The house was comfortable and clean, featuring cozy rooms and a quiet atmosphere. The host was quick to respond and made check-in easy. There were also extra goodies like coffee, tea, and bagels which we appreciated. Thank you!

Kanab trip

Such a spacious and comfortable house. Nice quiet location outside of town, but still very close to downtown dining locations. Will stay here again!

Wonderful Stay

Burro Flats is a wonderful house. For my family of 11 it fit perfect and everyone had a great stay. My only recommendation would be to add more cooking utensils (pots/pans/sharp knives)

Beautiful home

The home was perfect for our group of 7 adults celebrating 3 birthdays! Great location. Celeste was a wonderful host. Very kind and very helpful I definatley reccomend.

The house is lovely and Celeste and Nicholas are great hosts!

We rented the entire house for a family gathering and were very pleased. The house is beautiful and had plenty of room for the 13 of us. Celeste and Nicholas were so friendly and welcoming and were knowledgeable about the area. I highly recommend this property.

This family was warm, friendly and treated us as though we belonged! We really appreciate that kind of attitude! Plus it made us so happy to see them all, from grandkids to grandparents and every age in between, having a good time and making themselves at home!

Beautiful Area

This house was the perfect location for our trip to Bryce and Zion. Kanab also had a lot to offer and was beautiful. Our host was very helpful and friendly. The house was very large and could have easily accommodated 20 people. It was well stocked and comfortable. I would stay here again.

Awesome property

This was our second stay at Burro Flat. The home is ideally set up for large groups ( we had 5 couples). Abundant parking which was critical for our group as each couple had a truck and utility trailer and utv. Would highly recommend!

Great Accommodations!

We had a group of 8 stay here a couple nights on our grand circle tour around the Grand Canyon. Highly recommend! Had everything we needed. Plenty of room for us to have our own space. Great location & setting. Great communication from the host. Book it!

Five Stars Once Again

I think I've lost count of the number of stays at Burro Flats with my large group. Each year we come to volunteer at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary and Celeste and Nicholas are the perfect hosts. Thank you for another great trip and we'll see you again next year!

We make this an annual trip

Nicholas and Celeste are the best hosts you could ever hope for! We have rented this property for a large "girl's trip" several times. The home is very comfortable and has everything you would ever need, including spectacular views. We'll see you again next year!

Great for a large group

This is the third time our group has stayed with Celeste and Nicholas. We could not ask for anything more from the property and the hosts. I would highly recommend this home for a group who wants to stay together. The kitchen table and main living area is great for being able to socialize and enjoy each other's company. The rooms are beautifully furnished and comfortable. We'll see you again next year!

Another Great Trip

This is the second time our group has rented this beautiful home. Just as we experienced the first time, everything was perfect. We had a group of 8 adults volunteering at Best Friends Animal Society and we were very comfortable. The kitchen and bathrooms are well equipped; Celeste and Nicholas have thought of everything! Thank you both for another memorable trip. We'll see you again soon!

We loved this home!

This was the perfect home for our family of 9. We felt cozy and at home right away (we landed in Vegas at midnight and got into Kanab in the wee morning hours and there was coffee and bagels waiting for us). Celeste was an absolutely amazing host and was super helpful answering our questions about local attractions. We loved watching the donkies and humming birds. This home is the perfect location for day trips to Zion, Bryce and the north rim of the Grand Canyon. I would recommend this home (and this host) in a heartbeat! It’s a true gem!

Family of 11

Our family of 6 adults and 5 children had more than enough room. It was a convenient location for our visits to Bryce Canyon, Zion and Grand Canyon parks. The kitchen was well stocked with fresh fruits and bagels for our use. Celeste and Nicholas greeted us personally and showed us around the house and explained how to use all the appliances. Celeste even took the children out to meet and pet the burros. I would definitely recommend this house.

The rental was awesome!

The rental was awesome! There were 8 of us. We had a ton of space individually and together. Both kids and adults enjoyed the video games and the pool table. Loved that four of the six bedrooms had their own bathrooms and there were two additional bathrooms, one each for the two bedrooms that didn't have their own bathrooms. Hiked every day and feel especially lucky that we won the Wave hike lottery on the first day we tried.

very good experience and value

Our entire family (16 people ages 3 months through 87 years) spent the Thanksgiving Holiday at this large home. We rode ATV's for two days on the sand and red-rock trails around Kanab and hiked in Zion National Park another day. The home was a comfortable size for all of us although 1 more bathroom would have been helpful for our large group. Celeste met us on our arrival and walked us through the home. She explained and showed where everything was and what the rules were. Some minor things kept me from rating this a 5-star: a good set of knives, enough bowls for the entire group, and and extra blanket for each bed.

It's good that we could make things work even though there were three more guests than our stated maximum of 13 and the reservation paperwork that was submitted stated that 12 guests would be arriving, so that is what we prepared for. We understand that sometimes things get a little hectic and discombobulated trying to coordinate large family get togethers :-)

Lovely and practical property

Loved our stay at this House. Well stocked with everything you need, all essentials like utensils, utensils, napkins, extra tp, games, bathroom shampoo and else, and more. The house is close to Kanab, a few miles to the heart of downtown. It is also 80 miles or less to Bryce Canyon, Zion, and the Grand Canyon. We were a group of 12 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The 5 bedrooms gave our group plenty of room to spread out. The house had a spacious living room to all get together with games, movies, music, dancing and opportunity to enjoy relaxation after a day of hiking. The beds were all very comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked and the bathrooms had lots of extras to make everyone feel at home. On top of all that the owners Celeste and Nicholas were very friendly, giving us a great welcome, answering questions, and always there if we needed anything. I totally recommend this property for group of friends or family who want to enjoy the beautiful South Utah and North Arizona area.

Grand house, grand hosts, grand location

Full disclosure, I am in love with the burros so I saw Burro Flats through rose colored glasses. Seriously though, what a lovely place. I enjoyed the decor from the billiards room to the British Invasion room to the back patio! It was all very clean and well stocked. I liked the large shampoo, body wash ... Plenty of towels and extra blankets. The hosts, Nicholas and Celeste were a very gracious and, might I add, interesting couple. As hosts, they were available but not hovering. I actually liked that they lived on site (on the lower of 3 floors) as I was alone on this leg of my trip. I am already cooking up family re-union possibilities. The home is beautifully situated in a meadow with red rock cliffs nearby and the location is very convenient to Kanab and all of the parks. My favorite, Zion, is just half an hour away. Best Friends is just 15 minutes away. I found it a warm and comfortable place to stay- a perfect option for a party of one or party of ten.

Best Little House (LOL) in Kanab

I think we were the first folks to stay in Celeste and Nicholas' home. It is wonderful, magical, and fun! You never know what you are going to find here....there are surprises around every corner. We stayed in the Cowboy room....we could have slept in a different room every night, but we didn't! We did relax on the futon in the loft on a couple of lazy afternoons. The only thing that would have made this trip better was if Nicholas had been there and cooked for us! If you can get Celeste to take you to her yarn room, you will see an array of colors!! She is soooo talented! Both of them are sooo friendly and can tell you about great places to visit. Our reason for coming back to Kanab was to volunteer at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. You really have to drive up and see BFAS and the gorgeous land it sits upon. If you really want a treat, volunteer just for a morning or afternoon. They have dogs, cats, piggy's, bunnies, parrots, horses and much, much more. Best Friends also has tours that are free and will show you what great work they are doing! Other things are the north rim of the Grand Canyon, Zion, Page, lots of gorgeous scenery in Utah and Arizona. Go to the Rocking V (get a reservation if it is during Grand Canyon season) and have lunch or dinner, you will have a blast. So come to Kanab......you won't be sorry!! Come and visit the SECOND Biggest House in Kanab!

Our April 2022 Kanab Trip

We are a group of Veterans that made a connection with the outdoors during an assignment in Alaska many years ago. We still get together often, and this year we decided on a Utah adventure. Instead of hotel rooms, we looked for a VRBO that could support the needs of 5 couples. Burro Flats in Kanab couldn't have been more perfect for our needs! With 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms, it was a great fit since we were staying for 9 nights. A large circle driveway for parking (we had 4 cars, but room for many more if needed). The house was large and clean. The main floor is open concept with a kitchen big enough for everyone to be in that space without getting in the way. Everything you need to cook and dine. The dining area and table is big enough for 12 to sit. The living room area has a large couch and 2 love seats, plus a large wooden bench area along the wall for more seating and an area with a pool table. A large covered deck to sit outside with the hummingbirds, a view of the Burro pen and the beautiful Utah landscape. The Burros are cute and you'll hear them bray before feeding time, plus several dozen hummingbirds eating in the mornings and early evenings. 5 of the 6 bedrooms are upstairs and the main bedroom suite is downstairs. A half bath is off the kitchen so guests don't need to go upstairs or use the main bedroom bathroom while in the main living area. A laundry room with a washer and dryer was across from the half bath. We are an active group going on adventures each day, so with 10 people getting ready around the same time, no-one experienced having a cold shower due to running out of hot water. All beds were Queens with the exception of a King in the main bedroom, no complaints about comfort. The owners are super friendly and straight forward on everything. No negative surprises on what to expect. Everyone in our group would highly recommend this place!

Wonderful!

Wonderful experience! We were a group of 4 couples with trucks and utility trailers with our utvs. Ample parking for all of us. House is very well set up for a large group. We are already planning a return trip next year!!
