Our stay was perfect. The host provided excellent communication to make our stay completely worry-free. The description of the property was accurate- the view was stunning and everything in the home was pleasing. Hands down the best rental experience I have had. Check out was smooth- no long cleaning list with threats of additional charges! I can't wait for my next stay at The Roost!

This property was spectacular. A gorgeous view from the large front porch, and beautiful flower gardens. The house was decorated perfectly, and the kitchen was the best stocked with pots, pans, etc., of any VRBO we have stayed in. The owners were wonderful to work with. Would highly recommend this property.

We really love the kudos you gave to our stocked kitchen. I have always said that THE ROOST kitchen is better kitted than my kitchen in our home back in Fayetteville :-) We hope you will return to our vacation home soon...bring the kids back for THE POLAR EXPRESS in December. We can't begin to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay. You have created such a beautiful and special place. From the breathtaking front porch view of the magnificent mountains to the sweet wildflower bouquets in each bedroom, your hospitality and attention to detail shine through. This is our second time at The Roost, and we look forward to many more visits in this "home away from home."

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this adorable home that is not only well appointed and comfortable but also offers a majestic and ever changing view of the Smoky Mountains. And it’s close to town in the lovely Hazelwood area. We spent quite a bit of time relaxing on the front porch after a busy day of enjoying the sights nearby. We drove up the very windy road up to the Cataloochee Valley in the late afternoon to spot elk. Amazing!! Also hiked over near Bryson City enjoying three waterfalls at the Deep Creek area. Another highlight was touring the majestic Biltmore. The Sweet Onion restaurant was a fabulous dinner recommendation. This owner clearly loves this property as it is very well cared for and we are so grateful we got to experience it.

We had an absolutely phenomenal stay at The Roost! The house is incredibly clean, cozy, well stocked, etc. etc. etc. The view is amazing - pictures do no justice to how beautiful it is. We spent hours just relaxing on the porch, enjoying the breeze. Super convenient to town but it feels like you are miles away once you get to the house. The host was fantastic as well - excellent communication, and I felt like they were actually happy we were there. We will definitely be back to this amazing property!

We were so happy to have the time to return to The Roost for an extended stay and it was just as lovely as we remembered. The home as well as the surrounding grounds and gardens are meticulously maintained. The quiet, private setting offers beautiful views from every room and the home has lots of natural light. Beds and furnishings are very comfortable and the kitchen is well appointed. The mountain views and close proximity to downtown Waynesville offer the best of both worlds. Our favorite room in the house is the oversized front porch with lots of comfortable seating and incredible mountain views. Susan is an attentive host who responds immediately to any questions or concerns. Thank you for creating and maintaining a welcoming retreat in the mountains!

The view alone is worth the price! The house is comfortable and creatively themed. There is a bathroom for each bedroom. The kitchen has all the cookware for a stay at home vacation. However, the location offers amazing sights to see in the beautiful Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains. Hope to come back to this lovely house in Wayneville, NC.

Susan and Keith are great hosts. Their property is warm and inviting and perfect for a getaway. This was our second time staying at their property and it was a pleasure to stay there. The property is well maintained and very centrally located to shops, stores and restaurants. We’re planning on staying there again next year if they will have us.

Great home with beautiful views

Property was in great condition and very clean. Beautiful mountain views, easy access to national park and other activities. Front porch was relaxing with many comfortable seating options.

Magical place decorated beautifully for Christmas with a gorgeous view from the porch. Spotless and every need covered. It’s obvious a lot of time and effort has been put in to make it a special experience. Many ideas for places to eat or things to do given as well. Much appreciated!

Wonderful getaway

The house was beautiful and the view. Very clean and well equipped. The host answered every question and even checked on us during the trip to make sure we had everything we need.

Wonderful get away

The property was absolutely beautiful. We loved using the kitchen and cooking in some to enjoy the breathtaking view!! The yard was well maintained and beautiful flowers. We will definitely be renting again. It was home away from home.

This was the most special cottage and the most welcoming host. We loved everything about our stay here. The view is spectacular! It was such a convenient location as we enjoyed time in beautiful Waynesville and several other surrounding towns. We saw many beautiful mountain views but none any prettier than the one we enjoyed from the swing on the porch at THE ROOST! The host went out of her way to make sure our stay was perfect - complete with restaurant recommendations and local events and sites info. I highly recommend this gem for a mountain getaway!

We came to NC for a wedding and to make wonderful memories. The Roost will make the top 5 list of great memories of the week. I can't list everything that was just perfect for our stay, I'd run out of room. The home was our dream for the week and Susan went over the top to be the best hostess we have ever experienced on our over 4 dozen VEBO rentals!We will be back!

Spectacular!

The Roost was the perfect place for a weekend getaway!!! Everything was just perfect and the view from the front porch was breathtaking! Susan was always available for questions and the checkin process was super easy!

Meticulously maintained home with outstanding views. Owners have thought of everything needed to make stay comfortable and enjoyable. Home is spacious and has lots of natural light. Surrounding grounds are well maintained. Nice neighborhood and excellent location. Owners were easy to communicate with as needed. Will be returning next year!
