradise, a lovely holiday house artistically set in a beautiful garden, with a shady swimming pool. The neighborhood is quiet. Aileen has an old fashioned love of hospitality, a real joy in welcoming her guests. We feel lucky to have found this perfect place to stay.

Marvelous staycation

We had a wonderfully, relaxing stay at this quite and peaceful property. Aileen is a very gracious and welcoming host. Beautiful gardens, great pool and a cozy and well appointed cottage. Very close to lovely and vibrant Los Gatos and pristine nature.

A lovely respite

It was my good fortune to find Aileen's lovely guest cottage when I had to temporarily move from my home. The cottage was spotless, fully stocked, cozy and comfortable. Aileen was gracious and welcoming and always available when I had a question or needed assistance. Thank you, Aileen, for making a trying time a little less so. I look forward to finding a new reason to return!

A fabulous gem

I needed a place to stay with my partner while recovering from surgery. Aileen's guest house was PERFECT. Quiet and isolated, it's located in a tranquil Los Gatos suburb. There is a kitchen and a fridge as well as access to laundry. Aileen respected our privacy while also generously giving us some of her homegrown figs and tomatoes (so good!) There's also a pool, which I wasn't able to use (not after my surgery) but it was lovely just to sit beside it and read in the California sunshine. It's a short Uber jaunt into downtown Los Gatos and my hostess was even gracious enough to give me a tour of the area. I recovered in record time from my procedures and part of the credit has to go to Aileen and her hospitality.

Garden Hideaway

This hideaway was as nice as advertised and everything for which we were looking in a weekly rental. The hosts were friendly and generous and the location in the Central Bay area allowed access to attractions in all directions. From here we were able to take day trips to S.F., Monterey/Carmel, and even Yosemite. Or you can enjoy a nice day visiting the shops and restaurants in quaint downtown Los Gatos. After a long day travelling, it was so nice to come back to a picturesque garden patio and pool area in which to have dinner, a drink or just relax. We are runners and were able to snake our way to the Los Gatos Creek Trail which is about 1.5 miles away. From there you can go north towards San Jose or south towards the Reservoir. When our host saw us out running, she even supplied some pepper spray in case we decided to tackle the trails around the Reservoir (there were too many people to run into any mountain lions).

Wir waren mehr als zufrieden! Das Objekt übertraf unsere Erwartungen bei weitem! Wir kommen gerne wieder. Es hat alles "gepasst": von superfreundlichen Vermietern, über die Ausstattung der FeWo, bis zur Lage und der tollen Umgebung. Wir sind glücklich, dieses Objekt gefunden zu haben!

A truly comfortable and quiet place to spend time.

Cozy and quiet get away

This property was wonderful! Set in a quiet neighborhood this charming cottage is on two levels. Floor 1 has an entertainment area and a small kitchen. Upstairs has a queen bed and bath. There is a washer and dryer dedicated to the unit. Our hosts Aileen and Sam were wonderful. We grilled dinner together one night. We never had a chance to enjoy the pool but the gardens show the the attention to detail that is a hallmark of the property. When we checked in we found coffee by Keurig and 1/2 & 1/2 in the fridge. If you plan to be in Los Gatos for a week, you’ll be much happier here than at any hotel.

Would stay here again, lovely and quiet!

We loved staying here! It’s very private and everything we needed was there. It was very clean and quiet and the bed was very comfortable. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The neighbourhood is absolutely beautiful, would move there in a heartbeat if feasible! We were close to all amenities and great restaurants. We would definitely stay here again.
