Awesome stay with friends at Solaria for a week! Great experience. Very clean, air conditioners super cold, minor issues but host staff followed up quickly. Would stay again! Oh, the Views!!!! The views can’t beat!

The house was absolutely beautiful and well maintained. The view was incredible and the pool was perfect. And just a short walk to the beach. The property management comp, Villas of Tortola, was amazing! We had an issue with the refrigerator and they responded right away and even brought us ice. I would highly recommend this house!

Wonderful stay at Solaria over New Years. Breathtaking views morning to night and fun villa layout. The team coordinating everything (mostly Sharlene for us) were great at getting back to you on questions, help, recommendations, etc.

Our stay was truly seamless. It was such a great property for three couples each getting their own room that locks with a keypad. I have also stayed at several Virgin island villas with views and this was by far the best view I’ve ever had. It was STUNNING. Also Sharlene the property manager was always available. No complaints whatsoever

Gosh, we're so glad you had such a great time at Solaria. We agree it's great for three couples. You each have your own space, but the communal areas are fantastic for relaxing, tanning, or just hanging out by the pool and eating and drinking :) What holidays are made for!

If you’re looking to stay on Tortola, look no further!!! Book this place!!!! It’s outstanding. Everything was excellent. I’ve traveled the BVI’s for decades. Nothing beats this house!! The check in was smooth. Everything you need, from extra towels, beach towels, kitchen utensils, etc was there. The pool was great. I read these reviews like everyone else and always say, ‘But what was wrong?’ Ok, I would suggest adding cushions to the pool lounge chairs. Stay here. Enjoy the view. Have a really good time!

Solaria works well for three couples, great location on the West End.

Solaria Stay

Everything was exactly as we expected from the listing, photos and pretty experience. Perfect location, weather, amenities. Kitchen appointed w everything we needed to feel at home - travelling w our son who is a chef who had all he needed to prepare wonderful meals for our family. Gorgeous views from every room. We spent a week at Solaria in May 2025 and had a fantastic experience. The house is very comfortable and well-equipped. The bedrooms are all separated, providing tons of privacy. Booking was easy and Sam was great about communicating with us. The house is just beautiful and the view is spectacular. Its a great base to explore Tortola.

Great location. Fabulous views

You couldn't ask for a better location. Close to the best beaches. Close to restaurants. The family gathering areas in the house are great. We spent most of the time by the pool. What a view!!

Paradise with a view

Solaria is an outstanding choice for 3 couples or a family. View is exceptional and the villa is well appointed. Location is great. Near the beach. A relatively short walk , but steep trek returning to the villa. All in, I would highly recommend.

What a beautiful view and location!

What a beautiful home. Was very relaxing and a great stay on the island. The home was well kept and Sam and Pinky were perfect and attentive to all our needs and questions on arrival and thru out the week. Appreciate you Sam and Pinky!

Great Vacation Home

My family of 5 had a great week of vacation at Solaria. The 3 bedrooms allowed for privacy while the living area was spacious enough for the whole group. The house was very well equipped with everything we needed. The location was really great. It’s close to several restaurants and close to the Smuggler’s Cove beach. The communication with the owner and house manager was great as well. We will definitely stay here again if we come back to Tortola.

Great house in Tortola

The house was fabulous. Exactly as shown. Great for 3 couples. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking on. Laundry room was well stocked. House was beautiful and clean. Definitely would stay here again.

Solaria, a wonderful villa

The villa is very well appointed, lots of room and the views, truly amazing. The pool was always cool and clean. The kitchen had everything we needed and we cooked often. For Thanks giving we had a grouper stuffed with lobster we procured locally. Started relaxing the moment we arrived. Very secluded and private.

Best Vacation Ever !

Tortola BVI was the best vacation ever, we enjoyed everything about it. The weather was absoluty beautiful ! The Villa was absolutly beautiful, it was everything advertised and then more, the bedrooms were located in different locations in the house with much privacy, and everything was supplied that you needed like home. Very private , the manager was adorable and very helpful , and the pool was spotless and well maintained. We will definatly go back and recommend this Villa to all our friends. Loved it !

Perfect island retreat

Five of us shared Solaria for two weeks and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. The villa layout was perfect, giving each couple privacy when needed. The kitchen and common areas were well appointed and we had everything we needed for a nice day at the beach. Of course the best thing was the location. The views were absolutely amazing and we could even hear the waves from below. The drive up is easy and quick. Having stayed in many places throughout the islands on all sorts of "roads" this was a plus. We walked down to the restaurant for coffee in the morning plus a walk along the beach. Other restaurants were very close by. Communication with owner/manager was quick. Overall, we would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Anniversary

What an amazing house. We traveled with all adult family members and were overwhelmed with the beauty. Rosy was there cleaning and happily gave us a tour of the home. We got lost coming back from the store and called and got turn by turn directions while on the phone. You will likely want a car but man oh man it’s a steep drive. Used the pool more than expected and absolutely loved our time at Solaria. We will be back and highly recommend this home. Also our first trip to Tortola did not disappoint. What a lovely place with equally lovely people.

Unbelievable Views, Beautiful Villa

Sam, Sharlene and Pinky are the most welcoming hosts we've ever met. The villa is large, with private bedrooms and en suites for each, so families can have together time as well as alone time. Air conditioning throughout, including in the family room (a BIG bonus in our book). The pool is in the central part of the villa and overlooks the sea. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need to prepare a meal or bring food back from any excursion and enjoy on real plates rather than paper/takeout. Check-in/check-out is a breeze. We rented a vehicle (make sure you stay left and watch for cars on the switchbacks/curvy mountain roads), but also had Eric (Eric's taxi) take us into Road Town for shopping and lunch - he knows every road in Tortola and how to get to anything. Plus he's just a downright super nice person. Solaria is such a beautiful place, and perfect for families with teens/older kids.

This was a beautiful option for our stay! The view is spectacular and the accommodations were very nice. The kitchen had a lot of stocked items which made it easy to cook! We were shocked at the items and condiments that were available. A cleaning crew was suppose to come on Friday, in which we would be out of the house, but they didn't come until Saturday while we were still there and trying to dress to go somewhere. A bit of inconvenience but it was doable. If there was any complaint at all, it would be upon making the deposit, we were charged some kind of fee for 4 people staying in a 3 bedroom property. After asking about this, it was explained that it was just a charge VRBO has. It really doesn't make sense to have an extra fee for 4 people when you have a 3 bdrm house. I could understand if it was a 2 bdrm home and we had 6 people. Just beware, maybe all VRBO's charge a per person on top of the actual rental fee. We loved our visit and will gladly recommend or rent this beautiful home again.

Perfect in every way

We celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary in Solaria, and it was an absolutely perfect week. From the moment we arrived at the airport, we made contact with Patty and she met us as agreed. Her directions were great. She took us to the house and showed us around. We had ordered food from the island provisioner and they had put everything away for us when we arrived. We had some issues with the WiFi and they immediately brought another modem. The house is very well equipped and comfortable. We only used one bedroom, the one by the pool, since it was just the two of us. The air conditioner kept the room nice and cool and the bed was extremely comfortable. And then there’s that view... you never get tired of it. From morning to sunset it’s simply breathtaking. The pool was always refreshing and we used the speaker connected to our cell phones to play our favorite music. Our favorite beach was Smugglers Cove. The water was calm, cool, refreshing and crystal clear. the house provided beach towels and chairs. We also enjoyed Long Bay Beach one day but it was a little wavier. We enjoyed Brewers Bay on our last day, next time we will go there more often, Tortola is recovering nicely from the hurricane a couple of years ago. Tourism is coming back and the locals are very grateful for the business. Service is generally great and you feel safe and welcome. We mostly went to Tropical Fusion and Bananakeet restaurants and tried the Painkillers everywhere we went, but Casper at Tropical Fusion makes the best anywhere, hands down. We rented our car from Jerry’s and it was a perfect experience as well. Samantha recommended jerry as well as the provisioner. Samantha’s recommendations were spot on. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Tortola and look forward to returning someday. When we do, we will definitely stay at Solaria.

We had a wonderful stay at Solaria! The property was beautiful and you couldn’t beat the view! The villa was exactly as listed, included many amenities and provided SO much useful information. The Solaria crew was top notch - so responsive and on the ball with everything. And I have to say, I think it was one of the cleanest rentals we’ve stayed at in our many years of traveling. I don’t think I would recommend any other location on the island. It was away from the hustle and bustle of cruise ship activity, but close to great restaurants and beautiful beaches. I would definitely recommend, and return to, Solaria!Sam and JC, thank you for sharing your property with us!
