Fantastic spot in a great neighborhood. Cute, quiet street that's close to a ton of things. Once you get through the front door all is great! Would definitely stay here again.

This is a fully equipped, well-furnished apartment with most everything two people would need/want. The kitchen is totally modern, and the bathroom is good, with a mirrored medicine cabinet with storage shelves! As with every basement apartment where we’ve stayed in D.C., there are some quirks. The main quirk for this one is that the front entrance under the stairs is extremely narrow and the stairs down somewhat steep, so if one is a very large person and/or has large luggage, it might be a bit of a challenge. However, once inside, all is lovely, well-lit, and air-conditioned (which was so appreciated in the hot weather)The location is excellent, in Adams Morgan close to shopping, excellent restaurants and cafes, and public transportation.

Our staying in Washington

This is the perfect location! Right off of Adams Mill, where all the restaurants and bars are and there’s a grocery store around the corner! We love it here cause it’s also very close to our relatives. We stay here every time we come!

Pretty good stay. The street is residential, lovely, and quiet, and conveniently located near a grocery, coffee shops, restaurants, bars, and the National Zoo (in the midst of some significant renovation, as are many things in DC right now). It is a very convenient 12-minute walk to the Woodley Metro. The apartment has a very good shower!The kitchen is equipped adequately but not extensively. I felt odd putting half a cup of yogurt into a huge bowl (no smaller ones offered) but I guess a large one is better than sticking your face into the yogurt container. On subsequent days, I used a coffee mug.Some family footsteps upstairs but not during sleeping hours.Three issues that made this a four-star instead of a five-star review for me, two of them noise-related: the refrigerator cycles on regularly (as many do) and it is not particularly quiet. There is a pocket door between the bedroom and the refrigerator but they are adjacent and the noise is still audible.The second thing is the quite loud sound the water in the pipes makes in the apartment downstairs when they use the water upstairs. Third thing, the bedroom a/c blows directly on you in the bed. I don’t prefer a direct hit, but you might!Generally, though, a nice place to stay, especially if you’re not sensitive to sensory stimuli.

Perfect place to stay

Great apartment in a quiet neighborhood. Enjoyed restaurants along 18th while able to eat breakfast in. Close to bus and metro lines. Would definitely book again.

Business trip to DC

The place was clean and well stocked. Beautiful neighborhood. Close to great restaurants, public transportation. Able to take a morning walk through the National Zoo. Will definitely stay here again.

Great place and host!

We loved staying at this place! It is so charming and ha everything we needed. The bed was very confortable, we cooked and we did laundry and all worked well. The little living room is so charming! (The one thing I would recommend is to check the sofa bed because it’s in need of some update). The location couldn’t be better and even the neighbors are kind and pleasant.

This was my second stay. Was a great stay per my last visit. The team is super responsive whenever I expressed a reasonable need. The Adams Morgan area is great and very convenient. Great restaurants. Safeway is right around the corner. Metro is close by. Parking is tough so I opt for Uber and Metro. Great walking though so the option is there. Anyway, I will stay here again.

Great place to stay in a great neighborhood!

This charming basement apt was perfect. All the comforts needed, very clean, lots of amenities! This is one of the best neighborhoods in DC— so walkable to about 1000 great restaurants, parks, wonderful walks and nearby metro! It’s a perfect place to stay! The apt has a very comfortable layout and lots of space. It’s a great place to stay when in DC!

Cozy English Basement

Very comfortable and excellent location. Everything we needed for our visit with family in the neighborhood. Property manager was very responsive and helpful. We hope to return the next time we are in town.

Nice convenient neighborhood

This little apartment was perfect for our family trip to DC. It’s in a nice neighborhood conveniently located within walking distance of the zoo, plenty of restaurants, a park and a metro station. The property manager was quick to respond when contacted. We would certainly stay here again.

Delightful

"We had a wonderful stay at this basement apartment! It was spotlessly clean, and the location was incredibly convenient with the metro just a short walk away. There were plenty of dining options nearby, which made it easy to grab a bite. The bed was very comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep, and the host was absolutely delightful and responsive throughout our stay. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay!"

Lovely stay in a wonderful neighborhood

I had a lovely stay! The place was very well appointed. Home away from home. Great kitchen with everything you need. Bed super comfortable. Pullout was very comfortable. Communication was super easy and fast with the property management. The neighborhood is awesome. Easy to get to Adams Morgan restaurants, shops and services. Safeway a couple of blocks away. Metro close by. Really an ideal spot for a visit to DC.

Cool and quiet

This apartment is welcoming, quiet, clean, and spacious. Our stay was a result of us needing to find adequate air conditioning close to our existing home in DC. Not only did this place provide wonderful air conditioning, but it was also a wonderful place to work comfortably as well as relax and feel like we were on a vacation just a few short streets away. We enjoyed walks at night exploring the winding streets and character filled architecture of the surrounding neighborhood.
